Mintbreeze's Pride --- Chapter 4
"Inkspot! INKSPOT!" Mintbreeze yelled at her brother, who was now facing the fox.
Mintbreeze leered at the fox, "No, I'm going to help you!"
Inkspot looked at his sister and grinned, which was the perfect time for for the fox to leap.
"Inkspot!" She yelled, but it was too late, the orange canine had its jaws wrapped around the side of the cat's face.
He shook his head violently to throw the animal off while screaming in agony.
Mintbreeze launched herself at the duel. She clawed her way up the fox's back and stuck her thorn claws in his neck. He released her brother, who staggered away, and tried to throw Mintbreeze off. Her strong muscles kept her on top of him as she bit and scratched.
Within moments the fox ran off. Mintbreeze landed on the ground and ran to her twin.
"Are you alright?" She asked as his paws covered the black side of his face. Blood dripped onto the grass below.
"Mintbreeze, my eye." He whispered, "He bit

Mintbreeze's Pride --- Chapter 5
"I think my father is still in love with you." Mintbreeze blurted out. She felt horrible saying it, and a bad taste lingered in her mouth. Snowmint was beautiful and unique looking, of course any tom could fall for her. But why her father! Why did he have to be the first.
Snowmint nodded slowly, "Stagstar will never meet my expectations."
"Expectations?" Mintbreeze suddenly felt like she was talking to Sweetsilk.
"For him to be mine, he would have to be a Thunderclan cat."
Mintbreeze smiled at this. "You should have stayed deputy. Its obvious your loyalty truly lies with your clan." Mintbreeze now felt bad that she accused the cat of breaking up her family.
"My love lies with my mate, Sundeep, and my daughter Fawnsteps. Oh! And her future kittens. They will be related to you as well."
Mintbreeze realized that her aunt, Blisscloud's son would be the father to the new kits. Mintbreeze poked her head out of the warriors den to gaze at her cousin. Th

Mintbreeze's Pride --- Chapter 3
"This is going to be fantastic!" Inkspot yelled as they walked through the moor.
Mintbreeze smiled at her twin. He had no apprentice and spent his days on patrol hoping no Riverclan cats took their rabbits.
"Its been a while since I've felt pine and leaves under my paws!"
Inkspot was only a tny bit taller than Mintbreeze. He was leaner and more thin in the face, like his father. The dot around his eye didn't extend as far as Mintbreeze's but he had others on his body, like their mother. Mintbreeze wondered why Sweetsilk couldn't find him attractive. 'Maybe she thinks I'm ugly and she's trying to say it nicely,' she thought. She perked up as she realized that Sweetsilk had never had one-on-one time with Silverfrost.
"So Silverfrost is training Hazypaw?" Inkspot asked, almost reading her mind.
Mintbreeze nodded, "Yes, he said he had to stay behind."
As they crossed into fourtrees, Mintbreeze realized that by training Hazypaw, Silverfrost would be a

Mintbreeze's Pride --- Prologue
"Daddy! Daddy! DADDY!! DAD! DADDY!"
Stagstar turned to a small white puff frolicking around his den. The kitten beamed as she jumped around her father.
"Yes, dear?" Stagstar said, looking at the small kit curiously. 'She's usually so quiet. I wonder what's on her mind,' the leader thought.
"Um...Sootypaw said you were being a Sappyflower!"
Stagstar laughed a little, "What in Starclan is a Sappyflower?"
"Um...um...I think its a tom who is sad about a lost she-cat. But that wouldn't be you, right? You have mommy!"
Stagstar nodded to his daughter, "Yes I do have you're mommy. And I love Cloudburst a lot."
"But! But! But Sootypaw and Lightpaw have a different mommy than me!" She said confused.
"Yes, your brothers do. Their mother was Duskypath. She died many moons ago."
"Did you love her?"
Stagstar nodded once again, "Yes, I did."
The white she-cat shook her head violently. The shock of black fur over her right eye

"Geez, Hazypaw! Why can't you ever get anything right?!" Mintbreeze snapped.
The bulky young tom looked awkwardly down as his mentor stood over him.
"I refuse to believe you are a pure-blood Windclan cat. Your mother's been with a Thunderclan tom, I can smell it in your blood."
Mintbreeze turned to her bestfriend, Sweetsilk, who was training Hazypaw's sister, Rosepaw.
"Mintbreeze, that is so rude! I can't believe you would insult your cute little apprentice like that! He's trying so hard!"
Mintbreeze snorted, "He's a few moons away from becoming a warrior, and he can't even catch a rabbit! A RABBIT! Its one of the few prey that lives on the moor. Its what we survive on, Sweetsilk. If he can't catch that, then he's only good for stealing the air I breath."
Hazypaw continued to look awkwardly down, his large shoulders shifting back and forth.
Sweetsilk shrugged, "Well then! You really shouldn't be training kits if you can't be kind. H

"Snowmint? Who in Starclan is..."
Mintbreeze paused as she remembered the strickingly beautiful albino she-cat. Snowmint was the former deputy of Thunderclan and only a few seasons younger than her father.
"That's impossible! She--"
"Listen, Minty. When Rashstar was the leader of Windclan, Snowmint was a captured spy. And Stagstar fell in love with her while he was here and he helped her escape and she took Whiteburn and Blisscloud to Thunderclan."
Mintbreeze stared at her friend and then started to walk away, "Can you finish taking Hazypaw hunting? I need to confront my father."
Sweetsilk nodded, a little fast, and then went off. Mintbreeze stared at her and then began to build anger.
"How could he do this to us!" She yelled out.
"Who do what to who to you?"
Mintbreeze turned quickly to see Silverfrost watching her with a laughing on his face.
"Why are you talking to yourself?"
Mintbreeze blushed under he pelt. "Why are you eavesdropping?!"

Mintbreeze's Pride --- Chapter 8
Greenleaf began to change into leaf-fall. Mintbreeze watched the browning leaves fall to the ground at the bottom of the barn. For a few weeks she had stayed in the barn, killing the mice and rats, plumping up her once slender body. Although she had never tasted the kittypet food offered to her by the twolegs, the icy-cold water they put out was her favorite part of a hot day. Sometimes it was stealing wool from the sheep to add to their bed, with Rye. She finally felt like she was beginning a family.
Rye wanted to know if she'd like kittens, but Mintbreeze was young. She wanted to wait to name a mate and be settled.
But, then one day her old life came back to haunt her.
"Mintbreeze!" Inkspot called to his sister, who was laying in her bed.
"Inkspot!" she yelled down to him, throwing herself into his embrace. "What are you doing here?"
He half-heartedly smiled, a large patch of animal skin wrapped around his lost eye, "Stagstar is ill and wanted

Mintbreeze's Pride --- Chapter 7
Mintbreeze approached the barn at the edge of the Windclan territory. Though it wasn't quite abandoned, the white she-cat felt safe there. She walked in, dust flew up from where cows were munching on straws of hay. They payed no attention to the cat as she climbed onto the second floor. There she smelled bird and...
She looked around wildly but there was no sign of any other cats in the barn. She wondered if he lived in the twoleg nest below on the hillside, which was barely lit in the night. She could hear the twolegs meowing inside. The thought of them being a family made her feel worse. She looked around to find a mossy nest created by what seemed like the cat who lived here. She shrugged and nestled down into the warm bed, wondering who would find her in the morning.
Mintbreeze blinked open her eyes, a cat stood before her. His large bluky figure was covered in long smoky black fur. A silver ruff hugged his neck like a mane.

The white she-cat felt so exposed in the newly growing forest. The sun beat down on her coat making her shine, and her face grew hot as the rays attracted to the black on her face.
She then remembered the fox. She stopped where she was and looked around. 'Why didn't any warriors follow me out?'
"They probably wanted me to die." She thought aloud, wanting to cry.
She sat down against a tree wondering when the fox would pick her up. She heard movement expecting the orange canine but instead she smelled Windclan. Her brothers, Lightcharcoal and Sootyfoot jumped next to her. They were followed by Sweetsilk.
"Mintbreeze!" She yelled, bowling her friend over.
"Thank Starclan you're safe. We had a fox in out territory and we wanted to check on you and Inkspot..." Sootyfoot looked around, "Where is Inkspot?"
Mintbreeze explained what happened to her twin with the fox and how he's still with Thunderclan.
"Why can't we just take him to Hazelbean? Sh

Stormcry's Prophecy --- Chapter 8
"When I get my warrior name, will you be my mate?"
Stormcry stared at her apprentice in disbelief. He looked compeletely sane, and gave her a puppy-dog eyed look. He loved her. And it was painfully obvious.
"I want to be able to protect you. You've helped me learn what it is to be a warrior and I'm so grateful."
"But every mentor does that. Every mentor is supposed to teach their apprentice. I'm nothing special." Her esteem dropped as she tried to tell Splatpaw he was mistaken. No cat had ever loved her. And never could.
"You're different. Its not just that. You were made for me." He grinned at this. Stormcry fought her own mouth from doing the same.
"I can't. You heard the prophecy. You could die. I killed my mother. My father. My siblings. Bluemoon. Gustyfoot. Sunsteps...oh Sunsteps." She looked down. She missed the deputy, full of love and compassion. Now in Starclan.
"Those aren't your fault!" Solemnstar rushed over. Splatpaw saw

Stormcry's Prophecy --- Chapter 10
"Stormcry, I don't care that you mated with Solemenstar."
"You don't?" Stormcry asked, very confused. She confessed to Splatbelly what happened between her and the Thundreclan leader earlier that day, now over moon ago.
"No. It wont help our kits if they're torn between fathers. We probably wont know if they're Solemnstar's or mine. But I want to be a father to them. I never had a father and my kits deserve the best."
Stormcry cuddled up to her mate. Full of love for him, she felt like her heart would burst. She looked down as she felt a small kick. The kits were growing, and fast. Stormcry's small body could only hold them for a little over a moon and a half more.
From what she could tell, there were two. She desperately hoped that they were Splatbelly's children. He was the one who loved her, no matter what.
The clan hated the idea of Stormcry being a mother.
"I hope your mother and you shared fates." Waspfur said one day later.

Stormcry's Prophecy --- Chapter 5
The smell of blood was so intense, Stormpaw wished that she had a tail to cover her small pink nose. Waspfur ran up ahead, her beautiful pelt rippling in the breeze of the moor. The second wave of cats was about to jump into the battle. Stormpaw braced herself, for she had never been in an actual battle. She could feel Bluemoon at her side, urging her to survive.
Waspfur's war scream traveled to the camp. When Stormpaw reached the entrance, a slain cat stared at her cocked eyed, its guts pelted across the dust. She turned her head just in time to see Solemnheart scratching out one cat's eye while a white she-cat jumped on his back and aimed her claws at his shoulders.
Stormpaw flung herself awkwardly on the white cat, pulling apart her ears. The she-cat lunged at Stormpaw, but missed her by an inchworm-length. Stormpaw kicked hard and blood spurted from the white cat's neck. Jumping backwards, the cat fled the camp.

Solemnstar jumped onto high rock. "SILENCE!!!"
He jumped down and walked to Stormcry. "STOP BLAMING HER, ALL OF YOU!" He turned to her, "Don't listen to them. It's not about you. Its not you."
Her eyes were wide and watering. She wouldn't cry, but she blurted out, "What about you?!"
Solemnstar looked confused.
"Is it about me? Do you think about me? Do you like me? Is my apprentice your son?!" She said this in barely a whisper, but she was sure the whole clan heard. Splatpaw shifted awkwardly beside his mentor.
Solemnstar didn't say anything. His eyes, though young and lively, looked distant and ancient.
"Come on Splatpaw, let's go get some prey." She said this in a hiss, directed right at her leader. Her love.
Sprinting towards the entrance, Stormcry existed her camp without hesitation. Splatpaw veered off towards Riverclan territory while Stormcry aimed for Shadowclan. The forest was full of snow. Prey was so hard to find. Stormcry thou

Waspstar was busy talking to the senior warriors so Snowpaw took it upon himself to go out hunting. As he left the camp, he felt a sudden dread come over him.
Someone was following him.
It wasn't Slasher, it was actually the other apprentices. They planned to see who could make Snowpaw's pelt turn bright red. Sunpaw didn't know about this but Fogpaw, Yewpaw, and Badgerpaw wanted to see who could beat the rat out of this tom.
Before Snowpaw could think about pouncing on a nearby squirrel, Yewpaw was on top of him. Her razor-sharp fangs ripped at his pink eyes. He threw her off, her landing with a thud against a tree. Badgerpaw, the largest of the three, ran towards the skinny albino. His swiftness allowed him to slip passed the black and white cat.
Fogpaw was already at Snowpaw's throat. He let his claw rest against his neck.
"You're just not fit to be a warrior. Too bad Sunpaw wanted me to spare you. If you say anything to--"
Snowpaw jumped up suddenly, the cl

Webcatcher stared wide eyed at his half-sister.
"YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!"
She shrugged innocently. "It's not that big of a deal. I think Starclan doesn't care and might actually be okay with it..."
The tom blinked several times. His mate sitting beside his laid her tail on his shoulder.
"Webcatcher, Twineheart doesn't mean bad." The calico queen looked at her littermate. Twineheart was much smaller than Speckpetal, and more immature.
"Starclan told you it was OKAY?!" The tom was getting frustrated. He was a soon to be father...and now uncle.
"I love Lightwing. He might be my mentor--"
"HE'S THE MEDICINE CAT! YOU'RE A MEDICINE CAT APPRENTICE! You both a breaking the nobel code! You're going to be punished!"
"Ugh, you never listen." Twineheart said. "Ever since Solemnstar got sick, you've been a nervous wreck. If he dies, I'm POSITIVE, you'll be the new deputy. Stop acting like a mouse with its tail cut off."

"Beetlepaw, you will be mentored by Lightwing. I hope that his wisdom and knowledge will be passed along for generations to come."
Beetlepaw joined his sisters, Creekpaw and Fogpaw. Fogpaw and her mentor, Lostheart, stood proudly together. Lightwing needed to get a new apprentice since Twineheart was a useless medicine cat not being able to talk to other cats. She became a warrior and was surprisingly a skilled hunter.
Splatbelly and Creekpaw decided to join Lostheart and Fogpaw on battle practice.
Fogpaw sighed, "But she's bigger than me, and I have no tail--"
Lostheart laughed, "Embrace you're differences." She said, remembering something that Songweaver, the elderly queen, told her.
Fogpaw looked almost exactly like Stormcry. With less black in her pelt and more creamy tan fur. She was a lot longer, but still had short legs.
Beetlepaw and Lightwing went to work on herbs. The black apprentice mirrored his aunt, Yewfrost, almost perfectly. He h

Waspstar's Destiny --- Chapter 7
Lostpaw, Yewfrost, Splatbelly, and Snowstorm were on patrol together. Tension between Windclan had been gone for years, but the clan was still wary. Riverclan and Shadowclan were now in a small war after Shadowclan killed several cats, including Milkstar and Icesplinter. It wouldn't be long before Lichenstar of Shadowclan began looking at Thunderclan as enemies.
Lostpaw was Snowstorm's apprentice. Both social outcasts were perfect for each other. Especially in their eyes. It was blatantly obvious that Snowstorm was in love with his apprentice, who he belived to be his cousin rather than his sister. Waspstar never told Lightwing's secret.
Whenever Lostpaw sat down, Snowstorm wrapped his short tail, a trait he got from Twineheart, around his apprentice. He'd cuddle with her when she got cold, he'd lick her when she was scared. He was perfect for her.
Unfortunately, fate was against them.
Speckpetal saw this behavior. She had become a permanent
