UPDATE: So, this is the final version and now you know the third charakter is Kahlen :) I've to say she was the main reason why I've watched the first season.

At first I wanted to call it "Darken Rahl and his women" :D

And I'm truly sorry it took me so long, I really have a guilty conscience because of that. I try to update more often in the future, but I can't promise anything.

****************

UPDATE: So, here is the second charakter, our beloved Darken Rahl :D I had more trouble with him than with Cara, don't know why.

So, who do you think will be the last charakter?

****************

I'm working on my 'Legend of the Seeker' picture again :) So far Cara is finished (although I'm not really satisfied with her ... *sigh*), but there are two more characters I want to draw which will complete this picture. You're free to guess who those characters will be :D

tools: B to 8B pencils, tortillon, eraser pencil, eraser, ordinary paper
time: no idea
size (the complete picture): 50 cm X 23 cm

What's this? No WIP? Well, I didn't make any WIPs, because I will use this picture for my skin tutorial so many people asked me about :) It's lots of work but I hope in the end you'll be happy with the result.

UPDATE: Now you can find the tutorial here.

Some facts about this drawing:
It's actor Sam Worthington, who played Jake Sully in Avatar or Marcus Wright in Terminator Salvation. I mostly decided to draw this picture, because it's perfect for my tutorial.

size: 27,5 X 18 cm
tools: you'll see in my tutorial
duration: don't know, some weeks

Enjoy!

My mother has loved the movie Edward Scissorhands since it was first released in theatres, so I was seeing this face since before my mind even began to register why there was creepy pale man with purple lips on my TV screen. In middle school I wanted to draw the movie cover, thinking his reflection in the sheers would be utterly fantastic to draw. But I decided to wait until my drawing skills improved (thank goodness) and ended up picking a different reference. I know that everyone and their mother has drawn this picture, but I thought that would be a poor reason for not using the reference I really preferred. I liked his expression - you can't really tell if he's smiling or just bemused by something. Maybe it's both.

This will be my entry for the 'Drawn to a moment' contest: link

Update: I got the first place! Thank you very much!

I used this picture as reference: link

Yay, it's finished! I had to draw quickly, because there are some changes in my life to come and I won't have much time in the next few weeks. But I'm very happy with the result :aww:

This is a scene from the movie 'Terminator Salvation'. Be aware that there are some spoiler in my (unfortunately very long) description:

In this scene John Connor (leader of the resistance) and Marcus Wright (cyborg) meet for the first time and it doesn't go very well.
I've watched the movie with two guys and both of them had trouble to tell them apart. That's why I started thinking about the resemblance.
I've heard Christian Bale was supposed to play Marcus, but was more interested in the part of Connor, so he got that role while Sam Worthington was offered the role of Marcus. That may be the reason why both of them look so similar. But for me (as a big Terminator fan) it was something more. In the beginning of Terminator 2 you can see adult John Connor planning the war, moving like a machine. I'm pretty sure that I've read or heard somewhere that this acting was on purpose, because it showed he had to be as strong and uncompromising as the machines to become such a successful leader.
So for me the resemblance is kind of a foreshadowing, even if it was unintentional. That's even more interesting in the context of the Terminator Salvation, because in this movie John tries to convince people not to attack Skynet and killing people while doing so, saying that would mean they would become as bad as the machines. But with the knowledge we have about the future in Terminator 2 someone might think that one day he will see something so horrible he loses his human touch.

The title is a quote from the movie Julius Caesar (2002) which has nothing to do with Terminator, I just think it's a good title for this picture :D

So here is the finished product for now. I'll have it sit there for a week and fix things. Not bad I guess for not picking up a pencil in 3 years. It was hard trying to get the bruises on her lip and face to look right. But I'm pretty pleased!
