Inigo's LoveWould she have him? It had been almost ten years. Would she?
Inigo was near the house of the Count of Cardinale.
Would she have him? That was the question that kept ringing in the back of his mind.
"I cannot marry you.." Those accursed words. How could he have said that to her. Westley had suggested piracy, but he knew what he had to do now. He needed her. He needed her more now than he ever remembered needing her.
"Giulietta, sire." It still sent chills down his thin frame. Her name. Her wondrous name.
He remembered the ball. How she had turned down nobles from all over the land, and chose him. Him. A poor Spanish boy with a sword and a nightmare. He remembered being happy. Happiness that he wasn't sure he'd even feel again.
He arrived at the house of Piccoli.
Piccoli looked up. "The wizard returns," he said.
"I accomplished my task. I could not have done it without you. Thank you." He left the house.
He entered the castle and asked to see the Count.
"The Count will see you for five m

So, picture this, it's a cozy July night at Nickelodeon Studios. Sokka's eating bacon, Toph's cleaning her toes, Suki and Katara are watching some Nickelodeon show about some teenagers going to some high school in Hollywood, Zuko was trying (and failing) to keep Aang under control, Haru and Teo were working on some kit Teo got for his birthday, Ty Lee was trying hard not to stare at Sokka (doing said task would get herself a glare from Suki) and Mai was in her emo corner, being emo.
Just then a commercial for "Avatar: the Legend of Korra" came on. It piqued the Gaang's interest. After it was over, they were left open mouthed and outraged.
Sokka: They're REPLACING US?! Those b-

Suki shrank back. She pulled out her iPhone and opened the LoK Avatar Wiki page. She read it aloud to the Gaang.

The tuba can just ask you to hold their instrument.

"Where do you keep the tea bags?" Korra asked the older Firebender, pulling open a cupboard of the small attic kitchen, looking for the items in question.
"Next one over," he instructed her, watching the kettle closely. Korra opened the cupboard next to the one she had been previously searching and saw a few bags sitting in a glass jar, and reached inside for one. Inspecting it, she decided she'd like it well enough before shutting the cupboard door and placing said bag on the counter. Walking over to Mako, she bumped hips with him and gave him a smirk when he looked at her.
She stood beside him, and he knocked against her side, too. Korra smiled at him again, and then the kettle began to scream, signalling that it was ready to be removed. Mako took the contraption off the burner and poured the steaming water into a teapot beside him, and Korra grabbed the tea bag and placed it inside it before they relocated to the small table in the center of the ro

The Avatar didn't turn from her spot on the dock to look at the Firebender, instead hugging her arms around her tighter. Closing her eyes, she whispered, "Go away, Mako."
Mako stepped forward, signalling that he wasn't going to leave her out there alone. Placing a hand on her shoulder, he repeated himself, "What's wrong? What happened back there?"
Korra bit her lip. Just a few minutes before, she and Mako and Bolin had been sitting up in their attic apartment, going over and finalizing their plans for attack against Amon. They had been planning this ambush for weeks now, and they finally had everything little thing sorted out. It was foolproof nothing could go wrong. They were going to take Amon down, once and for all. But just as they were talking about the final battle with Amon himself, Korra had randomly up and left the brothers, confusing them and prompting Mako to go and confront her.
Biting her lip, Korra shook her head. She whispered something inau

Bolin hummed to himself, holding the laundry basket full of clothes. Mako was upstairs reading the newspaper and talking with Korra, and his brother had agreed to do the laundry that week, give his brother a break from it, and so there he was, making his way to the laundry room of the Pro-bending arena.
He went down multiple flights of stairs to get to the thing, which was inconveniently located in the basement. It was a large room filled with a plethora of washers and dryers so that when uniforms needed to be washed, it could be one big, mass cleaning. Toza had allowed the boys access to the room if they didn't make a mess there as Bolin opened the door to the room, he looked around and snorted. He couldn't make a mess of it if he tried it was already a hurricane of cluttered clothes and boxes.
Walking over to the nearest washer, Bolin placed the basket down and started to pick through the laundry. The majority of the clothes on top were his,

"This is it." Korra whispered to herself as she nervously walked up the stairs to Bolin and Mako's place. "There's no turning back. I will let him know how I feel again."
Korra was going to do it. She was going to tell Mako, the handsome and most skilled firebender she's ever known, about how she felt again.
During the uprisings of the Equalists, Korra was planning to leave for battle without Bolin and Mako from ever finding out. Only the plan failed, for Mako tracked her down and found her dressed in her parka about to hop on Naga. She turned to see a very angry Mako who was breathing heavily from the run. Korra didn't understand what on earth his purpose was for being here.
"Mako " She whispered as her wide sapphire blue eyes widened. "What are you-"
"I should be asking you that," Mako started as he regained his breath. "Korra I saw the note you left."
He took out a scrap piece of paper, uncrumble it and read aloud.
FearKorra sat meditating in the front of her temporary home, trying her hardest to ease the stress out of her mind. It seemed nearly impossible. Amon's solid mask and deep, intimidating voice was replaying over and over in her head. She closed her eyelids even tighter, ignoring the sweat that dripped down the side of her face. Breathe, just breathe, she reminded herself constantly, parting her lips and inhaling large amounts of cool oxygen into her lungs. For a moment she was at peace, staring into complete darkness, feeling her body go weightless and relaxed. Her head wasn't pounding anymore and her heart was no longer beating in her ears. They were both rather calm and forgetful. Her head tilted back the slightest bit, allowing the sun's warming rays to tickle her cheeks with warmth, allowing the very edges of her walls to begin to break down. Then footsteps. Fast, light footsteps. Sneaky ones. Stealthy ones. She tried to ignore them but they kept coming. They were getting closer.Fear3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

Early Morning Pranks
Korra flew down the corridors of the Pro-Bending arena frantically, but it was no use she was already late. Arriving at the large, open gym doorway, she stopped abruptly and almost ran into the wood panelling.
She immediately smiled at the friendly voice that greeted her. Bolin the kind Earthbender that was always a great, invaluable friend to the Avatar. And the only thing that made those early morning practice bearable besides teasing the irritable Firebender along with his own younger brother. That also helped.
"Hey!" she looked up at him, regaining her breath and walking over to him, hiking her bag higher up on her shoulder. "Running a little late again... sorry."
"What else is new?" she heard the snarky, grumpy voice of Mako a few feet to her right and her face immediately fell at this quip.
"Nice to see you, too, Mister Hat Trick," she countered, dropping her bag beside Bolin. "Still grumpy, the usual, like me being

"So, I hear you're a pretty good bender..."
"I do what I can."
"Would you care to show me?"
Korra glared over at the non-bender and Firebender who were exchanging the words, before Earthbending a few disks into a nearby net furiously. She heard Asami giggle at Mako, which was followed by his deeper chuckle. She growled lowly to herself before bending the disks again. She hated how easily the little rich girl could get along with the moody Firebender they had the same brooding attitudes, and so conversations were simple and often between them. The Avatar also abhorred the fact that since Hiroshi Sato had begun sponsoring the Fire Ferrets, that Asami felt the need to hang around and 'monitor' their practices. It usually led to distraction on both the boys' parts Mako would end up just talking with her the entire time, which was very unlike him, while Bolin gazed at her, a crush evident in his eyes.

Korra raced around the rink, twirling and spinning around like the talented ice skater she was. Around her, people of every age and size skated in the spacious rink of Republic City Park. Snow surrounded them all, cold nipping at their cheeks, but no one paid it any mind they were all having too much fun, enraptured in their friends and families.
The Avatar was glad to be back in her natural element though the winters in Republic City were nowhere near as harsh at the ones in the South Pole, they were still pretty cold. And she loved it! Skating up to her Earthbending friend, she did a circle around the leisurely skating Bolin.
"Hey," she said, skating in tow with him then. "Don't you just love skating?"
"Definitely," he nodded at her, "we should do this more often I forgot how much fun it is, considering this is the first time I've gone in years. I'm surprised I still remember how, actually."

"Do you really have to ask? He's with Miss Sato." He pronounced Sato like he had a funny taste in his mouth.
"This is his second time missing practice!" He tossed his towel down angrily.
Of course, Korra wasn't surprised by this at all. It seemed that every time Asami crooked her finger, Mako came running like a little puppy.
"That's okay, we can still practice, though!" The happy expression had returned to Bolin's face. "You know, we need to work on your defensive skills. You're like a sitting turtleduck out there!"

Zuko shook his head to remove the innuendo from his mind. "What are you talking about?"

Zuko doubted her very much. "I fail to see how-" he started to say, but he pressed the button and the phaser made its noise. He had to admit, that was pretty cool. He aimed the phone at his girlfriend and pressed his thumb. Katara pretended to faint. She giggled at his expression.

Korra bent some water into her hands from the vents underneath her and shot it fiercely towards the Pro-Bending competitor in front of her, sending them into the last Zone of the arena. Mako was on her right, sending a ferocious, unrelenting barrage of Firebending attacks at his own foe. Bolin was to her left, blasting earth disks at the competitor she was also trying to knock off. This was the final round of their championship match, and they had already knocked off the other team's Waterbender, and the other members of the team were quickly tiring out. There were only two more members to knock off the platform and the Fire Ferrets would win the championship!
This thought made Korra smile to herself as she collected some more water and continued to shoot it at the panicking team member. He was trying desperately to stay on the platform, to avoid falling into the water below him. It was futile, though her and Bolin's synced attacks were too much for him to handle at
