Chihiro was watching the clouds. Again.
She really needed to knock it off. It was such a bad habit to just stare out into space in the middle of class. Especially since she had only been at this new school for about 3 months and her grades were not looking so good.
A large white cloud drifted past. It was long and sort of squiggly shaped. It kind of reminded her of a snake, or a dragon In fact, it kind of reminded her of Haku
"Just go back the way you came, you'll be fine. But you have to promise not to look back. Not until you've passed through the tunnel."

Haku's eyes slowly flickered open. When he realized where he was, he sat up quickly.
"Ugh." Haku groaned as a sharp pain went through his chest. He held it tightly until it slowly passed. Wearily he pulled the covers off of him and got out of bed. His bare feet barely hit the floor when Haku collapsed.
"Come on " Haku grabbed the bed and pulled himself up. He regained his balance and walked slowly across the hardwood floor and opened the door with the hand that wasn't holding his chest. As he walked, panting, across the hospital wing, the Nurse Spirits stared at him. His particular nurse came running up to him, "Master, you shouldn't be-"
"I don't care," Haku growled. His nurse backed away, bowed, and walked away.
Haku made it to the door and opened that one as well. He left it open and walked across the hall. The sharp pain hit his chest again a

I smiled quietly as the adventures ran through my head, allowing me to relive them as if it happened yesterday. My parents have forgotten everything about that encounter. The only thing they remembered was coming to a dead end before shortly reaching our new house.
I shifted my gaze from the hair tie to the vast meadow beyond. The grass looks as if it has caught on fire, as the setting sun silhouettes the grass perfectly only lighting up the tips with a bright orange glow. I sometimes wonder what my parents would say if I told them what really happened. What really occurred during the small gap in their memory. But I knew them, they would laugh at first and say it was a tale created from my "over-active imagination" and then brush it off.
I bound my now longer brown hair up with the hair tie and sighed, as the first stars start to appear in the darkening sky. I look up to watch them for a little

You know the saying that when you die, your life flashes before your eyes? Well right there, part of Chihiro's life flashed before her. She could remember everything: From the moment she entered the tunnel with the stone spirit, till the moment she let go of Haku's hand and ran through the grass toward her parents.
She remembered Lin, Boh, Yubaba, Kamaji, Zeniba, and the rest of her friends from the bath house. She remembered Haku; the first person she met in the Spirit World and the last person she saw from the Spirit World. Haku was the boy who saved her, the boy who had once made a promise. That boy.
Haku was the reason she hadn't been able to have a relationship. She had been waiting for him like she promised.

Chihiro Ogino flipped to the next page in her book. She sighed and wiped the sweat from her face. It was the first week of summer vacation and she was spending it inside reading a book.
It had been six years since Chihiro had crossed over to the Spirit World. Six years since she had met Haku, her first love. Six years since she saved the Spirit World. Six long years had passed since she let go of Haku's soft hand and walked back into the human world.
She didn't realize it until she crossed into the human world and couldn't look back; she loved Haku. She loved a Spirit. Even though she was young, her feelings for Haku were there. She didn't know why or how it happened, but it did. She loved the impossible.
She hadn't told anyone about the Spirit World, her friends, or even Haku.

Chihiro looked back at the bath house and sighed, Here I go, she thought. She crossed the bridge where she met Haku for the first time and then headed down the concrete steps. Chihiro made her way around town trying to find a way down to the train stop. She couldn't quite remember how she got there the first time since she was running from No Face.
Chihiro eventually found a pathway leading down to the train tracks. She tripped down the dirt path and finally made it to the bottom. She sat down and took out a pair of new shoes she had gotten from the bathhouse from her bag. She slipped them on and made her way out to the track.
It must not have rained recently because there was no water on the track. She walked until she came upon the first train stop that she saw. She sat on the edge and waited.

"Hey." a voice called to him, causing him to turn around. Walking towards him was a young woman of sixteen with fire-red hair and cloud-gray eyes. Her outfit was in two parts: the top was in a Chinese style and came down to the end of her ribs. The color was red with goldenrod lining, and had a matching skirt. The skirt, which started on her hips and revealed her stomach, was the same in color, but had shorts underneath, and had a slit from her upper thigh to the end on both sides. Her slippers were a lighter red and goldenrod color, but otherwise matched her outfit. Her fire-red hair was in a ponytail, swaying in the wind. Two golden w

It's been six years since my adventure in the Spirit World, six years since I've seen him. When I was able to return to my world with my parents and before I ran to the tunnel where they were waiting for me, Haku did promise me that we will see each other again some day soon.
Having strong faith in him since that day, I've been waiting patiently for Haku to come into the human world and find me. Even at the times I become very impatient and had almost about given up on waiting for him, my memories of him and my strong feelings for Haku make me think twice because he could appear anytime, possibly when I least expect it one of these days.
Looking out my bedroom window, as I thought about Haku, I decide to go out for a walk. Leaving my room once my light was turned off and I closed the door behind me, my mom said from t

I go to him all the time. They tore down the houses and restored the river. Now I visit him. Everyone had forgotten the events of the Spirit Bath House, but I remember, because I still have the hair tie that Boh and the little bird made. I remember the boy who helped me. The boy who saved me. The spirit of the Kohaku River. I knew him as a great friend. A savior. He saved me from Yubaba's evil clutches. He told me to leave and not turn back. He promised we would meet again. I saved him from Yubaba, like he saved me. Now I visit him every chance I get. I only wish to see his face, but for now I will settle for his River. I never forgot him. My heart won't let me.

After being defeated by Chihiro, Yubaba became very ill. Years later, she died and the bathhouse needed a new owner. I had trained under Yubaba,

It had been a year since Chihiro was freed from the world of spirits. She now lived at the country side of her blue home, not far off from the enterence of the old amusement park. She sat beside her sleepig mat on the floor, her brown eyes looking out the window of the clear sky. It was a calm morning. A few white birds flew from the trees as their new pet dog, a medium sized white dog that loved to chase things around, ran into a tree after a squirrel. How long has it been since she left that place? Since she left all her friends there at the bath house. She sighed and played with a rock on the window sil.

She comed her hair and ut it in a ponytail and sat down in the dining room. There was food set on the table as she sat down on her little pillow. The food was a varaity of stuff: pork, vegetables

"Your original home?"
"Yes, but it's more then that." He sighed.
More then that? What could he mean?
I looked to the horizon and saw the bright sun of the spirit world. It was a bright and fearful red. I began to feel uneasy.
"Chihiro?" Haku said as he let go of my hand.
I've spent almost an entire day in the spirit world, there really is no going back at this point.

Of the last time he saw her, he kissed her softly on the hand before she was taken, that moment in his dreams lasted longer than it ever did in real time, and he treasured every second. In his awake life, his heart ache of never seeing her again however, had lasted forever. He could only imagine that she had been killed in the war, thoughts of the different ways it could have happened haunted him. Was she crushed by a destroyed house? Did she try to escape when her owner left without her? Did her owner treasure her enough to run with her under her arm? Some nights, sleep was hopeless, and despite his calm demeanor, found himself chucking his cane across the room in frustration.
Days of recent have been different, though. Since that day of meeting Haru, the imagines in his head when he finally fell asleep for the night had become peaceful. Some even made the stalwart figurine blush.

He had to see her again.
He had no where else to go, anyway, for his home, his river, was dead due to the apartments. He couldn't stay at the bathhouse, either. It had taken him so long to finally win this freedom, and now he didn't want to lose it.
He needed to see her again.
Chihiro had left him only a mere day or two ago. And now that Yubaba was finally out of his hair, he couldn't quite figure out what to do next.
Until now, when he remembered his promise.
He was hesitant, though. He was a spirit. After he crosses that field and through that tunnel, he is taking a step into the human world. Nobody-not one spirit-has ever thought or dared to cross the boundary line that separated themselves from the spirit world and the physical world. So he never did, either. But today, he was going to be brave, and prove to these spirits that it is okay. He would do it for the freedom

You are not a hero.
You are no longer useful to anyone. Your purpose ended the moment that sword reached Dave, the real Dave, the Dave who still matters, who still has some great destiny planned ahead of him, who still has things to do in life.
You thought that your life was over.
You thought, surely, with meteors raining down, waiting for the end on a broken, desolate chessboard, with the one other person that surely must understand how you feel-- not the real thing, just a copy, no longer useful in any way--
You thought that, well, maybe it was a little dramatic, but it was a good way to die.
You were dying anyway. You, with your one wing and your broken sword, your bandaged middle, creamsicle colored liquid seeping from various pa

Arrietty had moved out of her old home for about 6 months now. She spent her life searching the wild bushes and forest for berries and nuts. It was quiet, but too quiet for her. She terribly missed Sho, and even Spiller couldn't make her happy. She knew that while Spiller would probably be her best partner, she couldn't deny that she liked Sho more than Spiller. He had been so nice to her when he had found her. Leaving him was one of the saddest moments of her life. He was her first friend other than the crickets and bugs. She worried day and night if his surgery went well. She wanted to visit him so badly, but she couldn't let her parents worry.
One night, Pod was sitting at their table. Arrietty was cutting up the bread, while Homily was pouring out soup. Pod spoke gravely, "The humans have come near." Homily looked up, worried. "They haven't found us, but we may have to stop scavenging for a few day

It reminds me of you.
And no, not because it makes me blue.
It reminds me
Of the day I forgot my umbrella
And you said, "Silly Chella,
You're going to get sick."
I told you that I didn't care,
"I love the rain, I swear."
You held me tight,
And showed me that it mattered to you.
From my point of view,
It was everything.
You held your umbrella over me
With sweetness I didn't foresee.
You were standing to my right.
And when I noticed that you were getting wet,
You didn't seem upset.
I remember what you said,
"That doesn't matter to me,
Because right now,
I am protecting you on this side
Where my heart beats."

A/N: This is a kind of a songfic on the vocaloid song "Kokoro" sung by Rin Kagamine. I thought it fit the whole creation thing in The Cat Returns. I was tempted to make Louise the main character instead of Haru and to do a whole other story line, but Haru ended up being the one I chose at the end. Also, instead of making Haru, made of wood, I made her into a computer, only to connect with the song more. And to add, this story takes place waaay in the future. Please note, I advise you to pay close attention to the bolded content, to really get the whole story. I hope you enjoy! I do not own the song or characters!

As she got into the blue car it was filled with dust, leaves, and undergrowth. Her parents did not understand. It had been such a long period of time since they had been in their car. "Yes, must be. But what a heartless joke," her mother said. But Chihiro just took a deep breath through her nostrils, sighing. "What's wrong, Chihiro?" her father asked in his gruff voice. "Nothing," she replied.
