Dick rolls his eyes, trying to emulate Batman’s utter stoicism as the Batmobile rumbles on through the night. The road to Arkham is icy and treacherous at this time of year, so they aren’t hurtling along as usual. It is taking forever.
Behind him in the backseat, Riddler and Scarecrow continue to gripe at each other like children.
“If you hadn’t left a riddle we wouldn’t—”
“Of course I left a goddamn riddle, are you kidding? Why would you team up with me in the first place if you were so certain—”
“I honestly don’t know. I honestly do not know why I would put up with you for three weeks just for those damned notes—I could’ve just paid someone to br
On The Train (Riddler/Scarecrow, Hogwarts!AU) Eddie shifted in his seat, excitement and some form of delicious terror pumping through his entire body. Magic. He was going to go to a special school to learn magic. And far away, too. Far from Gotham, far from his father and his anger for almost a year. It felt almost too good to be true. He pushed his heavily-taped glasses back up his nose, fidgeting with the hem of his overlarge t-shirt.On The Train (Riddler/Scarecrow, Hogwarts!AU)3 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
That was another thing, he realized. He wouldn’t have to wear his father’s old clothes anymore. For the first time in forever, he’d wear things that fit.
A soft tapping on the compartment door jerked him out of his thoughts. He turned, pushing ginger hair out of his eyes, to see a tall, scrawny boy standing nervously in the doorway.
“Oh, um,” the boy muttered, a vaguely southern accent obvious in his words, “This is usually empty…”
Disruption (Riddler/Scarecrow, Hogwarts!AU) “Hey, Jonathan.”Disruption (Riddler/Scarecrow, Hogwarts!AU)3 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
The words fade into existence in the margin of his enchanted notebook, emerald green and dripping with mischief. He looks up, over the heads of all the others taking notes from the blackboard, McGonagall lecturing away—totally oblivious to the brewing storm. Edward isn’t hard to spot, his bright ginger hair flaming out amid muted brown and black and blond. He’s grinning.
“Whatever you’re thinking of doing, don’t,” Jonathan scrawls in the space where Nigma’s message has just been. The words fade into the parchment within seconds. He doesn’t dare look over again, can only wait for the next message.
Jonathan fumes silently.
“I will not. I don’t want to witness whatever you’re planning.”
The Common Room (Riddler/Scarecrow, Hogwarts!AU) The Slytherin common room feels strangely like home. At least, Jonathan assumes this is what ‘home’ feels like. A place that feels comfortable, familiar, almost even safe. He sighs, staring into the fire for a moment before returning to the letter in his hands. The Common Room (Riddler/Scarecrow, Hogwarts!AU)3 years ago in Romance More Like This
“Why?” Edward asks. Jonathan doesn’t jump, he’s felt the ginger there for the last few minutes. He hadn’t expected the question but he supposes he really should have. Not because he knows what the hell Edward is talking about but because it’s in his nature to question.
“Why what?” He sighs, not looking up from the words he’s finally forced himself to write. Edward’s pale, delicate hand rests on his shoulder as the younger boy leans over to see it.
“Why do you still write to her? Jason doesn’t.”
“I don’ care what Jason does,
Acceptance. Twiddler. 2.Edward looked around as Harvey led him into the house, he'd never been in a student house before, his dads was rather close to his college, so he'd not even bothered to look at them. Things at home had always been bad, but since he came out he'd been scared to so much as leave his room while his father was home.Acceptance. Twiddler. 2.1 year ago in General Fiction More Like This
He was just... so disrespectful, and violent, he could barely stand it.
His father had been physically abusive before, but he’d never cut him, never left a wound this bad.
"So what happened," Harvey asked as they walked into the kitchen, his eyes fixed on the small spot of blood on Edward's collarbone that stretched down underneath his loosened binder.
Edward shrugged, lifting his arms to cross them over his chest, trying to hide the extent of the damage, "Oh, me and my dad got in a fight, that's all."
"That's abuse you know..?" Harvey said, still frowning, "You could get him put away for doing that."
Edward bit his lip and shook his head, "I couldn't..."

Almost Human - Chapter 7: RealityBruce couldn't help but to stand in the hallway staring incredulously at the clown through the doorway. The Joker, Gotham's most infamous villain, the Caliph of Clowns, the White Duke of Death, the Ace of Knaves, the Harlequin of Hate, the Clown Prince of Crime and all those other aliases that evoked fear in the hearts of the citizens of Gotham, the man that held proudly to those stage names was in his pajamas watching reruns of old Looney Tunes cartoons. Joker tried to control his laughter but folded over in strained but lively laughter. He caught sight of the vigilante who was staring at him by the door and smiled.Almost Human - Chapter 7: Reality2 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
"Hey didn't hear you come in Batsy. Come on in, take a load off, it's so nice of you to visit darling," he grinned as Batman slowly walked in with an expression of disbelief.
"Joker you're – watching cartoons?"
"What? Is there something wrong with that?" he answered back as he laid his eyes back to the television.
"And how old are you?" the knight questioned sarcasti
Forced. (5) Batman and Joker. The two ‘villains’ had left Batman alone to clean himself up and look over the plans for the device, although he wasn’t really sure what it was for, it looked like some kind of disrupter.Forced. (5) Batman and Joker.2 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
He was unsure about taking his cowl off while he washed; maybe Riddler was the only person he’d told.
He felt safer with his cowl on.
He washed himself and re-dressed, Riddler said the others would be here in 2 hours, that gave him two hours to re-learn what was going on. Thankfully there didn’t seem to be too much, he was sure he could do it.
He stepped out of the bathroom, finding himself pinned by a pair of bi-coloured blue and yellow eyes. “Harvey?” he questioned.
The shorted man stared up at him, “You almost got your self killed, Bruce,” he said gruffly, pulling Batman into a tight, and confusing, embrace.
Batman swallowed; Harvey had never known who he was, how must he have reacted when he found out?
“Harvey,” he said again,
