For Your Birthday-Chapter 3Future Shock, Backward is Forward and A Fond Remembrance
Pinkie started up her time machine and with another whoosh she was in the future. Strangely, she didn't find herself back home, but outside the same castle. It was almost pitch black out; only the moon and stars provided any light. She could make out the shadowy outline of the castle nearby and approached it.
The castle seemed to be in ruins now, bare earth and the dead, leafless trees surrounding it. Why was it so cold? She rubbed her extremities to try to keep warm as she entered the castle.
"Hello? Anyone?" Pinkie Pie called out into the darkness, but the only sound was the echo of her hooves on the marble floors.
Digging around in her pack she found a bag of jelly beans and began leaving a trail to follow as she walked deeper into the castle. She saw leaves gathered in corners and watched the moon through th

A cheer went up among all the Pinkie Pies and her other friends as they exited the Hall of Brainy Stuff and began the long dangerous journey back to the Land of Parties.
"Don't mind me. I was just here all alone. By myself. In the dark--hoping not get eaten by wolves," Rocky said as he saw them exit the Hall of Brainy Stuff.
"What kind of wolves would eat rocks?" Mr. Turnip asked.
After the long and dangerous five-minute journey, the dream party resumed full force, but Pinkie Pie would not let anything get in the way of her goal; even a good game of pin the tail on the pony.
Pinkie Pie spent her remaining dream time examining the diagram, making note of where she could find all the parts. When she woke up, she was immediately at her paper and crayons and recreated the diagram she had seen in her

Rainbow Dash's Story
You want to hear how I and Applejack became an item, huh? Well, okay... this is how it went.
I'd been having hots for her for a long time, and why not? She's tough, she's cool, she's honest and reliable, she's got these green eyes the color of spring grass when you look at it from far above, so bright you feel like you could just freefall in them, and hoo boy, those haunches... Rowr!
The only problem was I wasn't good with this emotional stuff. Still aren't, really, but lucky me, Applejack doesn't mind most of the time. Sure, I'd fooled around with willing fillies before, but the only time I'd tried anything more serious with somepony I'd been burned bad, and it left me kinda wary. So I was trying to go at it in a roundabout way first, hoping she'd get the hint or something. That didn't work out too well, and I almost pissed Applejack off when I "accidentally" crashed into her the third time in a month.
So I made a tactica
The Secret of Celestia"Sit down Twilight, I've got something to tell you." Twilight turned in shock as Spike sauntered into the library and sat himself down in front of her. Twilight gasped. "What! I mean I guess that makes total sense and was obvious in retrospect, but what?"
Spike nodded. "I had to keep an eye on you, my daughter who I fashioned from clay. That is why you never saw us in the same place, apart from all the times you did. When you give me a friendship report, I actually read it and then burnt it up."
Spike leaned back in his chair, a magical white horn appearing on his head as he revealed his true powers. "You see Twilight, I had to keep you close since you will replace me as the next magical princess, and the only logical way of doing that was to disguise myself as a small purple dragon."
"But what about when I hatched you from an egg and Celestia was right there?" Twilight gasped.
Spike looked smug. "See, th

Applejack yawned, stretching, and opened her eyes. The first thing she saw was the messy violet hair of a mare laying in bed with her. 'Oh my goodness, Ah finally slept with Twi'' Twilight Sparkle's eyes began to open slowly. "Mornin' sugarcube," Applejack greeted her waking guest. 'Whelp, that's four of mah friends that Ah've slept with now. Only one missin' is Rarity.'
Twilight Sparkle's eyes opened wide, her expression slowly changing to confusion, then to calm realization. "Good morning, indeed Applejack," Twilight said, retrieving a nearby book to read, "last night was much better than my books made it out to seem."
Applejack gave Twilight a worried glance as she opened her book. Applejack got put of bed, clumsily. "Would y'all like anythin' ta eat, Twi'" she asked kindly, "We got apple pies, apple fritters, apple-"

Unhitching himself from the wagon, the work pony slowly trotted up the hill. He'd noticed the pegasus pony Fluttershy before, but he had never truely NOTICED her before this moment. His sister's other friends were always so brash or loud, so he never got the chance to ever meet just her. And, seeing her on this hilltop alone, for the first time in his life he did not think about apples.
Fluttershy had had a long day tending the animals of the forest. The shrews had suffered a nasty cold, so she had to quarantine them from the other animals. She hated keeping them in the hutch outside her house, but she didn
My Little Muffin - Part 1 Soft, classical music echoed through the halls and rooms of the humble abode that night. It was a gentle tune, violins and bass bringing forth a powerful, yet emotional crescendo. For some reason, ponies liked playing Posh Ball's 'Canon in D Major' at weddings, possibly to reflect what they hoped the future would bring. Meanwhile, Derpy Hooves busied herself with fixing her dinner: she was not nearly conceited enough to play this sort of thing while reading. My Little Muffin - Part 14 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
The amber-eyed pony hummed along with the tune as she chopped up some celery to put in her salad, looking out her window and into the night sky. Although it grew warmer in her house by the minute, she didn't dare open the windows or else succumb to the horrid stench that came when hundreds of ponies expelled the contents of their stomachs. Derpy shook her head at the thought, dumping the chopped vegetable into her salad.
It all started out innocently enough. The town

"Ms. Rainbow Dash?" A hoof clacked loudly against wood.
"Mmmngh, go 'way Sleepin' "
The hoof rapped again, this time slamming down into the desk beside her head. "MS. RAINBOW DASH."
"HUHWHUZZAH!? WHO!?" Rainbow Dash's head shot upright and nearly smacked an old, grizzled-maned pegasus in the jaw. Her heart raced and her wings flapped awkwardly as adrenaline rushed through her. The old pegasus glared down into the filly's wide magenta eyes and growled, "I would thank you not to fall asleep in my class, Ms. Dash." He turned on his hindhoof and walked slowly back to the front of the class, his icy stare silencing the titters of his students.
As he started to speak again, she rubbed furiously at her eyes. Ugh It's not my fault I'm sleeping in class. If I wasn't up all night studying everything else, then I wouldn't have to catch up in this boring class. She looked up at the blackboard with a w
Blood is Thicker Overall, the day had shaped up to be a usual one for the citizen of Ponyville. Early that morning, she woke up, took care of her usual morning chores, and then went about with her typical Friday morning. She trotted over to the market to buy groceries, stop in at Sugarcube Corner for a quick chat with Pinkie Pie, then went home for lunch. However, that was when her usual schedule ground to a complete and utter halt. Irritated, the pony groaned. Couldn't she ever sit down to eat in peace? She reluctantly got out of her seat and walked over to the front door, opening rather suddenly, about to chew out whomever dared interrupt her meal. There, standing at the door stood the most introverted Pegasus she had ever known... none other than Fluttershy; Ponyville's resident animal expert. "Oh... um," she started, her voice barely more than a whisper. "I... I know it's close to

It was late evening in the small island town of Sugar Cove. The glorious tropical sunset had faded out hours ago, and if not for the uncountable stars, glittering like diamonds against the black velvet of the sky, it would have been quite dark.
Three ponies stood waiting where a smaller, sandy path branched off from the main road, connecting the hillside farms with the town. Well, two of them - an orange pegasus with a fuchsia mane and tail that looked wind-swept even at rest, and a pink earth pony

Rainbow Dash rolled back and sank into the soft, fluffy cloud, the only one in the skies over Ponyville. With a contented sigh she closed her eyes. Despite her misty resting spot the sun's heat had no trouble permeating her sleek body on that hot day. The slight breeze was only the barest whisper in her ears, drowned out by the calls of cicadas and occasional chirping birds. The only other sound was the soft and nearly continuous grating of Big Macintosh's plow tilling the soil directly below.
It was one of the easiest days ever. All she had to do was move a big enough cloud over part of Sweet Apple Acres, shielding the workhorse from the blazing sun while he tilled and seeded the land. Afterwards, she'd give her resting spot a good hard kick so it would water the newly planted crops below.
It felt like the sun was caressing her entire body. Happy feelings of being nuzzled and cuddled as a tiny

"Oh, Princess Luna doesn't have to stay here, silly!" laughed Pinkie. "She just feels more comfy here than in Equestria." She brought her mouth close to my ear and whispered conspiratorially. Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria...
Before dreams were dreams, there were two lonely planets orbiting one another in the light of a dying star. One of these was the moon, the other, the sphere on which we now live.
If there had been ponies to look to the sky, they would have seen only dark, swirling clouds and lightning. There were no stars, only the churnings of weather and the noise of wind eternal stretching from one edge of the flat horizon to the other. The earth quaked constantly.
In this place, there was no living animal with the exception of two alicorn foals, one white and one a dark blue.
They knew no language or magic. Their creator was a being quite foreign to both of them, who has been forgotten to history.
For a long while, they babbled blindly to one another. They fought occasionally, sparring with their horns and fluttering into the air with their wings, but they never approached the clouds, and they never left one another. They drank rain out of depre

Big Macintosh strolled through the apple orchard, inspecting the crop. It was going to be a big one; he could already hear the jingle of bits in his head. Obviously I couldn't let that happen... Wild weather mixing with pegasus weather makes for some seriously bad mojo, so I had to spend like another three hours up there keeping those storms apart.

Twilight and Luna were standing on the deck of the Ponyville Library. It was the middle of spring, and Winter Wrap Up had long past. The grass was growing and the flowers were blooming, adding a beautiful green hue to the world as Luna's moon shone brightly overhead in the dead of night.
