Lots of artists on dA do Points Commissions, also known as PCs, which involve creating art or design for other people on request in return for Points. Here are just a few of them...
If you're looking for a specific type of commission, simply use Ctrl+F, type in what you want (literature, drawing, polymer clay, digital, animation, colouring, icons, logos, design, tutorials, stamps, emotes, vector, 3D, pixel dolls, photography, photomanipulation, space art, terragen, digital art, journal skins, journal scripts, wallpapers, comics, fractals, journal css, gallery css, cosmetic application, craft) and your browser will do the hard work for you!

Religion is a Mental Disorder? And atheists wonder why they're the most distrusted group in America? It's crap like this, atheists!Religion is a Mental Disorder?2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Recently, a YouTube atheist called Livelife8072 started a video series in which he explains how religion is a mental disorder. What's even more face-palmingly painful is that he openly admits at the beginning of his video that he's not a medical professional and that he's merely expressing his opinion--and yet he still expects us to take his "analysis" seriously!
And what does his non-expert medical "analysis" consist of? Well, other than providing anecdotal evidence, and starting every other line of dialogue with "I think" or "I believe", he compares people dancing and singing in church to mental patients in a insane asylum.
Clearly this man is en route to obtaining a Nobel Peace Prize!

Awesome Space Whale!Awesome Space Whale!4 months ago in Personal More Like This
Check that out!
That's a screenshot from this kickass little Sci-Fi short called The Leviathan, it's made by Ruairí Robinson and you can find it here, [link], and it looks awesome!
As far as I can gather it's about humans hunting giant space whales, possibly in the atmosphere of a gas giant, which would make it even cooler
This has to be turned into a movie. Seriously if we're getting another 4 Adam Sandler movies this year, can we please just get this one movie about a huge alien space whale? please? pretty please!?

And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air. . . .
Up, up the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or ever eagle flew
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Elitism, bullying, and lack of humanity in cosplayThe talented Yuuri-C wrote up a journal earlier on about her thoughts and feelings in regards to the nastiness she's received as a cosplayer. It influenced me to dwell deeper from both a personal and a third-person's perspective, to bring awareness to this ugly dilemma. It's quite ironic, actually- we cosplay to escape a dull and shallow world and yet it somehow seems to seep it's way back in.Elitism, bullying, and lack of humanity in cosplay2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I myself have been a victim of bullying for a very long time. First through school, and now through minor cosplay groups with a peculiar vendetta. It got to me at first, because I found out it was those close to me that were the perpetrators, but these days I see it as a laugh. I'm actually happy people go on 4-Chan and bitch about how much of a "slut" I am or how "fat" I am or pathetic my costumes are. It's all talk. They'd never say it to my face, and if they're so bored and insecure about themselves that they have to target me, then cheerio to that!

The recently announced changes to the core mythos of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the backlash from fans over the ending to Mass Effect 3 have ignited an incredible discussion about the rapidly evolving “collaborative” relationship between producers and consumers of videogames, movies, and similar “products.” Now it’s exploded beyond the secure borders of top news publications, gamin

A magic of effective art can be a drawing that appears to be a movie still, clipped from a film narrative, evoking a powerful sense of storytelling— and the viewer wants to know the rest of the story. This phenomenon has recently manifested itself on deviantART— and in a big way— once again.

his life is not easy; a winding, sometimes whimsical, sometimes tragic journey that ultimately finds terminus in the same common destination for each of us. No matter the brave, fierce constructs we build and serve that would have us believe we are each one of us all alone as we make this journey, we make our way toward the end of all things side-by-side in our community of the living each day defying death. Our paths may be wildly divergent—the way of the hungry and impoverished traveling the same timeline with the grotesquely indulgent, the very best of us side-by-side with the most evil of us; but all headed for the same fate: dust. Why no riots?Couple black kids beat a WWII vet to death and where are the riots? Well it's simple. The racists who were interested in hanging Zimmerman don't care if a white man, who risked life and limb to preserve freedom is murdered. Without racists involved, there are no riots because sensible people don't riot over a crime that is perceived as racially motivated. We know that the news media and every single person who took to the streets seeking an unjust sentence for Zimmerman is a full fledged unapologetic racist - every .... single ..... one of you. We know this because you aren't interested in the slightest in this case. Anyone with half a brain and the time to listen to the expert testimony in the Zimmerman case knows that it was a cut and dry, no contest justifiable homicide. The controversy was a complete fabrication designed to perpetuate guilt in Americans who happen to be Caucasian (hell they don't even have to be Caucasian anymore). It's no different from the "green movement" whereWhy no riots?2 years ago in Personal More Like This

How to draw during 365 daysHow to draw during 365 days7 months ago in Deviant Events More Like This
By the beginning of 2014 I started this account and uploaded a doodle a day during a year. It was the most challenging thing I ever did and it helped me loads on improving my art.
I've seen a lot of mentions on my inbox about artists that are starting their own 365 Days challenge and I want to write this journal to share what I've learned through my experience and maybe encourage some of you to join this long term journey.
It's okay to start simple!
My first doodles were waaay more simple than the other ones. If I had to start the project again I would still do them simple. Of course, starting this challenge is very exciting but it's a dead end if you put a heavy load on yourself at the beginning!
Focus on knowing your pace first. How much time does it take you to finish your drawings?
Using HTML on deviantARTUsing HTML on deviantART4 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
Hello and welcome to my little html tutorial. I've been working with html codes for a couple of years and I'm going to teach you what I know about using some basic html on deviantART. This won't make you a html expert or something and I'm not an expert myself but it will give just enough knowledge to make your journals, comments, news articles and other neat and lovely looking.
deviantART actually has FAQs about html but I still wanted to do this because they look a bit unorganized, in my opinion. Also, why would you want to look for those FAQs when you can just open this news article where you have everything in one place?
You may already know some of these, but I hope you'll find at least something helpful in this news article.

Ur-Quan Masters HD just days away...I've talked it over with the main programmer, and we think we can get Ur-Quan Masters HD released by the Dec 31st 2012.Ur-Quan Masters HD just days away...3 years ago in Personal More Like This
That's 27 days away.
For those that don't know, Ur-Quan Masters HD is a high definition version of Star Control 2. Can't call it Star Control 2 because lawyers suck.
It won't be just a demo, but the full game.
Not going to have the 640x480 graphics just yet. So mobile users will have to wait until version 2. So, consider this an alpha as we sort out the bugs
Also, for those wanting to help on this, Project 6014, or work with me on future projects... contact me via email. I don't log in here as often as I should.

I've Been Tagged, Again!Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!I've Been Tagged, Again!5 months ago in Personal More Like This
I got tagged by :iconsapphiregothiclolita: in this journal entry! TAGGED AGAIN
Let's do this.
1. What does your Deviantart name mean and why?
Well, I know people IRL who used to be on the lego.com messageboards a long time ago, and basically, when they stopped using their EandPi233 account, I just took that username.
2. What fandom were you obsessed with when you joined and what are you into now?
Hm, I obsessed over many fandoms like BIONICLE, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Persona, SMT, Devil May Cry (The original AND the reboot), Avatar (The Last Airbender AND The Legend of Korra), Marvel, DC, Claymore, Trinity Blood... the list goes on forever!
3. How many watchers do you have now?
28 or 29. I don't know if :iconfirestormthedragolf: is watching me or not.
4. Name 3 of your favorite artists on DA, as well as y

1. You must post these rules (very, VERY Important )
2. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create ten new questions for the people you tag to answer.
3. You have to choose 10 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
4. Go to their pages and tell them you have tagged her/him.
5. No tag backs
6. No crap in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you're reading this." You legitimately (AKA, really, truly with all honesty) have to tag 10 people
Questions from Bloodwolf
1. Are you single?
yes, i plan on it for a long time
2. Are you happy with how you're life is going?
kind of, kind of not
3. Is there someone you wish you had as more than a friend?
4. What's your strongest talent?
i has no talentz
5. What's your favorite video game?
6. Ever played Halo?
7. Ever wanted to shoot yourself (Not literally but like in cartoons. The equivalent to the face palm.)
OR for Poser plug-in updated to version 2.21Swiftly - just after yesterdays update of OR standalone - the updated Poser plug-in follows.OR for Poser plug-in updated to version 2.216 months ago in Personal More Like This
This update is particularly interesting for folks out there that have GPUs with small amounts of VRAM, since you can now store maps of all kinds in the RAM of your PC rather than in the VRAM, essentially disabling texture limits.
Remember though, that this will not lift restrictions on geometry size limits.
Also the ability of copying materials to clipboard and interchanging them through the various plug-ins will vastly improve development speed of our shaders.
The reported features from 2.21 standalone like F-Stop, Sensor Size and Focal Length are in there as well - find them in the "Camera" tab.
Moving on with the changelog:
- Compiled with Octane 2.21 (see Octane Standalone thread for details).
- Added Light Passes (you can now assign a Light Pass to each Emitter, and then view each light pass as a Render Pass). See http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Poser/?page_id=369 for details.
Sketchbook Pro 6So most of you know that I'm a Sketchbook Pro user.Sketchbook Pro 63 years ago in Personal More Like This
A few days back, Autodesk released Sketchbook Pro 6, and I think this is the version that's going to make a lot of people who have YET to experience Sketchbook Pro in full, or haven't really given the past versions a chance, switch over to making it their digital drawing software of choice; heck, even their PAINTING software of choice.
We still have the cleverly-designed user interface, that makes it easy on the eyes and mind when we're brainstorming and sketching. With the handful of new tools introduced, we still have a clutter-free drawing environment, and man, there's some awesome tools this time around. I'll go down the list:
The Brush Library
The main brush toolbar itself has a click-and-drag function, allowing you to store all your often-used brushes in each of the "lanes". You then can click the button on the upper-right and then a fu
