This is my Halo helmet that I started back last May. I haven't worked on this at all in the past few months. I was planning on adding lights as part of the details ... but we'll see if I get that far. This started out as a paper shell (Pepakura) and is now fiberglass.
THE LINK IS UPDATED! EDIT: Tried to fix the problem with the download privileges not set correctly.
Dot Warner Animated Desktop Mascot, created by Agetian & Malec5. Dot and Animaniacs are (C) Warner Bros.
About a year ago my friend (malec5, he doesn't have a DA account yet) and I created an animated Dot Warner mascot for the Windows desktop. Basically it's a small Dot sitting on the corner of your windows, smiling at you, waving her legs from time to time, looking at her fingernails when she feels like it, blinking her eyes, etc. She can even say something if you click on her! Of course, the animation is not perfect, but it's fun! I really love to see Dot sitting on my windows, she makes my work sooo less boring!
The pictures were taken from episode 99 of A!, the sound was also taken from A! but I don't remember which episode... The pictures and the sound were submitted by malec5, and I worked on integrating them into a working animated mascot.
And here's how you can try it out for yourself:
1. Get the program called Otaku Mascot from here and install it: [link] 2. Get my mascot file from here : [link] 3. Unpack the downloaded archive (from the previous step) and double-click on "Dot Warner (left).mascot" or "Dot Warner (center).mascot".
All the files above are small, the program is about 1.5MB and the mascot file is about 500kb.
If you followed it all correctly, you should see Dot sitting on your windows! It was tested on Windows XP, Vista, and 7. Thanks to Little-Power for testing on Win 7 and reporting back!
I'd be happy to hear your comments!
P.S. Oh, and a little hint: if Dot will get in the way of you clicking a menu item in your programs, you can move her by holding your left mouse button on her and moving left or right. And you can also remove her (aww, but why would you want to do that? ) by right-clicking her and clicking "Exit".
Have fun! Thanks to: malec5 for the pictures & sound, WB for Animaniacs and Dot Warner, and also super special thanks to Dot Warner for being such a cutie!
