The fairies are on their way. The unicorns are hiding in the bushes, too. Seriously, the early evening light was pretty magical :)

This is my first ever creek photo, but it won't be the last. Inspired by the wonderful work of :icongreglief:

Back in August, when I was visiting my parents, we had the great chance to climb the mountain that I usually take pictures of (the "Drachenfels", featured in The Four Seasons and Dismal Morning. It is located next to Bonn, Germany). If you look closely, you can see my parents' house :D
Well, not really; I can barely see it in the full-sized image :p

A bit about the technical side: this is an HDR-panorama shot with a Canon EOS 60D. It is composed of 7 shots, resulting in a full size of 12,364 x 5,520 pixels.

Also, you can download a wallpaper-pack! It contains the following sizes:
:bulletblue: 4:3 -- 1920x1440
:bulletblue: 16:9 -- 1920x1080
:bulletblue: 16:10 -- 1920x1200

I hope you like it! Any :+fav: is greatly appreciated and so are comments, too.

If you download, please be so kind to drop a fav. Just a small click for you but a big motivational boost for me ;)

Also, feel free to watch me! I'd greatly appreciate it! :)

Thank you so much, ^Infinite705! You really made my day... and my week... and my month... and my year :p

As much as I appreciate the fact that this piece gets posted on various wallpaper-sites, I do not appreciate the people that cut out the signature (really, I made it in a fairly non-obstrusive way to avoid people complaining about it), add some crappy filters over it, and/or claim it as their own. If you spread the image, be so fair and leave the original files untouched and, if possible, keep a link to my dA-page. Thank you.

A third of the way is still covered by snow in September :D It's an amazing year. The cloud on the left started off as a jet trail, and over half an hour drifted around 20 km, slowly transforming into a long and much wider cloud.

That is a ranger's hut. In the winter, it's covered with snow completely and you have to dig down to access the second floor. 6 meters (18 feet) of snow is common here. I wonder how much they are paid to spend the summer there :)

Location: Elfin Lakes, Garibaldi Provincial Park, Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + Tokina 11-16mm + Tiffen Polarizer.
Technique: Photomatix Pro 4.0 and Photoshop CS5 from 3 RAW AEB bracketing +1.5, 0, -1.5 exposures.
