Thought it was about time I uploaded some Ron and Hermione nonsense. Maybe it's a date, maybe Hermione is showing him something, maybe Ron won't tell Hermione where they are going on their date, maybe I'm just making stuff up because in actuality this drawing had no intentions other than to be of my favourite pair. Who can say? Haha.
Nothing special, just a little drawing in between commissions. Haven't drawn them in a while, hope it's satisfactory
So after all those wonderful suggestions, my brain started working again. I thank you! Got a few in process, this is just one of them.
The bit when Ron give Hermione his handkerchief, bless him, he's trying his best. He may not usually have tact, but at least he knows he's not perfect. He's a sweetie at heart.
By the way, I once again used what I remembered from the book rather than looking at the quote, I'm trying to stop doing that. Harry is therefore not on a camp-bed. My bad.
'Don't!' squealed Hermione. Startled, Harry looked over just in time to see her burst into tears over her copy of Spellman's Syllabary. 'Oh, no,' said Harry, struggling to get up from the old camp bed. 'Hermione, I wasn't trying to upset-' But with a great creaking of rusty bedsprings Ron bounded off the bed and got there first. One arm around Hermione, he fished in his jeans pocket and withdrew a revolting-looking handkerchief that he had used to clean out the oven earlier. Hastily pulling out his wand, he pointed it at the rag and said, 'Tergeo.' The wand siphoned off most of the grease. Looking rather pleased with himself, Ron handed the slightly smoking handkerchief to Hermione.
I thought it about time I did some book illustrating again, but I've got that thing where I've looked at the picture for too long and now don't like it as much. I've edited it a little since yesterday though, it's a little better. I am hoping to change it more, but I need to continue with the commissions I've got going at the moment. Admittedly I didn't really look at the quote before drawing the picture, drawn from what I remember of the scene, so they'll probably be loads wrong... sorry.
I just love this scene anyway, it's such a sweet scene. Just think of Hermione's face, I don't think I've drawn the expression quite how I imagined it, but it's such a lovely expression it'd be hard to do it justice.
'Blimey, I hope they escaped,' said Ron, leaning back on his pillows. The tea seemed to be doing him good; a little of his colour had returned. 'I didn't get the feeling Reg Cattermole was all that quick-witted, though, the way everyone was talking to me when I was him. God, I hope they made it... if they both end up in Azakaban because of us...' Harry looked over at Hermione and the question he had been about to ask- about whether Mrs Cattermole's lack of a wand would prevent her Apparating alongside her husband- died in his throat. Hermione was watching Ron fret over the fate of the Cattermoles, and there was such tenderness in her expression that Harry felt almost as if he had suprised her in the act of kissing him.
Schiddoodles! Wow this is about a year old, hidden in the depths of my sketchbook.
A bunch of Ron drawings I did, I found it this weekend and spent my 15 min break at work just touching up certain areas which were crap.
I'm loathing work at the moment, I barely have anytime to think let alone draw. I've been taking my sketchpad into work just so I can do my commissions whilst on my lunch break. Not ideal but it's getting them done... slowly. :/
Anyway enough grumbling, this was a pleasant find, I don't often do character sheets so I'm glad I found this one. It's been nice to just draw for the sake of drawing, even if it was just 'neating' (as if I'm ever neat!) up an old drawing, it's been a while.
And also because it's Ron...
And he is awesome...
And I love him...
But not as much as Hermione...
But still very much!
No idea why I chose those poses. Suppose I wanted him to look endearingly goofy. 'Cause he is.
Again another lineart drawing but although I am going to colour this one, I've a lot on my plate and don't know when I will get to it.
Maybe you'll give me the motivation I've been sorely lacking the past few weeks
It's Ron, Hermione, Harry and Ginny enjoying a lighter moment at the Burrow maybe a few years after the battle... judging from Ron and Harry's muscle tone I would say they are Aurors at this point... I didn't mean to put that much toning in, my hand developed a mind of it's own
I'm going to add freckles/scars/other random lil details when I colour it 2 days...
You know when you've had one of those weekends or weeks where you literally haven't done anything but work. Like from the moment you get up till the moment you go to bed you are working to a schedule of work.
That has been my life for the past 5 weeks. I'm not moody about it because for once I'm enjoying the work, but that doesn't mean I don't want a break sometime. I haven't had a some free time for doing nothing for such a long time, this weekend I've written a 3000 word essay, submitted the illustration for The Courier and begin my research for my etching and printmaking project.
BUT I was good, I got it done earlier than expected so I've treated myself to some relaxing drawing of my choice. Yay. So here is Ron and Hermione.
I haven't got time to colour it but I probably will at some point!
Happy belated 32nd Birthday Ron! (Thursday 1st March). I was writing a hideous 3000 word essay from Friday and have been tweaking it all weekend so never got around to drawing a little something. Better late than never though I suppose.
Here is your lovely breakfast in bed... And your lovely trolling little son, Hugo.
Clearly trolling is genetic. I wanted to put Rose in there as well, but it was a little crowded so I decided against it. Again sorry about the background... I'm so lazy with them.
About time I drew some Harry Potter stuff. Haven't done any since November! Outrageous. I really haven't been in the mood to draw for the past few months, I think it's coming back. At least I've started to force myself to make time and sit down to draw something that I WANT to draw. It always starts off slow because you can't force inspiration and motivation but after a bit you get into the swing of it. Like writing an essay that you have no idea how to start, the introduction is always the worst but the bulk of the essay is much easier. Yes, I did just use a essay as an analogy.
Anyway, I hope all you Potter fans, and everyone else really, enjoy!
Another of the little drawn Ron/Hermione moments in the Deathly Hallows, I've got a bunch more of them drawn I just don't know whether to upload them...
'Harry, in here!' Hermione screamed. She had pulled Ron behind a tapestry. They seemed to be wrestling together, and for one mad second Harry thought that they were embracing again; then he saw that Hermione was trying to restrain Ron, to stop him running after Percy. 'Listen to me- LISTEN, RON!' 'I wanna help- I wanna kill Death Eaters-' His face was contorted, smeared with dust and smoke, and he was shaking with rage and grief.
Not really smeared with smoke and stuff but you get the picture...
Just something I cooked up in today's Starbucks trip.
The water in my house was turned off for 8 hours today so drinking and toilet use was practically impossible so I migrated to Starbucks with my mini sketchbook and sat there for a few hours before going to collect my essay.
Got my essay back, got 1% off a First Class! What is that?! Annoying.
Anyway, little doodle of Ron and Hermione, my go to couple to draw when I feel like drawing nonsense.
