Kittens are evil I tell you, its true!
With fur made of Velcro and super glue.
Their big yellow eyes are poison no doubt
And they hack and they gag til their insides are out.
They paw and they claw and they shred all your stuff,
Theyll reduce your couch to wood splinters and fluff.
They cough and they purr and they hiss and they mew,
And if you arent careful theyll scratch you up too.
But one thing so bad it can top all of that:
When a kitten grows up it turns into a CAT.
HugYou walk up to me.Hug4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I look at you like a cat that is unknowingly trying to imitate an emote.
As your approach comes to an end you put your arms out. Both going past my body on either side.
Then simply, "Hug?"
I do not comprehend this word, your intent nor punctuation.
Your arms tighten around me and your chin rests on my shoulder.
I stand there
what is this new emotion.

Warning: Only for fat Draggies
Flare awoke the next morning on his living room floor to hear voices talking over him. They werent his parents, but someone elses, and there were a lot of them. He cautiously opened one eye a crack, and instantly shut it. He was completely surrounded by animals, and not just his house pets, but wild ones as well. Flare wondered why his dogs hadnt protected him whats more the voices seemed to be coming from the animals. Josie, the most faithful of his dogs, was lying on the floor beside him. A stag was talking to her, and apparently the conversation was about him.

Or did she suffer the loss when

Did she falter when he offered
only a smile and a "we'll be happy
to take it off your hands" as condolence,
like he'd be doing a great service,
bargaining off her past.
Then "keep only what you use"
the mantra of some clutter-busting

Some time ago.
Can't say I'm sorry
To have traded the jumper
For a pair of fading jeans.
Some things I miss, though:
My mother's careful hands
working through the tangled
mess of curls,
clothes neatly pressed and starched
skillful fingers making perfect bows
of the ked laces.
Some mornings the only thing that keeps me going
is that one instruction:
"Make a loop, over and through."
The hair I've left to its own devices,
clothes haven't seen an iron in years.
I don't always sit with my legs together
or keep my elbows off the table
but one thing I got right:

Why is death always associated with sorrow? Why should it be? Look at Irish Catholics. When one of theirs dies, they leave the coffin open in the reception area, serve up lots of food & drink, & imbibe until they make righteous fools of themselves. They've got something there & we could all learn a thing or two from them. I sure have & so I've been thinking of ways to make my inevitable passing an event of merriment & good cheer. Here are a few ideas:
1. A tape player hooked up to 2 or more small speakers, with the CD player on top of the coffin & the speakers placed all around it, facing toward the mourners. It would be one of those special

Yes I hate you.
There's no doubt to it.
You ruined my life.
Now I ruin yours.
Decided to come and barge into my life.
You were fine at first,
Until I learned your goal.
To hurt me,
So you could go join your buddies,
Down at the local jail.
I hate you,
You hate me,
We hate each other,
I've never loved anything,
Never have you,
We make a pretty good team,
Never realized that.
Lets ruin this world.
Decided to accept it,
My new thought fate,
That I was soon to break.
You were a fool to trust me,
For I am a demon from hell,
I never keep a promise.
I truly hate you, I never actually thought,

Feels Like Home
I want to spread my wings and fly,
Escape beyond the clouds and sky,
Into a world of fairy tales and fantasies,
Stare around, yes, this place feels like home to me.
I want to live in a world of dreams and magic,
Where people live in peace and nothing's as tragic,
Where bunnies can talk,
And trees can walk,
Yes, this place feels like home to me.
I want to feel wanted and adored,
Where it's wrong to be perfect, and good to be flawed,
In my new land of enchantment,
Where my traits won't need enhancement,
Yes, this places feels like home to me.
I want to live here forever,
And my heart won't ever sever,

In a sheltered place, where the bitter North wind
Does not sweep the Earth and Autumn's frost lies
But light upon the ground, there, standing proud,
Once grew a tree of grace beneath the skies.
From gentle withy it grew, and green buds
Of leaf it spread to catch the morning's light
And dew. And so it grew, so prosperous
That its roots spread far, and such was its height
It dwarfed its fellows all around. The tree,
Though of great power, in one way was weak.
To sustain it, roots searched deeply and found
Deep in the ground a place where they must halt
And turn aside - the rock beneath was hard -
The roots could pry apart no seam o

Chapter 4: Wish Fulfillment
I got up and looked at the small little dragon as it shook the remains of the shattered eggshell of itself. I backed up and stepped on an old dry leaf. The dragon instantly whipped around and faced me. Our eyes locked. I wanted to turn and run, but something in the way those eyes stared at me held me firmly in place. Without warning, the dragon leaped onto me with such force that I fell over backwards. To my amazement, it did not hurt me, but began licking my face all over. Once I was thoroughly covered in drool, it got

Your shadow standing still as the thunder struck the earth
The blade clinched in your hand
Your eyes black but beautiful
Your tears and blood swirled on the floor
Your expression silent and lifeless the way the reaper left you for me to discover
I picked up the blade
I kissed your cheek and closed your eyes and carried you to the bed
I lay beside you and cried and tried to stop your bleeding

Here you are now dead, The way life robbed me of how I loved you
