It was about 7:35 pm when April heard a tapping noise by the fire escape.
She sat bolt upright at her desk, hands still poised over the keyboard of her laptop, holding her breath. Had she imagined it? No, there it was again. Someone was definitely tapping on the window by the fire escape.
Her mind and her heart began racing simultaneously. There were only three possible explanations she could think of for this situation. One was that a burglar was trying to break into the apartment. The second was that the alien robots she had escaped from a week ago had come for her. The third was that the foursome of giant talking turtles that had saved her from the alien robots had decided to pay her a visit. The only way she could find out which one of those three possible options was out there right now was to go to the window and see.
Very slowly, she leaned over in her chair, reached under the desk and picked up the only weapon she had; an aluminum baseball bat. She could fend off a burglar easi
BulliedOblivion stormed down the long corridor. With his fists clenched and optics burning, he hoped that his obvious discontent would be enough to keep someone from bothering him. Thoughts raged in his head in an angry flurry. Though he could not speak, he could still rant in his mind. It was a good way for him to burn steam without getting thrown into the brig or something similar. After becoming a member of the Cybertronian Guard, it seemed he was ranting to himself more and more often. Currently, he was mulling over his first encounter with his new team mates.Bullied7 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
Slaggin idiots. All of them. I thought Id be able to avoid that kind of thing by joining the guard. Should a just stuck with helpin Doc. Yeah, hes an idiot, too. But at least he was an idiot who had some respect for a beings space. The Decepticon shuddered at the memory of Galeforces tight embrace as she pretended to be upset at Shockwave.
Mech CornerOblivion glanced up from the glowing screen as he heard foot steps. One of the newer recruits was approaching, a slight hesitancy in her step as a look of confusion crossed her face. Oblivion nodded slightly in recognition of the recruit, Ebony Sonata, then turned back to the monitor.Mech Corner7 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
Shockwave, Sir? Ebony asked as she stopped a few feet away from the mech. Shockwave, who was standing behind Oblivion as he monitored the smaller mechs progress, turned to see who was speaking.
Ah, Ebony. What do you need? he asked.
The femme saluted her commanding officer. I just came to report that I have finished my duties for today.
Very good, carry on, Shockwave replied. He glanced down at Oblivion and pointed out a mistake he had made. The mech grunted in response as he corrected it, then glanced behind him. Shockwave followed his gaze to find that Ebony was still standing behind them.
Yes? Shockwave asked, slightly annoyed that she h
A Simple TaskOblivion enjoyed the silence that had descended upon the base after the sudden death of Galeforce. Sure, it might be wrong to enjoy the results of someones death, but he really did not care. The unusual quietness was giving him the chance to get far more work done than he had ever been able to before all of this happened. The hectic life was sure to resume soon as the others got over the shock, but that just gave him all the more reason to enjoy the peace while he could.A Simple Task6 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
The war-hardened mech leaned back, rolling his shoulders to try and remove the tiresome creeks he kept getting from sitting to long. It was a pain, but not worth having Doc even attempt to fix. Just as he reached again toward his keyboard, one of the doors into the bridge slammed open with a loud crash. Ebony Sonata stormed into the room, looking extremely annoyed. Oblivion paid her no heed, hoping shed just simply leave.
Unfortunately, Oblivion is not a very lucky mech. The medic quickly stormed up to and
Death WishOblivion glared at the consul screen in front of him, as if the burning hatred emanating from his single optic could make it disappear, or change, or something else. He had done his other assignments without complaint. Meeting his superior officer and managing to not do any harm to anyone involved? Difficult, but done. The raid on Earth? Enjoyable, if a bit annoying to clean the red fluid off his equipment. The DJ? He had lost count of the energon carts he had pulled in and out of there at three thousand four hundred something-or-other. He had even let himself eventually be dragged in for the systems check everyone had been required to have after the virus started to spread around the base. Yes, he had done every single one of the assignments he had been given, and even managed not to kill anyone he was not supposed to kill on-duty.Death Wish6 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
So, why in the slaggin pit had he gotten the newest assignment? It was disgraceful! It was far below him, a miss-use of his talents. Why was it even

Half-Pint looked up from the floor she had been scrubbing to see Shockwaves tall frame looming over her. He sounded annoyed, and the dent in his optic ridge gave more proof to the fact that the Guard leader was ticked. I aint seen the slagger, Half-Pint said gruffly, returning her glare to the un-identified stain on the floor that refused to be cleaned. I aint his keeper. Why you askin me?
He has not shown up for his past five shifts, and Ive looked in his usual hangouts, Shockwave said. He hasnt yet reported to the med-bay to be inspected for the virus, as well, which is probably the reason he hasn't shown up for his shifts. He is getting heavily on my nerves and needs to be Corrected. I just assumed that you might know where he is, since the two of you act like siblings.

I clenched my teeth in frustration and withdrew my attention from the composition in front of me with great difficulty.
I am busy, I said coldly. The boy in the doorway shuffled his feet nervously and fingered the large scarf that draped over his neck.
I do not believe that you do, for if you did, you would not pester me so. The pen resumed scribbling notes onto the staff, a lovely melody unfurling in my head and spilling out onto the parchment. It was a gift for her, inspired by her, and named for her. A Christmas gift, I suppose one would say. I wanted her music to speak of her soul. And it undoubtedly would.

The Valentine's MartyrOblivion was having a bad day. Not that any of his days were specifically good in the first place, but today stood out among the other moments of his rank life as being particularly foul. It had started off with the mech being dragged out of recharge by the annoying shrieks of Shadow Kai as she ran down the long corridor that linked the Guard dorms, singing her rendition of a cheerful wake-up call. Not that that was unusual; she did that every morning. But Oblivion had tripped over something as he tried to crawl out of his berth. It was some sort of machine, with a note attached. Apparently, Kai had snuck it into Oblivions room while the mech was recharging. The Valentine's Martyr6 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This

Too bad she didn’t have someone of her own to steal moments with, to hold or fall into.
Well, she did have someone, but he didn’t view her as anything more than a business partner. Someone to write down information, record game plays and maintain equipment. To cook for teams, clean their clothes and stitch up their wounds.
She was a manager, a maid, and a medic. She was a girl he could use, and boy has he used her.
Just not in the way that she wanted him to.

“Alright, make sure you water him with this –” a small watering can, about the size of a liter of Coke, was shoved roughly into his chest. “in the morning. Focus on his roots, or else he’ll get all dry-like.”
“Keep him under this light as much as possible.” Two small hands reached up to adjust the shade of the light, an invention of his own.
“And you better strap down that pot if you’re gonna fly anywhere. If you break that pot and any part of him gets hurt, I’m gonna rip out your stomach and use it as a new pot, you got that?”
Peter finally snapped, shattering the contended silence on the Milano, earning him annoyed glances from Drax and Gamora, who were trying to enjoy a quiet meal. The ranting raccoon

When you were still young?
Count all the things he told you
Without a serpent's tongue.
Did the prodigy beside you
Ever kiss your cheek?
When did her tiny heart
Forsake the world's meek?
Your grandfather is frowning
Behind his wall of flames.
Good intentions here are twisted;
Death is just another game.
Two men want you dead.
The prodigy is ready.
Love makes a deal instead
And tells you to sleep steady.
The morning sun feels cold
Without Lady Love to wake you.
Father steals a Dragon's gold,
Inspires Prodigy to break you.
A nation at your feet.
Be careful where you tread.
Whosoever shames the king
Searches through the eye that bled.
A young fool takes the ocean.
Find a set of glowing eyes,
And you shall redeem your honor.
Just ignore the Fat and Wise.
Fat man wants to lie to you
That honor, gold, and pride
Will only lead to lords on fire
And kill the prince inside.
In the end he's right of course,
But now the sun is black.
Stained hands are stirring

Finishing off the bottle, Alfred gurgled, reaching up blindly, as his eyes were still closed. Arthur stretched out a digit, smiling when the tiny hands latched on, happy gurgles sounding throughout the room. Francis smiled from his seat, ge

"Just one more screw," Donnie muttered to himself as a picked up a mini screwdriver. "Why does Raph keep breaking his T-Phone? Geez, he needs to be careful."
He continued to screw in the itty bitty screw into the piece of technology as he complained to himself. "Doesn't he get how fragile this is?" He rolled over to another table in his wheeled office chair and grabbed a small chip and a pair of tweezers.
"Almost there," Donnie mumbled, sticking his tongue out in concentration. He slowly lowered in the microchip and sat there smiling with satisfaction.
"Done!" he sang as he put the back on the phone. "Fixed the screen and everything." He glanced at his clock. "In a little over an hour too! New record!"
He leaned back in his chair, kicking his feet up onto his work space. "Time to relax a bit..."
That's when he heard his door slam open. He glanced behind his shoulder in horror as the

"Sir? Do you find me expendable?"
The man stopped his actions and turned his head to the questioning voice behind him. He had never had to deal with such an absurd and personal question, especially not at this time of day- it was late at night and he was preparing his work for tomorrow and getting ready to close up. Nevertheless, the voice beckoned him to answer, and those tired, stressed blue eyes stared at him, anticipating a reply.
"Ah well " he began, setting down a bag of freshly scooped coffee beans he was just getting done with wrapping. "Why do you ask?" he retorted- trying to learn more about this mysterious being facing him before composing an answer.
"I ask because I require an answer, sir." They replied their voice hollow and their eyes drifting to look to the tan coloured elixir that would be coffee but was too over run with creamer in their cup.
"That isn't much of a reason, and I can't say- do you feel you are?" replied the coffee vendor, who worked the bag in

Donnie sat at his work bench, rubbing his temples as he groaned. He hasn't slept all night, due to the fact that his brothers didn't believe him about the whole glowing thing.
Donnie didn't even know why he was in his lab again; he thought it would calm his thoughts to be at his table. But, he didn't have anything to work on, so why was he here?
He had been there for about a good two hours already, and his brothers decided to leave him be. Perhaps that was best. After all, the purple banded turtle wasn't really in the mood for talking.
Donnie let out a yawn as he tinkered away on a random object he found in his lab. He had damaged it purposely, just so he could have something to keep his mind busy. He was in the middle of his work when he heard a soft tapping on his doorframe.
"What do you want, Mikey?" Donnie asked, not even turning in his chair to face his brother. "I'm kind of in the middle of something

This was going to be hell. Not looking forward to your first night at all, you took your time when going to your office. By the time you got there, it was almost twenty past twelve. Sighing, you accepted your fate – you were stuck with this stupid job. As you walked through the door, you were shocked to see a figure sitting in your chair, the tablet in his large hands.
“Erm... excuse me... are you supposed to be here...?” You questioned nervously, already intimidated by the stranger. Moving only his eyes, which you noted to be a bright azure, he glared at you in your position by the door.
“You're late.” Was all he said.
Scratching your cheek, embarrassed, you mumbled a response, “Yeah... I slept in...”
You moved from the door into the tiny room, the tension growing ever worse.

They ran into the Tardis at full tilt, River hobbling, screeching howls sounded behind them, a laser bolt flashed over their heads and impacted the far wall.
They whirled and slammed the doors shut, panting. The chaos was safely locked outside.
River reached down and pulled off her broken high heel.
The Doctor looked down in disapproval. "River, why do you always have to wear high heels? You know we're going to end up running. You could have broken your leg!" He waved his arms, his ire not quite covering his concern.
She tossed aside the offending shoes, she smiled at him, tilting her head coyly. "They make my legs look good," she said. She slipped a hand down his irate face. "And I'll happily risk it to see that appreciative gleam in your eye," she said softly.
He calmed under her touch. He leaned forward and touched his nose to hers. "I appreciate your legs when they're in nothing but skin," he said in a soft, guttur
