I guess this one is in the same "series" as my recent Uhura piece . That would be the....uh... "inspirational sci-fi women of my younger years". So here we have SHADO Moonbase commander, Gay Ellis. And yes... her purple wig IS AWOL. This is her "off duty style" (as seen in other episodes). Much as I love the purple wigs, I just felt like doing a different presentation... AND using some of the great Gay Ellis/SHADO freebies out there.

This is definitely one of those pieces where I stand on the shoulders of "Freebie Giants". The Gabrielle Drake face morph www.sharecg.com/v/50270/browse… is by Gary Sayers gsayers1953.deviantart.com/ and made available by JoEtzold. I tweaked it a bit, but Gary did a fantastic job capturing the actress' quirky/cute/almost anime facial features.

Gary also crafted this off-duty hair set for her, so I couldn't resist www.sharecg.com/v/55346/browse… .

And finally the corridor is another JoEtzold offering www.sharecg.com/v/40461/browse… . So thanks to the great talent who made the raw materials possible.

It's about that time again.... time for me to take another pass at UFO's iconic Lt. Ellis. The main change this time is the hair, giving it a go with 3Dream's Zelene Hair (www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/ze…. Another view of the future from the past. This time Gerry Anderson.

Head morph, texture and hair by me, the rest by the incomparable JoEtzold from ShareCG.

Jo and SteveKitt helped me greatly with this over at the DAZ S.H.A.D.O forum - thanks guys.

And thank you for looking.

With the news that Gerry Anderson's first live action show, UFO, has been optioned for a film and seems to be moving ahead, I was inspired to deliver my take (via Poser/DAZ Studio) on what the reimagined could look like. The first piece I did is Moonbase commander Lt. Gay Ellis. Ya GOTTA keep the purple hair, man! If you lose that... well, then it just ain't worth doing!

Rendered in DAZ Studio, postworked in CS2.

Comamder Ed Straker, head honcho of SHADO, from Gerry Anderson's first live action series, '69's "UFO". Head morph is mostly by Werts, but I did some tweaking of my own to (I hope?) improve the likeness further.

This is the second piece in my reimagined UFO series, playing off the news that the property is being developed for film. This image features Gay Ellis and Nina Barry in Moonbase garb.
