My second entry for the Rift: Create a Colossus Contest.
This one was a real pain in the ass, made over 40 backup files and it took me about 10 hours to make.

Made in Photoshop CS5
Used a Wacom Intuos4 Large tablet.
Made possible by; Coffee. (a lot of it)
_______________________________

The concept:

It is of course the Colossus of Life, this should be clear.
The most important aspect of the design is the embryo inside the womb, this represents the very core of all life. Everything on earth, every plant, flower and tree originates from the embryo. Veins and branches run from the embryo into the ground as the roots of all life. The embryo is very delicate and fragile and must be protected, when no danger is present the embryo is out in the open and visible but as soon as danger comes, in the form of people or any other entity, mother instinct kicks in and it closus up. It will hide under a thick coat of trees, foliage and branches. The colossus will do everything in it's power to prevent the outsiders from doing harm to the embryo. Naturally, the embryo is the Achilles heel of the colossus.
The entire colossus is connected to the earth, it's rooted in the ground so it is unable to move to a different position. Also, it's arms are mostly rooted to the ground.
It's main defence are the huge bugs who live besides the colossus.
______________________________

Maybe if I find the time, I will change it up a bit to fully present my concept the best way possible.

Hope you like it! (and hope I win something :la:)

Feedback is always Ok-Good!

Water Colossus.
This creature has hard, as rock, shell and covered with crystals. It can live in deep waters, but usually travels along the shore making people abandon their villages in fear...
Done in PS3, around 10-15 hours

After hours and hours of work, finally, it's finished !

My entry for the RIFT colossus contest :

Ybicus, the colossus of life

Google traduction (with remix) :

Roots and brambles come directly from the plane of life emerging from the sky to form a gigantic creature.
His mouth filled with small sharp teeth may well creepers and brambles deadly scourge enemies until death ensues. Warriors too curious to be received by the claws that sweep. The thoracic cage of the creature escapes swarms of demonic fairies lend to lacerate the face of the boldest. No gesture, no movement can not escape his gaze. Eyes through the body of the colossus obscure any blind spot.

EDIT: I was told to enter the "Face your Monster" contest and decided to give it a shot ^^

I know this is a really strange piece compared to what I usually upload there...
But I was thinking about my Sally cosplay again because of the incoming Disney Halloween and, well I came out with this mixed-media fanart based on my own Halloween Sally cosplay photo (check thumb below) O_O

I used both photomanipulation and painting within photoshop CS5, thanks to my Wacom tablet, I had a lot of fun with this anyway XD

Here is a link to my original pic :

Back to the old days, 2009, when I submitted one of my first pictures:

Back then I just had made up Galvin, though he was just a nameless little wizard at first, and what better than my favorite OC to show the progress I've done over the past three years?

Haha when I started in here I had no clue about clothing, so more than a redraw, this is a huge redesign, but I read carefully the rules of the challenge and I didn't find any problem with that.

Here's the full pic of the new version:

Click 'I'D WEAR THIS' if you like it and don't forget to :+fav: if you want to wear it!

EDIT - Slightly less white, and did a version without fella, thinking it could be holographic, or just would look better without it.

My entry to the 8-bit hoodie contest.

I was suddenly inspired by this concept of having essentially a Gameboy on your top, mainly because the template was a white hoodie, and I thought the Gameboy best represents classic, pixellated gaming. Sure, maybe not 8-bit, but retro gaming which is the spirit of the contest.

So, I would wear the hell out of this. I hope you feel the same and click the 'i'd wear this' button near the 'fave' button so I can win some money.

Thanks. :)
