I Feel Fine Chp. 6
It was starting to get dark, and we all left the ice cream shop, trying to avoid any more photo shoots with the fans. It took FOREVER just waiting for Ringo and some of the other boys to finish up. I didn't even start talking to some of them until we left that it was so bad. Not to mention some girls were attempting to follow us out the door, or at least keep me from leaving. One of them managed to scrape my left arm. Talk about jealous.
We were waiting for John to get a cab over, as we all were talking. "Lauren, is your arm alright? I noticed that some of the girls got rough with you," Paul said concerned of me.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I replied looking at my arm. It was bleeding a bit and a little swollen. Then, I covered it with my hand so no one would worry.
"Really? Then why are you covering it with your hand?" John asked being nosy. He looked back to the streets to get a cab to take us back to the hotel.
"I always do this," I replied.
"Not when you have shopping bags with you," Ringo s

Paul looked over to see if I was ready, but I was still thinking about what the boys had said just moments earlier. Then he waved and I finally noticed it was time to start. I nodded back as I counted the band off. "188.8.131.52.1.2.3!" I did a double hit on the snare and floor tom to begin the song. The crowd was surprised how I nailed it perfectly.
From the side of the stage, Brian looked furious about how I disobeyed his order. Steam was practically spewing out of his ears. We were definitely in for a long lecture later. Yet we didn't really care, we were just enjoying ourselves too much.
John and Paul sang in perfect unison as usual while George was moving around playing his guitar. Ringo was watching everyone else, in deep thought. He had a tiny smile on his face, so I assumed everything was fine. I noticed that quite a few girls in the couple front rows got super duper pissed at me when George looked back in my direction and we exchanged silent laughs. Just wait until they find out th

It's a good thing we left early because by the time we arrived, the place was filled with screaming Beatle maniacs trying to meet their future 'husbands'. Luckily, some of the policemen managed to keep them back. We snuck in through the back of the place, dragging in all the equipment behind us. Trust me, not fun, especially when you practically have a death by cymbal.
Paul and John carried cases which held their guitars. The two walked through the door first, followed by Ringo. He was carrying the snare drum and ride cymbal. I was right behind him helping out by lifting an amp. George was last, with another one of Ringo's cymbals.
Being in between the two of them kind of frightened me. George leaned forward to taunt me. "Don't drop the amp, Laur." He gave a slight grin, baring his tiny fangs. Neither of the boys could see this, but my cheeks got a little red.
I turned to him walking through the doorway. Then I commented, "I won't! Ow!" I hit the cymbal he was hauling with my head. Tot

The next morning, I woke up early in my hotel room, fully rested and refreshed. I did a quick stretch; then got out of my bed. Getting dressed, I grabbed some casual wear from my suitcase. I was wearing a maroon colored, short sleeved shirt. On the shirt was this logo of a designer company. I chose to match it with a pair of black corduroy pants. Very casual. After that, I briefly straightened my hair in the bathroom. I've got to look at least somewhat decent when going down to the lobby to get breakfast.
When I reached the lobby, I bought a newspaper that came out today. Guess what the top story was? "New talent along with the Fab Four" aka me! It was great! I couldn't wait to show Ringo. Basically, it was about how I'm traveling with the Beatles and why. Now back to what was going on. I headed to the café that was within the hotel. There I snatched some chow for breakfast, taking the bag back up to my room.
On the way back to the room, I somehow ran into George in the hallway. "

What would you do if your biggest role models in the whole world invited you to go to the U.S.A with them? Beg your parents to let you go of course!!
As soon as I woke up on February 7th, 1964 (the next morning), I was pleading to my mother to let me go with Ringo and the others. She thought I was hallucinating, that I had a dream or something. She was cooking breakfast when I brought up the subject again. "Please Mom? Please Please Me and allow me to go to the U.S! I'll be super careful, calling you everyday! They have protection from the police, so I'll be safe."
"Lauren, stop being so ridiculous; I highly doubt The Beatles would invite a 15 year old girl to the U.S with them. You are way too young for them anyway." She disagreed, returning back to getting the toast out of the toaster.
"Just trust me Mom! I went to their concert yesterday and they even let me play with them! They are probably going to pick me up sometime this morning. You'll believe me then," I said taking my chances

We've been on the plane for over two hours, and half the people here are asleep, including Ringo. Haha. I knew that because he was resting on my shoulder. It was so cute. Back to the topic here, everyone was pretty content. Paul and George were at the round table playing cards. John and Brian were talking about upcoming plans once we arrive in the U.S. As you already know, Ringo was asleep on my shoulder, while I was drawing on my sketch pad.
Eventually, one of the reporters got up to go to the bathroom. She had short reddish hair, and glasses. She was wearing a business uniform. As she walked down the aisle, she noticed me. "Having fun with Ringo there?" She giggled.
"Huh?" I blushed a bit, "Oh, no. He just fell asleep on my shoulder is all." For all I know, she could be making a front page article on how I seduced Ringo or something. That's just what I need, not.
"Oh alright," she laughed. Then she looked down, seeing what I was up to. "Whoa, that's some artwork! Mind if I get a pict

I was running as fast as I could, trying to make my way to the concert in time. Crowds were swarming around The Cavern. The Beatles were back in Liverpool playing some of the songs from their first album before heading to the U.S and every girl alive was going to see them. Who was I you ask? I was one of those girls. The name is Lauren. I'm a fifteen year old blond hair, blue-eyed artist who likes to drum. I was wearing a blue, three quarter sleeve v-neck with some denim shorts. Around my neck was an engraved necklace that matched my bracelet. I had a little bag hanging on my arm, which held my sketch pad, drumsticks, and other things.
Ever since my step father introduced me to music, I've been hooked on Beatlemania. Fortunately, I'm nowhere near as crazy like those other fans.
Being the smart girl I am, I managed to sneak in. I tagged along behind a group of really inappropriately dressed women. Luckily, I wasn't noticed. No one was allowed in unless you are over 21. Anyway, once insi

When we arrived at the restaurant, you could tell it was fancy. It had tons of decorations and froufrou things all over the place. We walked inside, trying our best to ignore the press racing up to us, well them. There was no wait, so we were quickly seated at a table. It had drapes hanging of it, along with glasses and a candle on top. Besides us, there weren't too many other people there. Cynthia Lennon and Liz (the reporter) were there. At least I had someone to talk to.
"Aren't you going to introduce me John?" Cynthia asked as we sat down at the table. She was wearing a dark green, casual looking dress. Cynthia had blond colored hair and was taller than me, just like everyone else. That's what happens when you're fifteen.
John was confused for a second then realized what she meant. "Oh yes! This is Lauren. She is an artist and a remarkable drummer." He nudged over closer to whisper, "Better than Ringo I say."
She chuckled; then held her hand out to say, "Hello Lauren, it's ve

Returning to the hotel for the night, I took a shower, putting my now bloody blouse in the washer machine a few rooms down. My entire body ached, especially my cheeks and arms where those crazy girls got at. After I had turned the water off, I stood there for a moment trying to relax from all the craziness. I've only been here for no more than a week, yet I've been through so many things. "Oh boy," I began talking to myself, "I don't know how much more I can take of this."
All dressed with my damp blond hair wrapped in a towel, I walked out of the bathroom. There was Caroline, my new roommate, sitting on her bed. It was a foot or two away from mine. She sat there brushing her long locks, wearing a polka dot nightgown and pants. Paul had invited her to stay with us as we continued the U.S tour. So now I have someone to talk to besides those crazy men. "More of what," She asked curiously.
Realizing what I had just said accidentally, I instantly responded with, "Oh nothing!" She knew that

You know how girls go all crazy obsessive over Justin Bieber? Well, if he was actually born in this time it would be nothing compared to what the Beatles had to deal with. We were nearly running for our lives, especially me. You know what's worse then running for your life? Getting mauled by Beatlemaniacs when they find out you're not chasing the Beatles. That would be the next headline of the New York Times: Mauled by Beatlemania, the new talent is no more.
The group was running for blocks; more than I could count. I got so tired that I had to stop for a moment. That's when the malicious fangirls almost got me. So being quick on his feet, George turned around grabbing my arm, "Come on!" He then ran with me, catching up to the rest of the boys.
"Are you okay, Lauren? You're not hurt are you?" Ringo asked huffing and puffing as he ran.

"Okay, everyone smile!" A woman shouted as she was about to take a group photo. The group smiled while she clicked the camera a few times. Everyone was in some form of row (Caroline and I in the middle, with Ringo and Paul on the out side of us, followed by John and George on the edges of the line). After that, John just about had enough with pictures, so we decided to take a break. Paul found a spot near a big oak tree, laying down a blanket. The rest of us sat down to eat what Caroline had packed us.
"Holy crap, Caroline! This is amazing!" John exclaimed. "Paul, you never told me this bird could make food!" The satisfied boy then continued to munch down on his lunch.
Once he swallowed what was in his mouth, Paul replied. "She's quite the cook, ain't she?" He looked at Caroline happily as she beamed at the compliment.
"Thanks," she began, "I'm working at becoming a chef for when I get a bit older." Caroline got out her soda and took a sip. Then she put it down to finish eating.

How do people work with trains for a living? Because if you're not keeping yourself occupied, you are bored out of your frickin mind. We've only been on the train for about two hours. For most of the time we were talking or in our "rooms" but after a while there's not much you can do besides sitting at a table and watch the scenery go by. Not even sketching can keep you sane forever.
Alright, so Ringo and I have still been sitting on the couch that I mentioned before, being all lovey dovey and all. The other love birds got Brian's permission to go get some drinks from some train attendants. That's probably not the only thing they were doing, hint hint. Just kidding. John was fast asleep at the moment, the newspaper on top of his face. George was strumming on his guitar a bit. I noticed he was playing the tune that he wrote me, but everyone else assumed it was just random chords. Then there was Mr. Epstein who was talking to reporters and photographers that tagged along, which probably

The young waitress entered her apartment, throwing her jacket onto the couch and plopping on a chair. She had a long day, filled with tons of John Lennon. Who would've thought that someone so ordinary such as her would have caught the eye of any one of the Beatles, she wondered. This girl took out the small paper which John have given her that had his hotel number written upon it. She was curious to see if this boy would actually call her or not.
He did. It was around 4pm or so when her telephone rang. The young woman got up from her chair in order to grab the phone. "Hello?" She greeted shyly.
"Megan? Is that you, my dear? I hope this isn't a bad time," John replied. Some of us were in his hotel room with him at the time, which Megan could hear. It was mainly me who was talking though, because I was scolding John for cheating on Cynthia like this.
Megan got nervous as she responded, "Oh, n-no. It's fine. Why do you ask, J-John?" She was resting against the wall as she twirled the phon

Ohh the joys of traveling on a train. the quietness, the bordum, watching millions of trees and buildings pass. It's just SO wonderful, if you were 64.
Okay, if you hadn't already guessed, trains are not fun, especially when you're the first one up in the morning. It doesn't help when you're bored out of your mind either. I was basically just spending my morning in the main car, eating breakfast as i watched the sun rise.
Even though it was quite quiet, it gave me time to go through everything in my head. A number of things have happened since I've met the Beatles just over a week ago. Performing in shows, getting chased and almost killed by fangirls, shopping in New York, getting the cold shoulder from George, the plane ride to the U.S of A, and sooo much more. It was completely crazy.
Even more insane that two of the four famous Beatles were fighting over me...

Everyone that was in the limousine that night had been allowed to go backstage before the show and hang out. The Beatles were preparing themselves for their performance as the ladies and Epstein were chatting away. We were in the dressing room as the boys adjusted their ties, and buttoned their jackets. The was tons of commotion about the place. People running with equipment, fans screaming in anticipation for their favorite band; the whole shebang.
The dressing room was quite large. It was filled with a variety of clothing for all kinds of occasions. It contained large mirrors that were just above tables that held types of hair products and makeup. Besides that, black leather chairs and couches laid about the room, highlighted by the bright lights.
"John! You're hair is all messy," Megan pointed out, standing behind him as he prepared himself. She seemed nervous still, her legs wavering slightly. Cautiously, she patted down some of the unbridled strands of hair on his head. Her date s

I followed Brian Epstein along with the other girls and reporters. We casually exited the front entrance of the train, though i almost got my blue, jean jacket caught on the railing. Thank god it wasn't my white dress-like top or my Capri's. Oh boy. Luckily Caroline gave me a hand and assisted me.
"You're such a klutz, Lauren," she laughed as her ocean colored dress waved in the breeze. She took hold of my hand, helping me down the rest of the steps. I fixed the necklace and the ring that were given to me by two of the four Beatles.
I waved my hand at her. "Ohh psh. I am not." We both then looked over to see Brian and the others still walking. "Come on, lets go before someone notices us." I worried that it would turn into the incident after the Ed Sullivan Show a few days back.
"Alright, lets go." We grabbed a hold of our few pieces of luggage and calmly began moseying on over to where everyone else was. I soon realized that some girls kept on glaring at me, for reasons unknown. I was

Paul murmured sweet things in George's ear when he was rudely interrupted by the telephone.
"That's probably John again," Paul sighed. "When can he take the hint and just leave us alone?"
"He's calling us on purpose," George scowled. "Don't answer..." He took Paul's chin and slowly turning it to face him.
"I got to answer," Paul said. He gave a quick peck on George's nose and wrestled out of the bedsheets to pick up the phone off the nightstand.
George watched Paul talking on the phone shirtless, wearing plain grey sweatpants. His backbone was shiny with sweat. George loved how grungy Paul looked this afternoon. It made him crawl over toward the bass player and started kissing his shoulder blades.
"For the millionth time, John, I'm not coming over! I'm with George now," Paul was saying on the phone. He was trying very hard to keep his cool but John wasn't listening.

Jane came back from the kitchen with the telephone in her hands. She wanted John to call his wife Cynthia to let her know what happen. "She doesn't have to find out," John said, but he took the phone anyway. As Jane pulled the washcloth off his head, she noticed how bright John's eyes were; comical almost. What has got him in a humorous mood? She wondered. The fact of telling Cynthia he was smothered to death by his true-blue fans or keeping the whole thing a secret?
"Hello, it's me," John greeted the minute his wife spoke on the phone. "No, no, everything's fine... Yes, I know I missed today's session..."
Jane decided not to eavesdrop any further and left John alone in the parlor. At the bathroom sink, she put the washcloth under warm water and rinsed it out. Then she emptied the bowl and stared back at herself in the mirror. You weren't good enough for Paul, she heard a small voice say. He'd rather fool with guys than with you. Not just one particular guy... A musical genius.

John was barely awake when he heard the screaming,
"SWEET BABY JESUS! WHO ARE YOU?"
His eyes shot open to see a blurry, African-American woman in a housemaid's dress standing two feet in front of him. The look on her face mixed with horror and disgust. John never met anyone like her in his life. He realized he wasn't home in bed with Cynthia. Judging by the teddy bear wallpaper and the porcelain dolls that were sitting high on wooden shelves, John had slept in a girl's bedroom. How the hell did that happen? He couldn't remember anything last night. Well, he remembered talking to Paul. Dear, sweet Paul. But John couldn't remember meeting a girl. He didn't know her name or what she looked like.
The woman shouted, "DARLENE! DARLENE!"
"Ma'am, if you could just calm down for two seconds..." John sat up in the strange bed and pulled the pink bedsheets off him. He was only wearing boxers... Thank god for that.

Paul let out a long growl of frustration, "John, get the fuck out!"

Girls flung themselves onto the moving limo and pounded their fists hard on the windows. Some were yanking the silver door handles trying to get in. Their screams were loud and earsplitting. Paul and George were watching them in the backseat. Ringo was smiling and waving in the middle seat. Their driver wore a grim expression on his face while steering the car with two gloved hands. Beatles' manager, Brian Epstein, sat in the passenger seat and reached inside his jacket pocket to pull out a capsule of painkillers for his throbbing headache.
"How far are we to the Albert Hall, Brian?" Ringo turned his head away from the screaming girls.
"Hang on, we're almost there," Brian said. He popped two white pills in his mouth and reached for his water between his legs.

"You're welcome," Jane replied, nervously tucking a strand of hair behind one ear. She could feel Paul's eyes watching her.
"Great, you have your lighter," George scowled. "Are we going to play anytime soon?"
"Not with you," John murmured.
"Yeah, let's practice already!" Ringo exclaimed.
John kissed the lighter a few times before putting it back in his jacket pocket. "Jane, you'll watch us, right?" he said.

George squeezed one of Martha's chew toys (a pink rubber bone), letting out a sharp squeak. The Old English Sheepdog cocked her head to one side but didn't move from her laying spot in the middle of the kitchen. George, who was upstairs in the bedroom, squeezed the bone a second time. This squeak was much louder and made Martha hustle her way into the parlor, up the stairs, and through the hallway to the bedroom.
"There you are," George smirked. He loved playing with Paul's pet whenever he got the chance to. Martha was such a cuddly, good dog. She barely barked at people or other dogs. She loved getting her ears scratched and her belly rubbed.
Martha padded directly to George with her tongue hanging out and tail wagging happily behind. George offered the bone and watched her wet nose sniff several seconds before clutching one end of the bone with her teeth.
