For Your Birthday-Chapter 3Future Shock, Backward is Forward and A Fond Remembrance
Pinkie started up her time machine and with another whoosh she was in the future. Strangely, she didn't find herself back home, but outside the same castle. It was almost pitch black out; only the moon and stars provided any light. She could make out the shadowy outline of the castle nearby and approached it.
The castle seemed to be in ruins now, bare earth and the dead, leafless trees surrounding it. Why was it so cold? She rubbed her extremities to try to keep warm as she entered the castle.
"Hello? Anyone?" Pinkie Pie called out into the darkness, but the only sound was the echo of her hooves on the marble floors.
Digging around in her pack she found a bag of jelly beans and began leaving a trail to follow as she walked deeper into the castle. She saw leaves gathered in corners and watched the moon through th

A cheer went up among all the Pinkie Pies and her other friends as they exited the Hall of Brainy Stuff and began the long dangerous journey back to the Land of Parties.
"Don't mind me. I was just here all alone. By myself. In the dark--hoping not get eaten by wolves," Rocky said as he saw them exit the Hall of Brainy Stuff.
"What kind of wolves would eat rocks?" Mr. Turnip asked.
After the long and dangerous five-minute journey, the dream party resumed full force, but Pinkie Pie would not let anything get in the way of her goal; even a good game of pin the tail on the pony.
Pinkie Pie spent her remaining dream time examining the diagram, making note of where she could find all the parts. When she woke up, she was immediately at her paper and crayons and recreated the diagram she had seen in her

"Thanks for helping me move all this stuff, Twilight," Pinkie Pie said, looking over the boxes Twilight levitated out of the attic and into her bedroom.
"You're welcome, Pinkie. What is all this?" Twilight asked. She looked from one box to the next, some filled with toys, others with old flattened balloons and party favors and one with what appeared to be old long stale baked goods.
"My childhood! I've saved loads of stuff and I brought it all with me when I moved here to Sugarcube Corner. Ooh, lookie!" She held up a rock from a box Twilight was levitating.
The box seemed to collapse under its own weight; rocks and papers and various items fell to the floor.
"That was the first pile of rocks I ever moved!" she said with delight, gathering them up and placing them in an orderly pile.

Sweetie Belle was always a welcome sight, especially when Scootaloo was harping about some absurdly dangerous idea to try out. The idea today was something about base jumping, and Apple Bloom had a feeling she didn't want to know what that was. "Base jumping!" Scootaloo bounced up and down excitedly, flapping her tiny wings with gusto.

You want to hear how I and Applejack became an item, huh? Well, okay... this is how it went.
I'd been having hots for her for a long time, and why not? She's tough, she's cool, she's honest and reliable, she's got these green eyes the color of spring grass when you look at it from far above, so bright you feel like you could just freefall in them, and hoo boy, those haunches... Rowr!
The only problem was I wasn't good with this emotional stuff. Still aren't, really, but lucky me, Applejack doesn't mind most of the time. Sure, I'd fooled around with willing fillies before, but the only time I'd tried anything more serious with somepony I'd been burned bad, and it left me kinda wary. So I was trying to go at it in a roundabout way first, hoping she'd get the hint or something. That didn't work out too well, and I almost pissed Applejack off when I "accidentally" crashed into her the third time in a month.
So I made a tactica

Trixie found the days passed by quickly and peacefully from there. She began to develop a routine. By the time she awoke Fluttershy was making breakfast, typically oatmeal, a warm and filing meal that started the day right. Trixie would take her mornings easy, still recuperating. She had gotten her books back from Twilight, and would review them, often in the garden if the weather held. She would then usually accompany Fluttershy into town in the afternoon, having lunch with her or just taking the chance to stretch her legs. She began to fill out little by little, her coat gleamed once more, and she regained her former energy. Only one thing stood between her and true health. That was why, nearly a week since her first visit, Trixie found herself in the Ponyville library again, Twilight Sparkle staring at her.
"Absolutely no magic?"
"None at all." Trixie shook her head. Twilight frowned.
"What happens if you try?"
Trixie shuddered. "Nausea. Trixie would rather leave it at tha

Twilight gasped. "What! I mean I guess that makes total sense and was obvious in retrospect, but what?"
Spike nodded. "I had to keep an eye on you, my daughter who I fashioned from clay. That is why you never saw us in the same place, apart from all the times you did. When you give me a friendship report, I actually read it and then burnt it up."
Spike leaned back in his chair, a magical white horn appearing on his head as he revealed his true powers. "You see Twilight, I had to keep you close since you will replace me as the next magical princess, and the only logical way of doing that was to disguise myself as a small purple dragon."
"But what about when I hatched you from an egg and Celestia was right there?" Twilight gasped.

Twilight Sparkle's eyes opened wide, her expression slowly changing to confusion, then to calm realization. "Good morning, indeed Applejack," Twilight said, retrieving a nearby book to read, "last night was much better than my books made it out to seem."
Applejack gave Twilight a worried glance as she opened her book. Applejack got put of bed, clumsily. "Would y'all like anythin' ta eat, Twi'" she asked kindly, "We got apple pies, apple fritters, apple-"

Bruises and magical damage faded, lifting away from her coat like a misty haze. Warmth permeated her very core, bringing a pleasant shiver to the surface. Sadly, it wouldn't erase the shame of being so effortlessly taken out by Trixie, regardless of how 'Great and Powerful' the annoying bay blue mare claimed to be (nor would it erase the memory of that terrible Trixie-dance, a sight that would probably be with Twilight until the day she died).

Twilight couldn't help but look surprised seeing Pinkie Pie stop, having finally filled her saddlebags with all the necessary treats and "essentials" from Sugarcube Corner and then promptly transform into a ghostly pink wolf with a puffy candy colored mane, like some kind of wild phantom poodle. Her bags vanished in a puff of magical smoke and, tail wagging, Pinkie Pie sat down and blissfully scratched behind her ear with a hindhoof - er - hindleg. It was just so random and sudden.
"So that's what her travel form looks like?" Spike said from her back, cracking off the edge of a gem as he indulged in a quick magic-burning snack.
Pinkie-Ghostwolf nodded enthusiastically, having clearly overheard.

My Little Muffin - Part 1 Soft, classical music echoed through the halls and rooms of the humble abode that night. It was a gentle tune, violins and bass bringing forth a powerful, yet emotional crescendo. For some reason, ponies liked playing Posh Ball's 'Canon in D Major' at weddings, possibly to reflect what they hoped the future would bring. The amber-eyed pony hummed along with the tune as she chopped up some celery to put in her salad, looking out her window and into the night sky. Although it grew warmer in her house by the minute, she didn't dare open the windows or else succumb to the horrid stench that came when hundreds of ponies expelled the contents of their stomachs. Derpy shook her head at the thought, dumping the chopped vegetable into her salad.
It all started out innocently enough. The town

Rainbow Dash rolled back and sank into the soft, fluffy cloud, the only one in the skies over Ponyville. With a contented sigh she closed her eyes. Despite her misty resting spot the sun's heat had no trouble permeating her sleek body on that hot day. The slight breeze was only the barest whisper in her ears, drowned out by the calls of cicadas and occasional chirping birds. The only other sound was the soft and nearly continuous grating of Big Macintosh's plow tilling the soil directly below.
It was one of the easiest days ever. All she had to do was move a big enough cloud over part of Sweet Apple Acres, shielding the workhorse from the blazing sun while he tilled and seeded the land. Afterwards, she'd give her resting spot a good hard kick so it would water the newly planted crops below.
It felt like the sun was caressing her entire body. Happy feelings of being nuzzled and cuddled as a tiny
