Survival ch.19-----A couple of minutes later--
The group of Pokemon were celebrating that they were rescued, but they were still anticipating the return of their friends.
"I can't believe they did it!"
Delilah, however, stood away from all the celebration, still looking at the headquarters in uncertainty. Her daughter clung to her leg, also looking towards the far off building.
"Where are you...?" Delilah whispered. Marina stayed quiet in awe as she kept looking at the building.
Suddenly, something took off from the roof of the building, and started flying towards the group. Neither of them knew what to think of the flying object, which soon turned out to be a helicopter. Once the engine noise was heard, everyone turned around and looked at it in silence.
The helicopter flew down and landed in front of the ground, kicking up dust. Everyone shielded their faces from the dust. When the helicopter landed and the dust settled down, everyone stared at it.
The helicopter's door

Suddenly, I regained my senses. I could feel, see, smell, hear, taste...but at the moment I was having difficulty doing so. I had a strange feeling of coming into existence again.
A possible outcome about these symptoms appeared in my mind, but it soon died due to impossibility.
Unfortunately, I was incapable of answering my own question correctly, as I attempted to recuperate from...whatever just happened. I looked around and scanned the surroundings with my semi-conscious eyes. The ground around me was a blurry mix of green ground and brown sticks popping up out of it that held up a large canopy of more green. I tilted my head up to the sky, and saw a bright blue void.
As I shook my head to get myself to full consciousness, I recognized my location better.
I also noticed I was sitting down, leaning on a tree myself. Without thinking straight, I tried to get up ...only to meet slight pain streak across my body. I fell back dow

There was a trail cutting straight through the forest, lined with rocks and stones, as well as broken Pokeballs and other "trash" objects of the like. It was empty; no sign of life at all.
That was, until footsteps echoed throughout the air, and two voices were heard.
A Simisage carefully walked down the trail, passing and kicking a nearby medicine case. Next to him was a Dewott, wearing orange sunshades.
"Hmm...Travolta," the Dewott asked, glancing at a broken Pokeball case.
"Yeah?" the Simisage replied.
The Dewott looked concerned. "It might be an inaccurate question, but....Do you really think the others are still alive?"
"...Seriously Lennon, of course!" the Simisage chuckled, confident but nervous. "Especially, if everyone sticks w

As I slowly cracked my tired, crusty eyes open, I saw the slight blur of my computer desk, with my busted laptop and monitor on it as well as some little die-cast toys like small cars and military jet replicas, along with bits of trash like cups and paper and the like. I turned off of my side and sat up in bed.I looked around my orange and green-colored room, with the morning light pouring through the windows to the left of my bed. I looked at the TV directly across the room, which was playing a paid program-I liked to leave my TV on, it helped me sleep. Not necessarily efficient, but...All I could hope to do was the electricity bill didn't get too high for my mom.
Anyways, as I climbed out of bed to sit down at the computer like I usually did every morning. I opened it to immediately see my deviantART internet page. I clicked on my username to see if I got any messages through the night. Onl

The sound of the phone ringing disrupted me from my thoughts. I grabbed it off the desk and answered it to my dad.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hey, it's me," my dad's deep voice greeted.
"Oh, hi Dad, what's up?"
"Oh, nothin'...Just checking on ya, you wanna go out somewhere today or you wanna wait until tomorrow?"
I thought for a moment. I was feeling in the mood to eat out at Ketchup Restaurant at the National Harbor.
"Yeah, can we go to the Harbor to eat?"
"Sure, I'll be down there an about an hour. Go ahead and put some lotion and deodorant on, comb your hair, wash your face, brush your teeth and get some clothes on."
"Okay, I will. See ya."
I hung up the phone and went to do the things my dad told me to. I went down the hall to the bathroom. However, as I looked in the mirror, I was shocked at a change in appearance-my hair was nearly twice as long as it was before.
"What the heck...?" I said, as I ran my hand through my now long hair. I was p

"You have any idea where Storm is, at all?" Dan asked Alan.
"I hate to say this, but I've been interrogated and tortured for two days!" came the reply, as they rounded another corner. "I have no idea where he is!"
Dan sighed and kept on running with the others. The shouts and footsteps of the other soldiers seemed to get closer by the minute.
Finally, they came to a door at the end of the hall. Dan crashed through it first, and everyone went in. It was a wide room, but it was empty. There was a door at the opposite end of the room.
However, also inside were two soldiers to the sides, and in the center aisle was a shiny Lucario with sunglasses on. It was holding another familiar Lucario captive. It was unconscious.
Arthur was the only one who recognized who the shiny Lucario was, as the one he saw in the helicopter earlier-but everyone knew who the other Lucario was.
"Kill them all!" the shiny Lucario commanded, in a feminine British voice. She to

At first Arthur could not believe it. He looked back at forth at the Lucario and soldiers behind him.
"Do it," Dan suddenly said, in a lower tone than usual.
Arthur was shocked. He looked at his Grovyle comrade, who, to his surprise, had a regretful expression. He actually looked like he was defeated. Arthur never knew him to be like this. Alan had the same look, too.
What's wrong? He's not himself...is he serious?
"Wha...?" Arthur mouthed.
Dan remained silent, and dropped his weapon. Alan did so as well. Arthur simply looked on, confused.
"I said drop your weapon!" a soldier said from behind, jabbing a cold barrel of a rifle into Arthur's back.
"Agh!" Arthur grunted. He gave another look at his defeated squad mates.
"Look, Arthur...It's over. We lost."
Still not understanding the situation, Arthur finally decided to drop his gun.
Are you really giving up now? But all we wo

Arthur flew straight through the treeline, losing some speed by going through the tree branches, and crash-landed deep into the forest, landing on his back. He rolled a little, before stopping. He lie there, his body facing the sky. His eyes were closed; he didn't move at all.
He was miraculously slowed down by the tree branches that he hit; even though they made deep cuts and scratches all over his body, they were the only things that made him survive the harsh fall.
Suddenly, Arthur's right hand moved. It only moved just a little-first the fingers, then the entire arm. His breathing became audible-and uneasy. He slowly moved his hand towards a pocket in his camouflage gear, and pulled out something small and cylindrical, with a needle sticking out-a battle-ready syringe. With all of his remaining strength, he lifted it up to his neck and jabbed it into it.
It took a few seconds for the syringe to work. Arthur's eyes opened wide. His expression was full of fear.

The voices of the soldiers reverberated through out the room as they walked inside the building-and struck fear into the minds and hearts of all the hidden Pokemon behind the desk. The soldiers began walking closer and closer, scanning the surroundings with their eyes.
Dan growled, and Arthur struggled with his thoughts. They had to do something fast, or else they would be in big trouble!
Following each other, both the soldiers walked towards the right side of the desk, coming closer to the staircase.
That instant, Arthur ran out of his cover and ran towards the first soldier, to his shock. He raised his rifle to Arthur's head, but wasn't quick enough to fire as the Zoroark grabbed the barrel of it, threw it to the side, grabbed him by the neck and turned him around, using him as a human shield. Arthur pulled out his pistol and aimed it at his captive's head. He squirmed, but couldn't move at all.
Survival, ch.6Dan began to walk across the street, keeping his gun at the ready and his eyes up and searching. Everyone followed him. When he reached the door, the automatic opening system had been turned off. Seeing this, Dan pried the doors open with his hands, and sidled through. Everyone else followed suit.Survival, ch.64 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
The lobby was simple-there was a front desk at the center, and chairs and benches to the sides of the narrow room. Lined along the wall were doors with signs that showed where they lead to, including an outlet for a stairway and one for an elevator. The rear of the building was a large window that viewed the street behind the building. The room was somewhat dark-only the emergency lights were on. They provided sufficient light.
Dan stepped forward, alert. He looked around the room, and gave a thumbs-up. Arthur then lowered his gun, and followed Dan. Lennon, Travolta, and the others stood near Dan.
"Okay guys," Dan began. "Lennon, Travolta, and the youngins are going to stay at the front desk

It was in the beginning of winter, and Christmas was a couple of weeks away. Snow covered the grass, trees, and the roof and porch of the small, isolated cabin. A couple of yards away from the cabin, a Riolu was playfully bulding a snowman. He was wearing a wool jacket, and a bandanna around his neck, with a yellow thunderbolt logo on it. He looked very cheerful, as he put the last touch on his snowman-a hat. He happily jumped for joy, celebrating his new creation.
But inside the cabin, the atmosphere was quite...different.
The Lucario had just finished eating her breakfast. She got up and looked out the window. She saw her son, finally finishing his creation that he had spent all morning on. She gave a small proud smile, slightly impressed from the little creation her son had made. She then looked over to the printed letter on the table. The smile quickly faded.
That letter was a notice from the Sinnoh Royal Army that her husband was going to be deployed

"Hey, what are you waiting for? There's a harbor not too far from here! Come on!"
The Simisage's voice from far away broke the Dewott's thoughts. He sighed heavily.
"I'm coming, hold on..."
The Simisage, 'Travolta', pointed towards a large mechanical structure in the distance. It consisted of three buildings-one tall, two small-and a port that extended to the sea.
It, along with any other manmade, occupied structure in the area, was abandoned. All the humans had left the region altogether.
The Dewott, 'Lennon', began running towards his friend, who was further down the trail. Once he met up with them, they continued walking down the trail.
All of a sudden, the sky let out a thundrous roar, and drop upon drop of cold water pounded the area as rain. The grass, trees, and sand became soaked as the sudden storm hung overhead. Lennon and Travolta, however, were barely affected.
Suddenly, as they neared the harbor

"Arthur..." Delilah whispered. Arthur looked at her, while remaining careful.
"...Do you think we escaped them?"
Arthur couldn't answer, as he uneasily looked up at the cliff above them. The footsteps came to a halt.
A few tense seconds passed. "Lost 'em!" came a shout from the cliff. The footsteps continued-but this time, away.
Arthur sighed in relief. They had gotten away without being detected. He continued downwards, with the Floatzel in his arms.
"I think we did escape..."
"Arthur!" a voice whispered from below. Arthur looked down to see who it was-at the expense of spooking himself at the height of the canyon.
It was Dan-he waved his hand in the air, managing to keep Marina and the rope in the other.
"Cave below!" he said. "We're g

Just at that moment, the beast started charging its railgun. "TIME FOR YOU TO DIE!"
"Dammit!" the Lucario cursed.
The only way out was to jump off the roof. He studied the ground carefully, and jumped. He ran to the corner, leaped off, and landed on the ground with a short roll. The jump wasn't that bad, due to the Lucario's naturally strong legs. The railgun round pierced through the sky with a high-pitched screech. Upon seeing that the Lucario had jumped off, it did so as well and landed in front of the Lucario.
The Lucario aimed his gun at the beast, and pulled the trigger.
The gun did not fire. "What the...?!"
The beast taunted the Lucario. "What? Something wrong? Are you...scared?"
Backing away, the Lucario checked the safety on the weapon again, and checked to see if it was jammed, or had no ammo. The safety was off, it wasn't jammed and the clip was full...He had no idea

The world around the dazed Zoroark was blurry. He stared at a bright blue horizon, mixed with yellow out of a corner, and white spots dotted across. A green, red winged object-perhaps a dragon-flew across it for less than a second.
Loud cracks reverberated in the air, which brought Arthur to his senses. He quickly sat up, and scrambled to the nearby car. He looked towards where the cracks came from.
The loud cracks were gunfire-coming from a parked Stryker on the road, with its main gun and guard soldiers firing at something not too far away-another Stryker on its side, motionless. Meanwhile, in the air, a Flygon circled over the area.
Crap! The others!
Remembering his friends, Arthur ran over, trying not to be seen by the opposing force. He took cover behind a wide concrete block, with the Stryker a stone's throw away from him across a small clearing-one that was wide open, and would get him killed if he stepped out into it.

Artemis walked over to Ash, keeping his hands behind him as he walked. "Yes, it feels like a long time, doesn't it?"
Ash looked at him, then back down at his hands. "So. . .am I really dead?"
Artemis laid a hand on Ash's shoulder and stood before him. "Yes and no. Mewtwo was able to physically kill you, causing yo

I scan the landscape, only to see people...many people....all of them are either crying, wounded, or both. They were all pleading for help. Some of them are even lying on the ground, lifeless.
However, some of them weren't suffering on sight-some of them were just standing up, sitting down, or lying down, staring at their surroundings. Their emotions were various.
None of them noticed me...they never had, and they never would, either.
And with every single suffering person...came their story of how they came to be, or what happened in the past. They ranged from unfortunate tragedies, to imminent futures they knew they were destined for.
I walked to every single one of them, picked them up, and read them. Again, they never noticed me.
The stories...They stung my heart. Tortured it and scarred it for life. They were truly troubled by their stories. Never in the world would I look upon a person again without keeping them in my heart.
