Guess who just got a new tablet and decided to try out all the spangly brushes, tricks and effects in Painter?!
I've been wanting to do a bit of non-work art lately just for my own purposes, even if it is just a bit of fanart. Yoshi's Island is my favourite SNES game ever and possibly one of my favourite games of all time, so it was due for a bit of artwork. Plus, a lot of the more recent original work I'd been doing for the office assignments had been so gloomy and blood-filled, I felt a nice change of mood to something more cheery would remedy things somewhat.
Yep, it's been a while since I added anything to the DeviantART gallery! I have to say some of the previous work I have up is downright appalling, so I'm preparing to go through and purge the worst of it over due time. Fingers crossed it'll be updated and replaced with newer, much better stuff in the future!
actually i want to upload the building process of the hands but it's no need for, because the half year of editing was really worth and the hands are easy enough that i think you can do it with out a step by step explanation
during the bulding i always look if i can change something ore can make it better/easier and i found a way so that i can say that the model has now a difficult level of 7 instead of 8
but i still have to say a bit about them because there is a sort of order you have to follow that you can build them right and easy
well, it doesn't make any sense yet, but when you download the sheets when i'm done you will understand
-build point and middle finger separated and combine them after finishing -add the pieces of the pinky -then add the pieces of the thumb
-build thumb, point, middle finger and pinky separated and combine them with each other if you're done
the connectors (the long pieces)
i prefere to assemble them first on the outside and build to the inside the hands will change the shapes a few times, specially the fist because the fingers overlapping a bit
a few of you may try to build the hands with round shapes i can't say if that is working there are a lot of hard edges and it could be difficult
I kinda cooked this one up quick for St. Paddy's day...for all of you out there who partake in the consumption of green booze...and Yoshi, being green, is the perfect candidate for this occasion...not so much the beer part...^^
