I too have hopped onto the "OMG I luff so much my SS preorder figurine that I'm so gonna draw it" bandwagon.

And I must say that I had lotsa fun drawing it! :D Still experimenting with SAI. I'm pretty sure that "I'm doin' it wrong" (colouring, I mean), but I'm having fun nonetheless, so it doesn't matter! ;P

On a different note, SSilver is awesome! I'm totally enjoying it, even if I can only play for small periods of time!

Anyhoo, comments (on both the picture and the Poke game) are welcome!

I normally don't shade like this. It takes me a lot of encouragement to draw a background too.

My hill is awesome. And so is my light.

A requested drawing for :icontylorthehedgehog:

Tried out some things with shading and had fun with the background.

I'm not really satisfied with where the yoshi went. I tried to make the setting look darker, but the yellow brightened everything up.

This has given me a bit more practice using yellow, which should help when I start working on a larger project for starr.

This experimentation should also help when I continue working on Dama's piece.

Dinosaur Land… my favorite of all the Mario realms of olde!

Something about the size of this place, the bright colors, the cartoony music and the strange new elements impressed me like no other game quite has since.

One thing that always fascinated me… what was at the top of that waterfall coming down the mountain?

It took me years and years to find every goal in this game, and ‘till the very end I hoped a secret path would lead to the top. Of course, one never did… but that was the beauty of this game. It could keep you guessing. And that meant a real, literal sense of exploration, not unlike that experienced in Super Mario 64 six years later.

Well, that turned into more of a reminiscer than I intended, but so be it— SMW was a good game! This kinda started out as a sketch of Yoshi, and the background just sprang up behind ‘im as I got into the theme. I actually had to do a lot of experimentation to get the background colored and shaded in a way that appealed to me. Lemme know how you think it turned out!

EDIT 9/22: Tweaked the colors a bit-- hopefully it'll look a bit brighter!

I tried to do a transparent background...hope it works...

Remember when I had that journal asking who everybody's favorite Mario characters were? It ended up being Luigi, Yoshi, and Bowser....I then said I'd draw a picture. Well, I forgot about it until this morning, so here it is!

:iconimhappyplz:

All characters belong to Nintendo and not to me.

Erm, not too much to say about this. Um... it's a blue Yoshi?

I kind of wanted a new avatar so I sat down and made this thing yesterday night.

This was a lot of fun and really easy to do. I saw some DDs like this and I thought I'd try to make something like them myself.

This piece was commissioned, but the client's looks a bit different, and better... this was sort of an oopsy, but it was too cool to replace! So, here he is... Yoshi dolin' out headshots to defend the base from the nuke cart! Enjoy!

One of my daily drawings from April. I was eating angel food cake and thinking about Yoshi for some reason, and then I put the two together. I was going for a more old-school look with Yoshi here.
