But first: What is Worbla's?
Worbla's Finest Art is a thermoplastic that's ultra cosplayer-friendly. It cuts easily with a knife or a pair of scissors.

As Halloween approaches, what better way to celebrate the season when the spectral
boundaries of the Kingdom of the Spirits of the Dead touch briefly with the mystical
edges of the Domain of We the Living than to invoke the battered and hellishly bedeviled
soul of Edgar Allan Poe to guide us in communication between (his) ghostly and (our)
ghastly planes of existence.
Poe invented the “detective” story and was an early father of “sci-fi”, and he was also an
extraordinary poet, but he is best known for his Gothic tales of mystery and abject horror –
nearly all of them anchored in the apprehension of an impending cruel and unnatural death.

How difficult it always is, to get stones for a costume in the right color, size and shape.
That's why I uploaded this tutorial today: How to make gems.
How to work step by step:
What materials do you need:
- resin and hardener
- tinting paint
- cups and spoons/ chopsticks to stir
- maybe a scale
- silicone mold for/ of stones (I bought it on etsy)
- aluminium foil

So we went to Toycon last Saturday and as usual I... didn't really get to take pictures of toys and stuff. It was so crowded around the merchandise hall that I couldn't stop and take photos because people were constantly threading through and shoving. It was like a river of people with an actual current, hahah! Sometimes I'd find a friend to chat with but we'd eventually be pulled apart by the tide, it was kind of funny.
I wanted to wear something simple and comfortable so I posted on my Facebook that I would wear my old Ichigo cosplay in his Karakura High uniform. The Bleach manga is so crazy now that it just made me miss the days when Bleach was simple.
I think this is the last decent picture of myself that I have wearing this, and it was taken ages ago.
And here it is on me again, with a new wig, better contact lenses, better wig styling and cosplay makeup skills (somewhat), and Kon plush that was give
Drawing stuff is my job...Hey everybody,Drawing stuff is my job...3 years ago in Personal More Like This
This journal post is just by way of clarification, and isn't meant to cause offence to anyone.
I'm a professional artist. I earn the money I need to pay my mortgage and feed myself by drawing comics, designing toys, taking commissions, sketching for people at conventions and selling my self-published comic books. Basically, using the skills I've trained hard for to make a living.
I don't design, illustrate or enhance anything for FREE. I don't do art trades or requests. I can't afford to. I'm EXTREMELY busy, and when I do pack up work for the day, I use that time to chill out to avoid burning out.
I wouldn't dream of going into McDonalds and asking for a free burger, nor do I get my feet out to show a Podiatrist friend of mine. I don't expect a free ride on a bus.
Please extend myself and other professional artists the same courtesy; we may be highly visible, we put our work out there for a variety of reasons; to create an accessible portfolio, to enhance exposure or to

An easy wire-wrapping tutorialWhen it comes to making jewerly, especially silver, wire-wrapping technique is one of the nicest consider the availability and costs of the materials (it definitely beats Art Clay Silver at these points). But before you get silver wire and start making such fabulous pieces like the ones I've featured in the end, it's good to take your first steps using something cheaper - and here comes the copper wire - and making something simpler, to get used to this lovely technique. An easy wire-wrapping tutorial2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
This tutorial I originally posted on my blog a couple of months ago and I thought about sharing it also here.
This is what we're planning to get.
First of all, we need stones - the more regular they are, the better. No need to think about any super duper expensive ones now (: I collected most of them in my garden, there are also parts of my old broken earrings and a small glass ball. We also need sharp pincers, round pincers and a wire, 0.6mm or thicker, 40cm at least. Copper wire i

If you sweat A LOT, apply Mehron No sweat
You can use this like an astringent, then let it dry.
Using a patting method, apply your choice of cream makeup.
I like Ben Nye Clown series in black best, But Proface now has a cream that stands up really well. I had one of my sweaty guys wear it in a photo shoot all day and it held up amazingly.

Serif — Roman
In the last two article of the type design series we made a geometric sans serif and added italics and a bold weight. The geometric sans serif is the easiest style to do, but for me personally things really get interesting with serif typefaces. Of course there is the addition of serifs, but the structure and weight distribution is also much more advanced. In this article I will make an introduction to designing serif typefaces. This article won’t be as detailed as the previous ones because this third article serves as an expansion on the first two. In other words, I won’t get into the basic vector tools or type principles, nor will I show you how to design the letters step by step. I will explain techniques in detail when necessary, but generally I will refer to the techniques described in the first article particularly. So if necessary go back to the pre

Why It Sucks To Be a Cosplayer on HalloweenArt By :iconraggedy-annedroid:Why It Sucks To Be a Cosplayer on Halloween3 years ago in Personal More Like This
So it is Halloween. I am a cosplayer. Here it is, the greatest of all dress up holidays! And I am always disappointed. Here are the top 5 reasons it sucks to be a cosplayer at Halloween.
1) Friends (including friends of friends) come out of nowhere to ask for costumes. They just ask for a little help. On their giant full body armor masterpiece. The week before Halloween. Because you know, you make costumes and it's easy for you. And the price? Well, it's "for a friend" price. Which is always "free" or "I'll pay you $20 never" which boils down to "get you a shot of Jack sometime." Sadface.
2) Costumes in my closet everywhere, but none for Halloween. Yes, I have over 60 costumes. No, none of them will ever be recognized at a Halloween party. One year I dressed as Pris from Blade Runner out on the town, which I thought would b

This is a informative article, outside of the normal DLD activities, to bring awareness to a pair of bills currently under much discussion and debate. These bills are called called SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIP (Protect IP), presented to the House of Representatives and the senate (respectively) in the United States. Later in this article, we will also discuss how these bills have a world wide significance. At the end of the article are several links to the actual bill, news articles, and forum/journals related to this topic. Our aim here is to give to a brief overview, and to answer some questions concerning this debate.
SOPA itself is an attempt to stop online piracy both domestic and foreign by the United States Gov't. It employs a variety of tactics in order to achieve this, including scannin
Advice For Anime Con Artist Alley TypesI was recently asked for some Artist Alley tips, and it made me realize two things: one, that I've been going to cons for 13 years and working Artist Alleys for 8 (good god), and two, that I had a huge guide typed up already. well let's start with the raw armor parts, completely unpainted.
I used WOBLAS FINEST ART as my material. It's a thermoplastic material with a mix out of plastic and wood. It's close to Wonderflex, but thicker, more durable and it's easier to make round shapes l shoulders, knees and chest plates. You can also melt the material together and use it as thermoplastic modeling clay!
This is my VERY first armor and even a bloody begin
