"That's pretty good, Cody!" Mai strolls down to the water's edge while running her fingers through her long red hair. She dips a toe into a receding wave. "Ah! That's cold!"
Her little brother laughs. "You'll get used to it, Sis."
"Whatever, " says Mai with a smirk as she tosses her hoodie aside and jumps into the water. She swims further out to the deeper blue before breaking the surface for a breath.
"No fair, Sis!" Cody splashes some water at her. "You know I can't go that far! Besides, you're supposed to be my swimming buddy! It doesn't really help if you're all the way out there if I start drowning or something."
