I've been looking at a lot of minimal drawings for a while and I really love some of them. I especially love *IleanaHunter style. So I decided to have a go at something along these lines too, with her permission of course

So this is my version of a minimal style drawing. I love this reference picture, but have no idea where it came from :( But I can say it is not mine, I just drew it :)
UPDATE: I found the ref - www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=318+…

Materials this time:
A4 Mellotex, the drawing is about 8"x9"
Graphite pencils - 2H, 2B, 4B, 6B
Erasers
Tortillion
Time - About 8 hours or so

Print available in my shop - www.etsy.com/shop/BrighteyesAr…

Thank you very much for looking

I also used this reference before for a painting

September #Draw-Along is finally finished :w00t: I made it just in time :)

So this image for the main part of my drawing is the poster for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and I've added a mirror frame and noose. If you've seen the movie you'll know why :) The reference can be found on the front page of the #Draw-Along group.

Materials this time:
Graphite pencils 2H, 2B and 4B both wooden and mech
Blue tac and Eraser
Tissue
Tortillion
A3 Canson Bristol Board (most horrible paper ever!!!)
Time: About 22-23 hours, something around there

Thank you for having a look

This is a drawing of the very beautiful Kelly Eden :iconkellyeden: Her picture has been the reference for the first months project of our new group :icondraw-along:
Reference -

I decided not to draw the whole image and just took a part of it to focus on, but the My Little Ponies on her corset were too cute to leave out, so there they are :giggle:

Materials:
A4 Mellotex
Graphite (H, HB, B, 4B and 8B)
Pink Faber Watercolour pencil unwatered
Eraser
Soft brush
Time: I think around 20-22 hours

The whole thing seems to have a bit of a pink tint to it, i dont know why, I think its the work of my scanner

Thank you for looking

There are some WIPs here if anyone likes these things -

EDIT: I got some advice from someone who thought the pink coloured parts could do with a bit of brightening. I've played around a little bit again as its a wee bit brighter in real life. So, the pink now looks like it does on paper but the tint over everything, i dont know why its there and dont know how to get rid of it :(

I love this reference and it was calling on me to draw it right away :) I don't actually know where it came from, it was a random google search, it's not my photo though

EDIT - I found the link finally! www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=Adam…

Materials this time:
Extra Smooth Bristol (The drawing measures about 8"x8")
Graphite - 2H, HB, 2B, 4B and 6B
Erasers
Blue Tac
Tissue
White Gel Pen
Time - About 10-11 hours

Print available in my shop - www.etsy.com/shop/BrighteyesAr…

Thank you for having a look

I have some WIPs if anyone likes these things

NOTE: I know some of you lovely dA friends get a bit miffed about the Black&White Club rejecting art, so I thought I'd share the reason this one was declined :) The highlight on her nose is too white ('tis the paper and my scanner, it's just like that, I didn't do a thing) the highlights that look like glitter are distracting (um, they were put there on purpose) and the eyes are unapportioned (that's great to know, I though they looked about right). So there you have it :P Another one bites the dust :crying:

This is my drawing for a little mini draw-along with ~AlexMahone

I'm hoping this drawing is recognisable as *DoraLovey Dora is just the most naturally beautiful looking girl and was a joy to draw. I'm also really pleased because *fhrankee has given me permission to draw from his gallery so I have many more planned
I'm sure most of you have come across both Dora and Dimitri, but if not, both are so talented and I don't doubt you'd enjoy a visit to their galleries.

Materials this time:
A4 extra smooth bristol board (the drawing measures 10"x7" and Dora's face is about 3 1/2")
Wooden cased pencils 2H, HB, 2B and 4B
Mechanical Pencil 2B (used for all of the roses in the frame)
Erasers
Time: 10-12 hours maybe, I'm not sure :P

The roses for the frame may look more like pinecones  I'm okay with pinecones I think

Thank you for taking a look

There is a WIP in my scraps too - [link]

I recently watched Dorian Gray and Ben is just soooo handsome and charismatic .... I had to draw him, this one and I have another lined up too :)

I've been drawing this for ages, little bits here and little bits there, I think I lost the plot for a while.

Also, this started out as graphite, but is now a big mixture of graphite, carbon and pastel :$

Materials:
Graphite Pencils - Wooden and Mechanical (HB to 8B, the 8B is now dead)
Carbon Pencil 6B, also dead
White Pastel
Erasers (I found an eraser that gets rid of 8B pencil!!!!!!! Awesome)
Hahnenuhle Nostalgie A4 paper (that is why the image is kinda grainey, my scanner is not friends with it yet, or maybe its the operator :D )
Time: Not sure about 6-7 hours or so
