The Needs of the ManyAn odd silence filled the room as the tired young team stood at attention in front of Batman. "You left your team," stated Batman as he stared down at Miss Martian. Basic common sense would tell anyone that Batman wasn't too happy about the results of the mission. The Needs of the Many5 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
Only five feet away, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Flash, and Red Tornado stood staring at the team trying to form their own opinion about the decisions of the team and with themselves. The biggest unspoken question was what would they have done if put into Miss Martian's position.
The only missing person was Aquaman, who was infirmary with Aqualad. Despite getting medical attention in the bioship, the Atlantean teen still required better medical facilities that the ship couldn't provide.

Beast Boy walked over to the pale-skinned girl, who was surprisingly trying to get a tan. "R-Raven? C-Can I speak with y-you? I-It's something important." Beast Boy asked.
"Sure Beast Boy, what did *slight gasp* y-you want to talk about?" Raven said as she was nearly overwhelmed by Beast Boy's sudden rush of emotions.
"M-May I sit d-down next to y-you?"
She looked at him suspiciously, but said "A-Alright."
He sat down next to her and began to fidget.

It was dinnertime and a certain green skinned changing was headed to the ops room when he decided to retrieve his girlfriend, probably meditating in her room. It being Tuesday, the night Starfire usually cooked, he was in no real rush.
He arrived at the door marked RAVEN and knocked rhythmically seven times. “Hey Rae, it’s dinnertime.” No answer. “Rae, you in there?”
“GO AWAY!!!.” she shouted from the other side.
Beastboy was taken aback, sure she had been a little moody that day, even when he tried to make her feel better, but this was straight out anger.
“Rae, is everything alright?

"Raven," Her newly obtained communicator viberated with Cyborg's sauve voice. "Please come down to the conference room..." He paused for a moment before continuing. "...You do remember where it is, right?" The girl in question took her sweet time to answer with a small, yeah. "Good." The newly reincarnated Titan haven't left her room ever since she first arrived over a week ago. Sure she'd apparate to where ever they needed help, but as soon everything was said and done she quickly left to her dungeon like room. With a heavy sigh she pulled on her hood, and strolled down the hallways.
Raven passed the Rec Room and saw the other Titans playing games or lounging about. She wondered why she was the only one being called. A grimace appeared on her face. Victor was probably going to scoul her about not being a good teammate to the new Titans, or that he thinks it'd be best if she left, because Brother Blood might come back, and he didn't want to put the

Raven couldn't help but sigh as she walked into the combat room. He was actually on time, she noticed somewhat surprised. "I must say I expected you to show up late." She spoke as she fully walked into the gym.
"Give me some credit Rae." He smiled.
"It's Raven." She corrected with a glare. She was already regretting agreeing to this.
It all started last week when the Hive-Five got away after a rough battle. Over the years the group of villains had gotten harder to take down, mainly because each month they got a new member to their team. After their harsh defeat, Robin organized a big meeting and explained that they needed to step things up and try a different training method, focusing on Strength and Agility.
He explained that each member was good at certain skills. Starfire- strength. Cyborg- strength. Raven- agility. And Beast Boy-strength, but only in certain animal forms. As for inhuman strength, Cyborg and Starfire are fine. And as for average strength, Ro

Everyone was surprised when Raven decided to step forward and tell her story, even herself. Raven wasn't the type of person to tell anyone about her past, but after listening to all her friends tell their life story she couldn't help but grow comfortable around them. She knew that she could trust her friends with her life. Her mind was in deep thought, debating whether she should or shouldn't tell her friends everything. But she settled on the latter. She was afraid if she told them everything, her friends would think differently of her.
"I honestly wish that I had your lives instead. Trust me, it's better than what I had to go through " she said in her monotone voice.

No one really thought too much into Beast Boy when he became the 'Beast'. They saw it as just another animal he changes into, but it was much more than that. No one really noticed how it only came out when Raven was in danger. She didn’t even notice until it started coming out more frequently. The older they got the more and more it made an appearance, and it only came out when she needed help. As soon as Raven realized the creature only came out for her and when she needed help, she was determined to figure out the reason. So she confronted him.
“Beast Boy we need to talk.” She said getting right to the point when they were alone.
“Is something wrong?” He asked.
She was quiet for a second before confronting him. “Why does the Beast only come out to defend me?”
The question caught him off guard as he fumbled with his words, looking for a good response. “Well… he doesn’t defend… more protects.

It was a calm Saturday afternoon, the sun was up, the birds were chirping, as the calm breeze blew outside… It was a wonderful day, if only the Titans were out enjoying it…
Currently Cyborg and Beast Boy were in the main room sitting on the couch in front of the TV. They both were leaning forward, their elbows on their knees as they held controllers in their hands. They pressed the buttons hard as their eyes never left the screen in front of them. Their thumbs moved like lightning as they were determined to beat the other, and they couldn't help but give one another light shoves in hopes of distracting them. One bit his lip while the other stuck out his tongue as each were determined to win. They had been like this all day, it was like nothing could get them out of game mode. Or so it seemed…
The common doors swooshed open and in walked Raven, not that the boys noticed. Raven actually was on a mission and upon seeing the current state of the boys

The words were said in a tone so unfalteringly smooth that they could only come from one biting down on their complete discomfort. Of course, how could anyone be expected to feel at ease with a smile set so firmly on their face? It was almost as though the gentle, welcoming expression had been sketched on with permanent marker. Unknown to everyone else, however, Raven's eyelids were but concrete slabs she was trying to keep alift with bare hands. Aching hands at that, almost numb after holding a tray with what felt like a million flutes of champagne for what seemed like an equally absurd amount of time.
"You said you'd help," Richard replied, his own cheery face not quite disguising the sharp look in his eyes. "It's just another five hours or so-"

Titan fund raisers were very common in Jump City. Everyone loved to see their local Heroes throw a event for the community. Sometimes it was a dance, or a carnival, they even did a haunted house once. But no matter what they did it always brought in a huge crowd.

It was a casual Saturday afternoon for the Titans, and the Tower was nice and quiet with most of the female members out for the day. Jinx, Kid Flash, and Bumble Bee were visiting for a few days and Starfire insisted she take them to the mall. Kid Flash opted for staying at the Tower with the guys, it was a lot more fun playing video games with his gender then going shopping with the opposite.
Currently they were taking a snack break and Robin, Kid Flash, and Cyborg sat around the kitchen island eating chips and drinking soda. Guy related small talk was made as they enjoyed their junk food and sugary beverage, but the real fun didn't begin until Robin spilt some soda on his glove. He swore quietly, before walking over to the sink and took off his glove to wash it, and the others couldn't help but notice the bright pink nail polish on his nails.

Beastboy sat in the background. Every time he got the courage to tell Raven how he felt, she came back with another guy. Each one breaking her heart. He would sit there and let her cry in his shoulder. She didn't even notice, none the less care, that he was in love with her.
That's what drove Beatsboy to his depression. He would come out of his room less and less. All of his funny jokes dissapeared. He couldn't even look at Raven without feeling resentment or self-bitterness. Everything he did was on his own.
Raven, of course, noticed it from the start, "Hey Garfield, what gives? I haven't heard a corny joke in days."
"Guess I just haven't been in the joke telling mood."
"Do you want to talk?" Raven looked at him with her big, caring eyes. She wasn't completely made of stone. Placing her hand on his, she looked him in the eye, "You can tell me anything."
Beastboy felt a tear well up in his eye. He viciously wiped it away, "I'm ok, I promise."

A white cloaked figure silently walked down the barren sidewalks of Jump City. The bright white of the cloak was illuminated by the shine of the pale moon, which hung high in the night sky, casting it's silver shine down on the empty streets. No one was out at this time of evening, so the figure didn't feel the need to hide in the shadows as she normally would. Despite the radiance of her robe in the moonlight, the shadows still seemed to hang about her, clinging to her wherever they could; it was almost as if they tried to drag her into them. She was their master after all, yet she silently resisted, completely unaware of the battle she had won by merely pacing down the street.
It seemed that with each step she took, another memory would surface to her conscious. Nearly all of them aroused inner pain, but she would simply overpower them with the memories that made her happiest. I want to play.
It was a calm day in Titans Tower. Raven sat relaxed on the sofa, calmly reading her book while the changeling played his play-station, his head resting on her lap. The position the pair had was quite common as of late and they both would be lying if they said they didn't enjoy it.
Beast Boy sighed as he lost the game and the big red 'GAME OVER' flashed over the screen, now he was bored. He put the controller down on the floor, which went unnoticed by Raven as he looked to her for entertainment. He stared up at the back of her book, slowly tracing the cover with his finger before speaking. "Raven… I'm bored." He pouted.
"I'm sorry." She told him unsympathetically. He continued to pout before smiling and reaching a hand up just to tap the tip of her nose. "Gar…" She said in annoyance.
