"Did you know that 250,000 children die every week from starvation and disease?
Did you know that a 10% reduction in meat intake would leave enough grain to feed these children?
Did you know that meat and dairy production is the second biggest polluter on the planet, only second to cars?
Did you know animals scream and cry while they're shackeld upside down, ready to be prepared for your tastebuds?
Do you know how it feels to be electrocuted and skinned alive?

No-one gives a shit, because thinking is just too hard. Welcome to the zombie nation, where shoes and lipstick are simply more important than starving children. And tastebuds are more important than life. Never mind that we're screwing the planet, as long as I'M fine and my clothes look nice, and I have a full belly. Then everything is fine.

The endless sale of anything and everything is making our generations into selfish, apathetic people. This continuous stream of capitalist ideology is the biggest polluter - of people's minds.

It's astonishing how selfish we have become, in a society where the focus is solely on ourselves and the amount of possessions we can surround ourself with. When the truth is, happiness will never come from any of these things. While people are convinced to want needless objects, they will never be happy.

There is so much more to be concerned about than when the next issue of Heat magazine comes out. Like the fact that people die unncessarily every second - because the actions of EVERY ONE of us affect the entire planet.

So lets all get drunk and watch tv, consume this and that, then consume some more. Oh and don't forget to consume a bit more in the morning, too. No-one will notice because they're all mindless zombies too.

Just to add: The tv sets represent how everyone has adopted the materialistic and shallow values of capitalism - buy, buy buy and don't give a damn about anything else. It demonstrates how the majority of people just don't think anymore - tv does that for them!"

Really Simple.
"1984" quote that sums up my feelings on the recent election.
If you say it enough times, it becomes truth.

"The consciousness of being at war, and therefore in danger, makes the handing-over of all power to a small caste seem the natural, unavoidable condition of survival."

Originally designed for Adbusters (www.adbusters.org) TV Turn Off Week campaign, which has now evolved into Screen Free Week.

The poster was composed in Illustrator, and full dimensions are meant to be about 28"x18". It looks great printed at that size.

From the Commercial-Free Childhood fact-sheet on Children and Screen Time:

CHILDREN SPEND TOO MUCH TIME WITH SCREEN MEDIA.

On any given day, 29% of babies under the age of 1 are watching TV and videos for an

average of about 90 minutes. Twenty-three percent have a television in their bedroom.

Time with screens increases rapidly in the early years. Between their first and second

birthday, on any given day, 64% of babies and toddlers are watching TV and videos,

averaging slightly over 2 hours. Thirty-six percent have a television in their bedroom.

Data vary on the amount of time preschool children spend with screen media, but even the

most conservative findings show that children between the ages of two and five average 2.2

hours per day. Other studies show that preschoolers spend as much as 4.16

and 4.6 hours. per day using screen media.

Screen time can be habit-forming: the more time children engage with screens, the harder

time they have turning them off as they become older children.

Including when they’re multitasking, 8- to 18-year-olds consume an average of 7 hours and

11 minutes of screen media per day—an increase of 2.5 hours in just 10 years.

For older children and adolescents, excessive screen time is linked to increased psychological

difficulties that include hyperactivity, emotional and conduct problems, difficulties with

peers and poor school performance.

Following the success of Keep Britain tidy it was a natural progression to produce this - there is a worldwide problem with Nazism and it needs to stop.

These people are ignorant, hateful, bigoted and totally utterly wrong - at no point should there be division among our whole planet - we are all people, we have just as much value as each other whether we are company directors or beggars on the street.

Make racism history
