Your account is yours.Just something that has been on my mind for a while... this attitude I am encountering more and more. Its an attitude where people feel that you owe them something for no particular reason other than your work is gaining exposure? I am not just speaking for myself but others too who I have seen getting barraged by people with this kind of mindset.
For example comments along the line of 'This is okay, but when are you going to do some real art, do some landscapes and nude portraits, you will get no where in life with anime', or stop spamming with crappy pictures, only submit ones that are polished an finished because I am sick of getting my inbox spammed with all your crappy 'scribbles'. 'I really don't see why your pictures get so much attention, there are people on here much better than you'.

So okay some of you got jellin of my fine japanese language desu ne.
I thought of why not teach my lovely watchers speak japanese?
Okay let's start with the simple one. If you want your sentence to sound like japanese you need to put 'desu' at the end of each sentences. Now before we start using 'desu' let me tell you first what it means. It would be stupid if you're using the word that you don't know right? Okay the word 'desu' comes from the latin word 'Canius Femina' meaning bitch. For example I love you desu (I love you bitch).. Tehehe kidding aside. Okay the meaning of 'desu' is really hard to explain but basically it's a polite modifier or it can also mean " It is ", "Those are" , or "I am." or whatever.
Now that you know the word desu let's use it in a sentence.
Fuck you desu. V(=^･ω･^= )v

deviantPOINTS: An updateOver the past few months we’ve been keeping a watchful eye on the way that members in our community have been offering points as payment for certain types of services within deviantART. We’ve seen all sorts of creative uses, from offering to critique your work for a few points, journal features for a few more points and my personal fav -- avatars, journal skins and any other sort of art commission for points. It’s been great to see deviants use their experience and skills to fund their super group upgrades, prints purchases and even treating their friends and families to their very first item of deviantWEAR.deviantPOINTS: An update3 years ago in Personal More Like This
As time rolled on, we noticed a new trend creeping in. How did you first discover deviantART?
I first discovered deviantART because of a web design class I took with my sister and a friend. Our teacher wanted us to use stock for mock pages and we ended up finding dA. My sister and friend joined dA and I just kinda watched them. I wasn't much of an online type back then. I managed my sister's page when she made her side portfolio account and started scanning in her older works. So when I took over AssClownFish, I kinda already knew what I was doing.
What was it about dA that made you want to stay?
I just kinda wanted to blow time when I was in college. I just started posting stuff, to see how long it'd take before I got banned for simply being me. Turns out I'm not ban worthy yet .
What is the story behind your username?

Improving your Art
The dA news platform is a great way to adress the community and teach them things about a wide range of topics, and of course to find information that you didn't even know you were looking for! Over time I've collected many great articles. This series will bring them together per topic so it's easy to find what you're looking for! Besides helping people find information they need, the aim of this series is also to promote quality on the news platform.
For this issue, I chose articles about Improving your Art. There may be more issues on this topic in the future
Articles may overlap on some areas, and may contain outdated info though I've tried to avoid this.

CEA Blog: How to Report an Underage DeviantHiya deviants!CEA Blog: How to Report an Underage Deviant3 years ago in Personal More Like This
It's always pretty unfortunate when we find a talented young artist here on dA when they are just too young to hold an account with us. Today I would like to talk about what to do when you stumble across a deviant that is under the age of 13 years old.
So what do we consider to be "underage" and what does dA do about it?
dA complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, meaning we prohibit any child under the age of 13 from opening and using a dA account. Even with parental permissions this restriction must stay in place.
When an underage kiddo is brought to our attention their account will be closed automatically. COPPA closed accounts are kept as they are until their owner reaches our minimum required age. Upon verification of their age their account can be restored to active status and all its contents will still be there.
For more information on what COPPA is please go here: COPPA.org.
So what do I do

As part of the 11th birthday celebrations, we deviously had created a beautiful celebratory photograph to share with you all. It is stunning, a real epitome of the deviantART world. Unfortunately someone (I'd look in the direction of last month's deviousness award winner) left a window open and an army of naughty mudkips came and stole the photo! We were all devastated (well with the exception of ScENeYmE who found it hilarious!)
Fortunately, the great Moonbeam13 called upon her witching powers (the spell involved monkeys, lightning and an extra sprinkle of devious magic) and managed to find the photograph. Sadly, she discovered the naughty mudkips had ripped the photograph apart, leaving it in complete disarray! To stop the mudkips stealing it again, she gave individual pieces to deviants to conceal until we knew it was safe to unveil the complete photo to everyone. However, as busy as Moonbeam13 is, she has forgotten who holds the hidden pieces (though

As Halloween approaches, what better way to celebrate the season when the spectral
boundaries of the Kingdom of the Spirits of the Dead touch briefly with the mystical
edges of the Domain of We the Living than to invoke the battered and hellishly bedeviled
soul of Edgar Allan Poe to guide us in communication between (his) ghostly and (our)
ghastly planes of existence.
Poe invented the “detective” story and was an early father of “sci-fi”, and he was also an
extraordinary poet, but he is best known for his Gothic tales of mystery and abject horror –
nearly all of them anchored in the apprehension of an impending cruel and unnatural death.

RATS F.A.Q - UPDATEDSOME USEFUL FACTS ABOUT RATSRATS F.A.Q - UPDATED4 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've received many notes lately asking me some usual questions about rats : how to take care of them, should they live alone or with other friends, what should they eat, common diseases, etc... so I thought it would be nice to give some informations about them.
First of all, rats make wonderful pets. They are very playful, cuddly, curious, smart, licky, they have a lot of personality. Their behaviour is very similar to dogs' behavior and they are as clean as cats.
They unfortunately suffer from a very unfair bad reputation.
Rats don't carry many diseases, they actually carry way less than cats or dogs. They can be potty-trained, they can learn tricks, they are very affectionate towards their owner, you'd actually be amazed at how loving and funny they are. Once you've owned rats, you can never forget about how sweet and fascinating they are.
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about rats (including a paragraph about breeding although I'm fi

What is spam? A brief history.
Spam is the Internet equivalent of junk mail you may receive in your post advertising some product or telling you that you might be the winner of a large jackpot prize. Typically this content is low level advertising sent out in bulk aimed at getting the attention of a handful of individuals. It often has some level of truth but often also has copious amounts of small print that say you must be no taller than 5 foot 10 but no shorter than 5 foot 9, you must have brown hair and wear your footwear on the wrong feet.
With the advent of the Internet and email mailing lists in particular, sending out this sor
