For convenience and my own purposes. Same drawings as in the individual pictures just scaled around a bit and grouped together.

The Caproni 150 series cargoship is a common sight in the spacelanes. Capable of runs of 150 lightyears in a single hyperspace vector, this vessel type services routes off of the Grand Trunk Routes.

This example is owned by the Talloci transport company and is overdue for a hull cleaning. Just behind the ship a workpod looks over the aft section using it's searchlight.

I think G Gundam has some of the sharpest looking Gundam designs ever. Maybe I'll do more.

Planned to post one of these sooner but got sidetracked. I thought it might not be a bad idea to post a wallpaper size version of this illo as the original concept sheet posting looses a lot of the weathering details due to the smaller size. All the chips are dark brown and show well when you have a bigger image to look at ;) I imagine those of you who dug the original posting might like a wallpaper size so I made a nifty widescreen 1024 version. I also posted some armor thumbnail roughs in the scaps section today for those interested, there will be a lot of early rough concepts going there so stay tuned.

The colors were done a bit more dramatic here, and I did a once-over on the other three to touch them up a bit and unify them all.

Another conceptual design/model sheet for the Theos animation project. This fella is actually not some hulking mecha someone rides in it's a bio-mechanical entity closer to a cyborg in some ways but still something quite different. Itís the same race of creature that the little mech in the IO Diner piece is from. These guys are combat machine for a future not really Germany nation called Germane. Clearly I had fun with some WWII aesthetics and cammo patterns but unlike the Sfikas these guys are cell shaded with heavy weathering which is the direction all future designs for this project will head. The hats have a locking snap which can unlock if combat is imminent as the hats are only for formal dress and rank. You can't go around fighting with a hat in your mechanical eye, no? Much of these designs will probably get tweaked even further once we're ready to pitch this show, there's plenty of time as we're in the middle of working on another show project for an ad company in Arizona.

John Bull was like the fatter, gentler, working class English version of Uncle Sam, accorking to Wiki.

Thought I should start getting some concepts going for the mecha in the story.

This is Hiro's (commander's) Unit from the "Wolves" class of SF Cavalry Mecha.
(First concept)

Outfitted with Broad-Spectrum Counter Measure CS-39's on the shoulders, a light assault rifle in the right hand, a custom alloy 469-d field sword, and a PL-equipped Handgun (shown with attached pike-bayonet) in the left hand.

Also various flares, chaff, rockets, grenades and further munitions located in shoulders, legs, etc.
