Ok, enough experiments for a while, let's back to the normal stuff...

I'm not sure this translates as a single animal... I screwed the proportions, so it's not quite dog or panther... but I tried to make it look functional. This is a pretty recent drawing, I hope the technique is better than the last woodbot...

Back to the usual stuff... this was done because I just love Juan Gimenez's art and the way he does technology... (and if you haven't seen any, shame on you, google some).

Yes, horrible title :D

Some day, when I get to be old and rich and with plenty of free time, I'll illustrate my version of the war of Troy... and it will look quite different from Brad Pitt's...

Well, this was supossed to be a "thank you" drawing for the 10 k you've kindly given me... better late than ever, I guess...

I don't think I need to stress this is one of my favorite themes ;)

I love wood robots... I guess they're pretty bulky and useless and impossible to make, but they're also unique looking... I like drawing all the cogs and ropes, things that look like they could work. This lady is the greatest inventor in this world and half of the others. And nine times out of ten, art is better with a lady. Oh, yes.

This was done first as a ink wash drawing, and finished in Photoshop. I enjoy doing this quick concepts, just for fun.

First post, I hope everybody likes it.

Thanks for the 40k views, folks!

This was done for a concept art book that suddenly went to the limbo...

I wanted this to say: STEP ASIDE, OR ELSE...

Wouldn't it be great, riding a four-legged Harley Davidson in another planet? Or is it just me?

This is an idea I had once, flipping thru a book on african art... imagine all this totems, or scarecrows, left in the jungle (as the ones in Planet of the Apes)... imagine that in some season, the plants grow and use the totem as a skeleton... the vines function as tendons and muscles, the giant leaves provide energy... the thing walks. All of them do... there's an army of plant-powered wooden skeletons...

So I need some sleep...

I love retro SF... I love technology that looks ancient (now that's a contradiction)... this, is what I think an astronaut would have looked like, some three centuries ago...
