! Commission Information ! [Update 2013].:: (CONTRACT) COMMISSION INFO ::.! Commission Information ! [Update 2013]5 years ago in Personal More Like This
Okay, it's been 4 years i haven't updated my commission info.
I thought it's time for a change. As you all know, ever since i've graduated from University, i haven't had any luck in getting to a gaming studios/company or industries, so technically, i'm not a full time artist working in a studio. At the moment, i've been doing a lot of freelance works from other clients (professional or not). So this is where i've been getting my money since.
And i NEED money. Through out the years, a lot of people have been telling me
that i've been dramatically improving, and it's time for me to enhance the pricing
of my commissions. And i've been thinking, if this is what i will do for a living then i'd have to change all this, professionally-wise.
>> This is a contract job, so when i agree to do your work, it will be FINISHED! <<
The only types of art that i won't do are: (personal preference)
Commissions (CLOSED INDEFINITELY!!!)General InformationCommissions (CLOSED INDEFINITELY!!!)3 years ago in Personal Journal More Like This
I reserve the right to display all finished commissions in my online portfolio. (I may make an exception if we both initially agree to keep the work offline for the sake of privacy, i.e. for portraits of children.) I also reserve the right to decline a commission request for any reason, and the right to adjust the price of a commission (before invoicing) if I deem it necessary.
If for any reason I cannot complete your commission after you've paid, you will receive a full refund, regardless of how much work I've already done. I will also honor any requests for a full refund of your deposit/payment at any time during the commission waiting period, as long as I have not begun any work beyond a basic sketch.
I prefer to be paid by Paypal. I can also potentially take credit card payments through my website if we discuss it beforehand. There may be a small amount added to the invoice to help cover any transaction fees.
CritStop 03 - Art school vs self teaching?Greetings Concepteez!CritStop 03 - Art school vs self teaching?8 months ago in Art Features More Like This
Apologies for missing out on the CritStop last week. I was at a weekend long concept-design workshop which didn't leave me with much time to do a post.
I might run down some of the things we did in the workshop in a future post, but this week I thought I would do something a little bit different. I have been getting quite a few queries over the last few weeks about making the choice between formal training courses such as university or college over that of self-teaching and using online resources and short courses. One of these was Nyte-Tyme who wrote:
"I mentioned before that I am currently attending a school called ------- University. So far, my first semester of a Junior year here has been bad. Art history classes (which I think are somewhat necessary) a Physics of Light and Color class. A web design class and a video and audio class which was essentially a film class after awhile. But I've been recently looking into C

CAUTION: FANART THEFTA friend of mine asked me whether I gave one of my pieces to anyone for printing this morning. I was very surprised to hear that, because most on my recent works are done for a fan art collection. Then she said she saw somebody selling my prints on a comic exhibition in Taiwan. What the @@? Selling my works somewhere even without my own acknowledge? This is so ridicules.CAUTION: FANART THEFT3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I'm stating this here since I only posted that piece here. It's not on my Chinese blog, not posted in any forums, nowhere else. It's ONLY on DA. So, you know what I mean. It must be someone visiting Deviant Art who happened to open my page.
I don't know what the situations are like in other countries, but in Asia, it's so common that people sell their fan art prints on comic exhibition, sharing their recreation of those beloved characters. It should be a friendly and hilarious environment, but it's the artists who present their works, or at least give permission to someone else. Selling other's art without saying a wor
How to get noticed on deviantART!:faq56:How to get noticed on deviantART!9 months ago in Deviant Events More Like This
I've had many people ask me this question so I'm going to elaborate the best I can.
As the FAQ above states, to get far on deviantART you HAVE to give feedback to get it. It's almost virtually impossible for you to get noticed without doing any of that. I learned that after a year of being here.
This is something that you will have to do in your dA lifetime in order to find your inspirations and be able to learn new techniques. When on the front page of deviantART it's probably the most diverse amount of artwork you'll see! Ranging from pixels to sculptures, tattoos to anime to poems, there has to be at least one that can catch your eye! There are millions of deviants here and even more submissions! Try searching for artworks that please you. You can even have a randomized search by using stuff like the random d
