Also, PCBC is over, sadly. I, and many others, loved it so.
I have to agree with the crit I've recieved from the judges, there are so many things that I need to improve on and their constant feedback is always appreciated!
I can safetly say that there has been major improvements in my grammar and some anatomy, thought they can still be pushed further.
Though, I was kind of sad that MikeMoroney couldn't fully finish his entry. This was the last round so I was kind of hoping they'd extend it again for him, but alas.
But yes, it was fun.
See you in IPL!
But for now, back to contracts and comissions!

We spent about two hours there with one of their story artists, Adrian Molina. *u* Although the first 30 minutes we just all sat and talked and ate delicious burritos underneath a gorgeous painting from Toy Story 3.
Then he looked at my portfolio, which he liked quite a bit. He said I was twice as good as he was at my age, but I ought to loosen up my figures. Then he looked at my sketchbook, which he was super impressed with. He said I should just make my portfolio look more like my sketchbook, and I'd be a shoe-in at CalARTs. xD So that was super cool! He's super nice and says to email him with his portfolios or any art or questions and he'll give me suggestions. c:
After lunch he showed us a little bit of the studio (although we weren't allowed anywhere with actual work going on, which was too bad). But I got to see TONS of concept work for Brave, which looks pretty cool! I can't really disclose any info about it obviously, but it definitely looks a little better a
ATalkHappy Easter everyone! I feel like... I just want to talk today. Because I think there's things I've learned and feel and think that sometimes I just want to say.ATalk4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Let's start with stories.
What I find great about any form of storytelling is how honest it is. There is no other form of shared knowledge that can teach us how to live our lives better. None. That being said, we see stories in everything. We look at a tree with a fence grown into it, and think of when the fence must have been built, who may have built it, etc. We see a couple arguing on the street and ponder as to what could have gotten them to this point. We hear a snapping twig in the woods, and plan our escape route from whatever magnificent beast lurks in the brush! As human beings, we LOVE stories. But why?
We love stories because they teach us how to live. Think about any good movie, book, or other story. It should have moved you in some way. Some stories teach us how to deal with the intense hardship

Wacom Horror Warning peopleI realized i just been living in a lie. Been coloring with the wrong icc profile for almost 6 years. Its because all this time i had a secondary monitor like 8 years old that ive never notice it. I just bought recently a cheap and amazing monitor 23 inches aoc, and noticed that my cintiq tablet colors looked washed away.Wacom Horror Warning people3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I asked myself why all my drawings in deviant art dont look like in my cintiq, they look washed away or burned.
Because of two problems.
I have all my files in adobe 1998 icc, which its good for printing but not web browsing, but the most horrible one, its that the cintiq21ux.icc that came in my cd was really wrong. Got the correct one in a wacom europe page, my cintiq its first generation, so new drivers sucked hard doesnt work.
Also warning for those that have same old cintiq like me, new drivers screw up the pen, cuts the pressure in half or gives weird pressure to it-, and worst ive been coloring with pen pressure wrong and color really bad.
I had been coloring bli

You come home from school one day. You've had yet another horrible day. You're just ready to give up. So you go to your room, close the door, and take out that suicide note you've written and rewritten over and over and over You take out those razor blades, and cut for the very last time. You grab that bottle of pills and take them all. Laying down, holding the letter to your chest, you close your eyes for the very last time.
A few hours later, your little brother knocks on your door to come tell you dinners ready. You don't answer, so he walks in. All he sees is you laying on your bed, so he thinks you're asleep. He tells your mom this. Your mom goes to your room to wake you up. She notices something is odd. She grabs the paper in your hand and reads it. Sobbing, she tries to wake you up. She's screaming your name. Your brother, so confused, runs to go tell Dad that "Mommy is crying and sissy won't wake up."
Your dad runs to your room. He looks at yo

Art StylesThis is not some journal about personal woes. I just want to talk briefly about some attitudes towards realistic (and other) art styles that I've come across that... It just kinda seriously bothers me that people think that way about me and other people and themselves.Art Styles1 year ago in Personal More Like This
So here it is; Drawing realism does not equal elitism.
I don't draw realistically because I think it makes me better than other people and I don't know anyone else who does either. I draw realistically because I like drawing that way. Because I'm very particular about details and drawing little tiny details makes me ridiculously happy. It's just how I like to draw.
It doesn't make me better than you or anyone else.
I don't think any of you are below me because you draw anime/manga or cartoon styles. More power to you because I tend to struggle with it, honestly.
And if we all drew the exact same way, all our art would be the same and it would be boring as hell.

What doesn't kill you makes you strongerI just went back and read some of the horrible comments I've received from people in the past. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger4 years ago in Personal More Like This
I remember how hurtful it was and how much I wanted to just dissapear from it all. I felt helpless and hopeless.
The internet can be a terrible place.
When people aren't accountable for what they say they feel a certain sense of power. The ability to judge others without being judged ourselves is a position of immense dominance. It's exhilarating to exercise that dominance over another person.
But now, looking back, I realize that it doesn't bother me anymore. I don't even bother hiding, deleting or responding to those comments because it just doesn't bug me. I feel a resounding "eh",
I keep those comments up so that people can see the kind of behaviour that people reduce themselves to when they're behind a computer screen. Every "this is shit" or ""he" is just a dyke and a "she"" has meaning to me now. It means that I've overcome something that I never would have thought possible. I'm not hu

Because voting is over and I just checked where my shirt design is ranking and I'm not just top 50 anymore, I'm in the top 30!! :iconbrohugplz:
So thank you to everybody who featured me and helped promote my shirt, I'm so happy that I even made it this far- it's incredible!
I'll be making chibis for all who featured it- but I need to do commissions first, there's a huge line up forming!
BUT AGAIN, thank you
ALSO FFFFFFFFFFFFF I was working all day on this drawing and a dump I was putting together and accidentally exited SAI without saving it :iconraegplz:
Being humanI like being a human. I think I would remain a Homo sapiens even if I could choose any animal to be... but there are a couple things I don't like about it.Being human2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I think what I hate most about our modern human life is the concept of time being chopped into blocks, like hours, days, weeks etc. Days do not really have names. It gives me claustrophobia to have that calender grid laid out, covering my past AND already covering my future! It is my own, pristine untrammeled future! Keep that stupid concept of time off of it!
No way to escape it.
AND my ticking clock is sitting here, chomping up time in little bites like- like PAC MAN ... argh!
That, and I wish we had tails.
What do you NOT like about living life as a human?
Yes, of course , there's the problem that humans seem to be genetically wired to hate and massacre each other for no good reason, but I'm talking about more mundane things about physically or mentally living your life

SOOOO anyway I'm finally able to work on stuff this summer, and I'm going to need to because right now I'm planning on selling at Florida Supercon with my best friend. I'm going to be making prints and stuff, taking commissions, and selling my perler bead crafts. I'm planning on making lots of coasters of popular stuff, as well as another surprise which I'm not going to talk about yet
Anyway, I'll keep everyone updated as to what I'm going to be selling once I get everything planned out. It's probably not going to be until after this academic year (MAY 3 *___*)
If anyone has any request or suggestions of characters/games/etc. to draw and make prints of let me know. I do take considerations very seriously.

I have a question1. idea :iconred-weasal:I have a question4 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've been thinking about this for a while that's why I haven't been online much.......... Would anyone like to be in a massive parody of Homestuck . If I were to make it I would have to have a large cast (if you have a fursona or anything like that you can use that, its optional) just because I would want it to be something where a lot of people would be able join in and for it to change and develop as people put in there ideas. For a tittle I was leaning towards HomeLand and for the game, it would be a hacked version of Suburb beta called Supreme. The fursonas would be sort of like the trolls but would live on earth and would probably have more than just 12. I wont say anymore than that so others can add on as this moves around.
If you like this idea, post it as your journal and tell your friends, spread this around.
also I have a tumblr, its stupid but i live on tumblr now http://technocaster.tumblr.com/ you d
