Just a bunch of doodles of hippogriffs, I think. I always imagined them with bird-like heads, feline forelegs and horse hindlegs. Although there probably isn't a rule about exactly how they're supposed to look.

Top left one is just a falcon though.

Played around with some more exotic markings too.

Piece for ~kcravenyote of her character Niko, which was originally going to be 6 hours, and then I got carried away! I didn't intend for a full background, but I got one. I really enjoyed working on it though, it was a TON of fun. First art of 2012, yay!

Also, I got a really stellar redline critique from *dimespin on the arm closest to the viewer, and she let me draw over it to get the arm right!
