What are they? They're crackled glass marbles that have been encapsulated in a little cage of chainmaille. At the moment, they can ONLY be done in a silver cage, as I only carry silver in those sizes.

Those are the three current colours of marbles I have - cobalt blue, clear, and fire swirl (clear with orange and white twists).

What makes these so cool? The glass of the marbles has been heat treated so that the inside of them has fractured and created a stunning crackled look, while leaving the outside of the marble smooth and complete.

I'll be uploading close ups of these next!

As to the name? Bah, they look like Holocrons to me, and I'm a Star Wars geek, so I just can't help it. XD

And here's the green version. :)

This is one of those new things I was promising, and kept forgetting to upload.

What you see here is a CIR tube of maille in which I have placed a glass vial of glow in the dark/black light powder. It glows quite brightly!

The low light pic is with no black light interference--that's just how bright the damn thing glows. In black light, it's like a beacon.

It's about 1.75 inches long. (4cm)

Want one? I have blue and green glow powder currently. I'll be open for commissions again in late April/early May, but since these are tiny, I'll make them anyway for people, even when I'm closed.

I'll be posting a listing in my etsy shop so they can be purchased directly. Watch my journal for the link.

Design inspired from another artist (I can't remember the name, I just have the pic saved. :( The glow aspect is something I came up with, though, to make it actually look more like a Lantern)

Had the urge to draw this yesterday... now I just need to think of a proper background.

I plan on something with acrylics to add texture to it.

:phew: Finally done!
I think Yoite is one of my most complicated dolls because of his coat with all his details.
But I think he's one of the most beautiful dolls I've made ^________^
And yes, I know his hair is more black than anything else, but more black on this doll and I would have died ^^

I work on Miharu at the moment, but he wont be ready before next week. We still have contruction workers here, I need yarn I don't get until sunday and I have to make a little Mother's Day gift.
I hope Yoite can stay so long without Miharu ^^

Edit: Changed the pic...I forgot Yoites blush

New sculpt for the week of 1/12/10. One of a kind polymer clay fantasy sculpture by Nicole West.

So, I've decided that I'm going to try more unconventional pieces this year. I'll still do what I'm known for, but I'm going to throw more curveballs.

This piece is utterly inspired by this gorgeous painting:
