I found a photo album today,
stuck in a draw,
next to my mother's bed.
Small, with a red leather cover
I opened it.
The name,
written in blue ink,
was smudged but I could still make out
Daniel and his date of birth.
I turned the pages,
and flipped through the pictures of a beautiful baby boy,
and by the end,
amongst the pages lonely,
with no pictures I began to cry.
Daniel didn't make it,
