wasn't meant to be.
Close your eyes and
let the nightmare
of our time together
lull you to
an endless sleep.

Between HeartbeatsWe hold in our kiss what you once called the beauty of a fading dream,Between Heartbeats5 years ago in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
The light to what seems to be a way of desperation,
Or perhaps just one to break down my seams.
Your touch calls upon my skin waves upon waves of trembling need,
Leaving me in fear of your breath-taking little smiles,
A chance to lose my mind to this consolation of love in between.
But I'm the one who has been preaching the lack of beauty in a fading dream,
Lighting the light in making our own unfading dreams,
And to perhaps hoping to fall in love somewhere in between.

it'll be silent; it'll be when nothing needs to be said because nothing could ever sum it up quite that completely. there will be that one gust of wind and the songs in the sky that would have just gotten away and it wouldn't serve any justice, poetic or otherwise. watch the world go by with me and maybe we'll never return.
take me to the top of the mountains and the bottom of the seas, dropping ghost kisses on my hair along the way. find me crystal stones and firefly dusted wonder in every ordinary thing and leave me yearning to see more. you'll be one of the few that make me feel alive, like dancing with snow-white ribbons in my hair.
you'll be the boy with moondrops between his fingers and be the stuff of romantic poetry and run-on prose fueled by true emotion. live with me in a world of artists' captured moments because 'we' in our essence will be a collaboration, a fusing like when the sunset meets the w

Dreams of me
Every night as I watch her restless sleep
In the soft bed in which she lays her head
Quietly I try not to make a peep
Until morning when she wakes from the dead
I hide from the sun when it is rising
My sanctuary I sleep and wait
To me her human form is so addicting
Having her blood lust is something I hate
I watch at night and wonder what she dreams
If it is of me and her heart I'll steal
I will wake her if it's ever of screams
Then to her I will finally be real
One night I will give her my sweet blood kiss
Her blood lust is what I will always miss

and she wanders
like a lost child
he had once told her,
to be fooled by your emptiness
there is so much
more room for
but he had ripped
out her heart,
and now she is struggling to survive
in this world, alone –
but there is a difference between
surviving and living,
and without august, oh darling august,
she has simply existed –
she is a ghost of who she was.

the murmurs left behind,
the lonely strength of men,
the evolution of goodbye.
There will be times when I tell you I can't
be a number on a list.
I was what you are, once--
the dying star of a memory--
but you must have mistaken me
I can bring your candle to glitter again,
but I can't be your oxygen.
Yes, my bed's a single--
where did you sleep last night?

You cannot use me.
I was not made simply for your pleasure.
I am not a pretty picture to be used and thrown away.
I have a heart, feelings, dreams….
I have a purpose here.
I am a human being, a person like you.
And it hurts me when you treat me as less than human.
It hurts me when I become less than a whole,
And just the sum of my parts.
It hurts me when I become just something to please you.
It hurts me when you strip away my humanity,
Even if just with your eyes and mind.
You cannot stare at me in longing.
You cannot undress me with your eyes.
You cannot force me to kiss you.
You cannot grope me as you see fit.
You cannot take advantage of me.
You cannot have your way with me.
I am not to be dominated.
I am not to be violated.
When I say no, I do NOT mean yes.
When I te

I’m not a bad person. Really, I’m not. I’m not all that different from him. From the one you call hero. I am neither good nor bad. I am made of the same stuff as him.
Your thoughts. Your words. Your will. You spun us from the same fabric; your precious protagonist and I. So why am I so different? Our thread is the same thread. Our features molded from the same clay...but then why did when he broke you fixed him?
Why is he given love? Given friends and a family? Why is he adored while I must steal what little respect I get with fear? Why do his fissures get cleaned, kissed, and sealed while mine are left to fester?
Do you think me a fool? Even children know how my story is destined to end. I seek out power. I seek out riches, fame, vengeance…I seek to destroy and to dominate. Ha! And why? Why, because you made me that way.
When you created your precious protagonist and I you may have made us out of the same materials and for the s
