The Three of Us
A TARDIS/Bad Wolf/Doctor Story
It was so strange, being in human form- Idris I believe her name was.
But it wasn't because it had never happened before, of course not.
The last time it happened, was so...so magical. Golden tendrils of light, the power I could feel through my now-human eyes and fingertips, the sensation of kissing my Doctor, yet at the same time letting my Doctor's most special companion have what she wanted most, for a moment.
I love my Doctor, and I'm not afraid to say it, but my Doctor and I, our love is not bound by human terms. We are so different than merely friends, or dare I say, husband and wife, no. It's as if we're the same, bonded to our life of danger and adventure.
And that's why I let her in, why I let any of them in. My...his Bad Wolf especially. He loved her, and I was happy for them, my leather-clad Doctor and my Golden Bad Wolf. It's what I wanted most for them.
I wish it had felt the same as being the Bad Wolf when I was

"I'm always alright."
She knows he's not, but she doesn't call him up on it, not in front of Mickey. She thinks it would be insensitive and quite rightly suspects that the Doctor would never open up to her with another there. But it worries Rose that he can be so far from alright and yet she's not sure why; she can usually read him like a book, always knows when he's upset and has seen him at his furthest from alright but for the first time she doesn't know what to say to help. For all she knows he fell for Reinette, or maybe it's because she fell for him, or maybe it's just because she's yet another one he couldn't save but she does know one thing; right now he needs her and when her Doctor needs her then her pain, distress and confusion don't matter.
So she goes to him, when Mickey's asleep in his new room, Rose goes to him and she sits with him. She doesn't say a word, just pulls him close and kisses his temple and he

Rose sighed deeply, rolling over again and curling into herself slightly. She stared blankly off into the darkness, her tired eyes fading somewhere in between open and closed, but she knew that she would not fall asleep. She had been trying for the last three hours.
It was not that she was not tired, or that she was not sleepy; she had had a long day - a long several days - and she was quiet ready to get some well earned rest. But she was still recovering from her recent run-in with a parallel world. Running her fingers through her hair, she rolled onto her back again, staring up at the dark ceiling. She could not stop thinking about him and worrying.
It was not just that she would never see him again, although that might have been part of it. It was not even that she wanted him back. She was scared for him. Mickey the idiot, trapped in a strange world, defending the earth. It was not that she doubted him, but she still worried.
When Rose had met the Doctor her feelings toward Mickey h
HeartbeatsIt wasn't the first time Rose had crawled into bed with him (when he was actually in bed at night), but it was the first time he had been unprepared. The Doctor had showered and put on sweat pants, and was willing himself to sleep when a drowsy Rose padded into his room and slipped in beside him.Heartbeats4 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Instinctively, she nestled into him, resting her head on his chest. He knew he shouldn't, but he liked the feel of her hair tickling his chest and her bare arm draped over him. She didn't seem to mind either, but he attributed that to her tiredness.
This cuddling felt natural, something that happened after a particularly harrowing adventure. He wrapped his arms around her, gentle but fiercely protective. She shifted restlessly, and he brushed her hair off her face. "Rose? Are you okay?"
"Just needed to hear your hearts," she mumbled back. "To make sure you were still here."
She nodded into him.
He squeezed her tighter. "I'll always be okay as long as I have you."

The Doctor didn't look up from his book. He was sitting crossed legged on the sofa and clutching a mug of tea. "Yeah, sorry I used the last one, thought I'd get some more in the morning. I thought you'd gone to bed early anyway." He looked up at her, brow furrowing with concern; she was visibly drained and looked utterly miserable. She was wearing pink pyjamas and a hoodie that was far too big for her, one of his that he knew was her favourite so always wore to concerts when she refused to let him wear his suit. She'd wrapped her vibrant pink duvet around herself in a way which only made him more aware that she was really suffering. "Are you alright?" He stood up, book falling on the floor as he pulled her into a hug, the warm mug of tea held carefully out the way. She shook her head and leant into him, pressing her cheek against his chest as he rubbed her back. "How long have you been feeling like this?" He suddenly
I won't let goIt had fallen through the mail slot with only her name written on it. Curious, she picked it up and opened the envelope. Inside was a handwritten letter. "Dear Rose " it began.I won't let go4 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
You're not going to want to believe this, but I promise every word of it is true. Do you remember that day in the shop? Everything seemed like a normal day. But then you met him. You met a man who grabbed your hand and told you to run. And you never let go of that hand. He left you, though, standing alone at Dårlig Ulv Stranden on the worst day of your life. And you never saw him again.
I know you're reading this, wondering why anyone would want to remind you of that day, but I promise it's for a good reason. I'm different now. I regenerated and I'm travelling with new people. But I never forgot you, Rose. I think about the adventures we had every day. Oh those times, Rose, I hope they've never left you either.
I know this letter isn't much. I know I broke your heart. I know yo
ForgivenessIt was all his fault. He did not care what anybody would say. Guilt was slowly, painfully, tearing him apart from the inside as he watched the pale, still figure on the bed. It was useless, a small voice in his head said, but he refused to believe it. Sure, she had been mortally wounded and her heart was about to stop beating, but he would save her! He had to!Forgiveness4 years ago in Drama More Like This
But then, it happened. Her single human heart stopped beating and a shrill tone filled the TARDIS infirmary. For a moment he stood there, completely petrified, but then he was there, by her side, desperately trying to make it start beating again. Asking, begging for it. Please, little heart, wake up! Tears started to well up in his eyes, but he blinked them away. C'mon Rose! C'mon you daft little ape! Breathe! Live! PLEASE!
Memories filled his head. How they had first met. All of their travels. The Bad Wolf. The kiss (How could he ever forget?). His regeneration. The Sycorax invasion. New Earth. Queen Victoria.

Never Give up on HerRose pockets her piece of the Dimension Cannon as the street comes into focus around her. It looks just like an ordinary street, nothing special here, no sign of anything unusual that would attract her Doctor. She sighs, turning back and reaching into her pocket when she hears the familiar sound of the TARDIS' engines. She stops and spins on her heels, blinking in disbelief at the flash of blue as it begins to materialise. This is it; years of fighting and she's finally got back to him.Never Give up on Her3 years ago in Romance More Like This
Except she's too early. Or at least she's not in the right place; the Doctor that opens the door has blue eyes, big ears and wears that dark leather jacket that she knows so well. She slips into a nearby alley way, peeking around the corner as she watches him at the end of the road. He steps out of the TARDIS, never looking up from the floor. "Of course Rose wouldn't come." He scuffs his heels on the floor, kicking the curb. "I can't believe I ever expected her to." With a sigh he leans his forehead aga

this perfect copy of myself.
I stood there, weeping in my soul
and yet rejoicing for your bliss.
I pray you did not hear the mighty cry
that filled me to the core,
that, with a thousand voices, told you: "Rose,
no man loves you more than I!"
O, how I wish I could have spoken true -
how much I need you by my side.
'The lonely angel' someone once me called,
and yet, the angel is not me, it's you.
In all my life, I never truly lived
until the day that I met you.
You took these hardened hearts of mine
and taught them how to laugh, to love, forgive.
Of all these thoughts I could not speak a word,
it would have made you choose not him - but me.
Though all the stars will sing my love
my mortal ears, it never shall be heard.
You always knew there can be no "Forever"
for us, timelord and an earthen child.
We both know you belong with him
not bound be my life's endless tether.
You have so much to do, to see
that I can never give.
I want for you the best of lives,
Giving in to TemptationThe Doctor looked down at the small diary sitting on the table. It was TARDIS blue and had golden designs of the TARDIS covered in rose vines. A small lock clipped the sides together. It was a simple lock the kind you could break into without the need of the sonic-screwdriver or even the key. No! He couldn't do that. It was a complete invasion of privacy. He couldn't do that to Rose. He couldn't just look into her inner most thoughts
'But you've thought of it, ' a voice said in the back of his mind. 'Thought of it so many times. Every time you see the diary sitting there. Every time you see her lying there asleep. You just stand there, watching her. Seeing her chest rise and fall with every soft breath. Her rich full lips slightly parted. You see her murmur in her sleep and you beg to see the word 'Doctor' form on her lips.
And then you wonder if she really is thinking about you. You want to know. You want

She was wearing that blue leather jacket, he'd seen this before. It didn't take a genius to realise this was when she'd been testing the dimension cannon. From afar, he watched her approach the TARDIS, touch it, and register it was slightly different. She frowned, knowing she was in the wrong time. He came up behind her softly.
She turned around. "You've changed."
"Do you like it?"
Rose grinned and threw her arms around him. He picked her up and spun her. "The bow tie, especially," she said into his ear.
"Fancy a look inside?" he asked, putting her down but not releasing her from his grasp.
She put a hand on his chest. "I can't. I've got to go."
He held onto it. "I know. You'll find me, don't worry. The universe is still here. The cannon will get you where you need to be. Don't give up."
She pressed a kiss to his lips.
