People assume that time is a strict progression of cause-of-effect...but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly ... timey-wimey ... stuff"
Doctor Who is a British science fiction television programme produced by BBC. It depicts the adventures of a Time Lord, a time travelling, humanoid alien with two hearts known as The Doctor. He explores the universe in his TARDIS, a time-and-space-travel machine that flies through the time vortex which exterior appears as a blue British police box. Along with a succession of companions, the Doctor faces a variety of foes while working to save civilisations and help ordinary people.

FAQ: A Journal of Impossible ThingsI keep getting the same questions from both Doctor Who fans and those who have no idea what's going on, so I thought I'd write a journal entry about this project. It's a bit silly to write a separate FAQ section for this, but I really need a place to link back to whenever I'm asked something about this series of drawings.FAQ: A Journal of Impossible Things5 years ago in Personal More Like This
WHAT'S A JOURNAL OF IMPOSSIBLE THINGS?
It's a dream journal featured in the Doctor Who episodes Human Nature (3x08) and The Family of Blood (3x09). In this two-parter, the Doctor rewrote his biology and became human in order to hide from the Family of Blood. The Doctor's human persona John Smith kept a journal where he wrote down and drew things he saw in his dreams, which were actually memories of his adventures as the Doctor.
The original prop journal was created by artist Kellyanne Walker and the text was provided by Paul Cornell.
SO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?
My aim is to draw my own version of the Journal. I intend to draw all

Liam Sharp was and is one of the most sought after comic artists in the business. After bursting on the scene by drawing the bestselling Marvel UK title of all time, Death Head II, he was back in America illustrating top line comics like Superman, Batman and Spiderman as well as special projects for people like Stan Winston. For anyone unfamiliar with his amazing work, his galleries can be found on deviantART. I recently got lost for an entire day perusing a single file of his Conan illustrations.

Dude- why not just take a photo and call it done! When I download a drawing like my latest eye study I get some of this, and it's a good question and one that needs to be thought through by every realist.Dude- why not just take a photo and call it done!4 years ago in Personal More Like This
"Hello, I'm doing some research (not very scientific, I just need some opinions) on photo-realism and I'd like to ask you a question if you don't mind: "why not simply take a photograph or use a 3D program"?
That's a great question and a realist has to answer this for him or herself, If copying without change, construction and re-invention, be it form a photograph or from life, then the creative process is not addressed, in this case I agree there is a useless element about it, it becomes a fundamental exercise at best. There is nothing wrong with these exercises if it improves your knowledge and skills as a technician. But if your aim is only to draw like "a photo", I'm afraid you will never attain what "art" has to offer. Also I think too many photo-realists rely on technical eye candy alone, with no

Robert Evans (PSAS), a longtime member of the deviantART community, has succeeded in making a radical artistic statement about turning artists' visions into actual realities.
Robert's pathway to actualization of his vision was facilitated by forward-thinking executives at Lexus who reached out to the creative cutting edge, to deviantART artists, for new revolutionary design ideas for the production of their 2014 Lexus IS. The Lexus IS Design Contest was born and dA's Robert Evans has come away with the prize: experiencing having his personal artistic conceptualization of how an automobile should look and roll become a real world reality. As Grand Prize Winner, the new Lexus built to Robert's design was debuted at the SEMA auto show in Las Vegas before 60,000 US and international buyers and then featured at the Los Angeles Auto Show before 12,000 industry decision-makers and 4,000 media correspondents from 50 countries.

Another day gone. There were only three customers to stop by her shop today. †First was a flustered middle-aged woman, plump, with frazzled hair and too much makeup, asking frantically for another wrinkle removing potion, after insisting that the previous one she had gotten from a new young witch down on Porter's Street hadn't worked.
She liked that girl. Such promise and energy for one so young. Yes, that one deserved a bright future.
The next was a young man, wearing a disheveled sweater hanging off of one shoulder, wrinkled pants and tennis shoes. He insisted on a love potion, that she (a girl he mentioned but had not named) was clearly meant to be with him, she just didn't know it, and needed a little push.
I bet she's a nice girl, poor thing.
When she refused to make him the potion he starting shouting and waving his arms angrily, nearly knocking over poor Vervain, and breaking several of her poti

Rise From the Dead
“Where are tonight the sword and its swinger, the holy spells and their singer? Where is the light to scatter the ghosts, the sight of dawn to shatter the frost? Fears can be hidden, and hearts’ fire kindled, but will shadows be caged and demons faced? The curses of liches linger like winds of winter, and wolves howl a hymn for the undead's hunt… who will be safe from the grim reaper’s swing, and who will fall in its grip?”

Peanut Butter Cream RecipeIf you guys haven't caught on by now there's certain journal skins I use for certain themed journals.Peanut Butter Cream Recipe4 years ago in Personal More Like This
This is the cooking journal skin.
Now! Onto the recipe!
Technically it's peanut butter buttercream, but it doesn't necessarily have the exact same consistancy as buttercream frosting.
This was originally a filling for devil's food cupcakes with chocolate ganache frosting, but I don't have a picture of the cupcakes for you ._.;; Plus this stuff is great on it's own.
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temp
1 cup creamy peanut butter (I bet you could use chunky, but it'd be a lot less consistant)
1 1/4 cups fine confectioner's sugar.
What to do:
Beat the butter and peanut butter at medium speed in a mixing bowl until blended. Reduce speed to low and gradually beat in the confectioners' sugar. Increase speed to high and beat for 3 to 5 minutes until smooth and fluffy.
Then just let it sit for a minute and place it in a container or something, unless

One of the best Dalek stories in Doctor Who’s history, despite being black and white, from the 60s, and reconstructed (missing). But it’s going to be remade in a fan production that, judging by this trailer, will be fantastic. Several people including myself nearly thought it was an official BBC production. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMfRd0qxMSE Victory of the Daleks gave it a nod with I am your sssoldier!
Dalek Origins http://www.historyvortex.org/DalekOrigins.html From a real world perspective. A nice article about production, the creator(s) of the Daleks fictional and real life, and how Terry Nation contradicted himself on Dalek history, why it’s muddled, alternate versions, the works. Best if you copy-paste the article’s content into a Word document for a more readable / less painful font. I would al

Right brain warriors in the new age will be the coveted candidates ordained to lead and guide us; lifting the torch to light the way forward into a brave new beautiful world.
Artists have always feared that they are unappreciated and that the march of progress comes only from business, science and their machines. 1984 was imagined by an artist projecting these exact fears. Our guest essayist suggests the computer will never be our master, but only the super high speed counting machine it was meant to be leaving humans with only one pure task— being creative.

It’s rare that a “new” iconic monster is born and becomes forever identifiable,—— no matter the variations, by generation after generation. So it was when George Romero created the ultimate “zombie” in his Night of the Living Dead in 1968. Zombie Apocalypse fans today may have never heard of George or seen the original “Night,” but the zombies they so love in fare like The Walking Dead owe their existence to Romero’s original vision.
In 1979, screenwriter Dan O’Bannon craft
