SW Clone Wars: WisdomCaptain Rex, known to many as the fearless Captain of the Five-Oh-First, the second in command to the reckless Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, and hero amongst the ranks of the Clone Army. However, no one really knew Rex as Rex. In fact, as the famed Captain stood with his hands clasped tightly behind him, on the platform outside the entrance to the Coruscant barracks of the GAR, what can only be called his 'home', he realized that no one really knew him at all. Although, he admitted that was his own doing, he had never actually invited anyone to know him more than Captain Rex. No. That's not true, you let Cody in and Commander Tano. Slightly. Or more.
"If you stand like that much longer, they'll hang you on a wall in the Caiiynn Mall." Rex, snapped his head, startled, toward the owner of the sudden voice that had interrupted his thoughts. A woman shrugged nervously, and pointed to the wall behind Rex.
"Uh, the holo-image."

Ahsoka was bored.
She had retired to her quarters some time before, but could not sleep, no matter whether she meditated or relaxed. She wanted something to do, but she didnt have any ideas. Master Kenobi would likely be asleep or attending to some business, and she didnt know what Anakin would be up to at this hour. She likely would just be annoying him if she went to go check, anyway, she decided.
She let out an audible sigh as she lay there on her bed, staring at the ceiling. There wouldnt be any point to her patrolling the hall, as there were already clones assigned to such a duty, and the bridge would likely have just a night crew, or something like that. She wondered what captain Rex might be up to.
Her eyes widened. Rex. Of course. Hed likely still be awake. Ahsoka half-scrambled, half-rolled, off of her b
ProtectedWhen she looked at the clones, she would always find herself thinking about how brave they were. She knew they were made to be obedient and brave, but she figured it had to take more than a bunch of injections, and hormones to make someone be able to look death in the eyes on a daily basis, just to get up and do it again if they lived to see the next day.Protected6 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
Ahsoka sat quietly in the cargo bag watching the steady buzz of clones load and unload ships. And the occasional slacker clone who stopped to talk or joke with his brothers. She didn't really have anything better to do, Anakin had just run off on another vague meeting with Obi-Wan. She was happy to see how close they were even after he had become a Jedi knight. She could only hope she hand her master would act like that when she grew into a knight.
Swinging her legs over the side of a ledge on the cemented cold floor was one of Ahsoka's favorite ways to unwind. She loved seeing the clones happy, they were all like brothers to her in a

"Since when did you use a blaster?" Rex chuckled.
Ashoka whipped around. She tried to hide the blaster pistol behind her back, but Rex had spotted it already.
"Erm, never, I was just, practicing." she said blushing a darker, more rusty orange.
Rex glanced at the target she had been shooting at. The holes from the blaster shots she had shot peppered randomly on the target.
"I don't have good aim." she admitted.
Rex grinned, "We can fix that you know, why are you using a blaster anyway?"
Ashoka shrugged as she handed over the blaster, "I just think I should learn how to use a different type of weapon, you never know.."
Rex nodded, she had a point.
"Well, your holding it all wrong see," Rex placed his hands on her's and moved them on the correct placement on the blaster. "And you aim like this."
Rex helped her aim and pushed her trigger finger. The pistol jerked lightly in their hands and the blast made a neat hole, dead center of the target.

The corridor was brightly lit, even in the dead of the night. The deck felt cold under her barefeet, even though she knew it was temperature controlled. Ahsoka padded quietly along the black decking, moving quietly through the deserted corridor, trying not to be seen.
It's not that she couldn't be out of her quarters of her own free will. She was not a prisoner by any means, but her heading would be questionable should her master find her out of her quarters, in the middle of the night.
Ahsoka ducked around a corner and looked both ways. Most were sleeping soundly after a hard day of service to the Republic. The ship kept to Coruscanti time and that helped to regulate the day, even when away. From what Ahsoka understood, the clones had even been trained on Coruscanti time, even though they were on Kamino. It kept order.
She moved quickly down the corridor. The way was familiar to her, even with her eyes closed. She could feel where she was going, using the force as a guide.

Anakin had known that it wouldn't all be fine even once they got back to the Outpost. Still he had foolishly hoped. As he carried Ahsoka down the hall he tried to avoid the other Jedi's presence. It was a tense silence, one that he didn't want to acknowledge right now. He wished he'd never been contacted by the Chancellor and that he hadn't gotten Luminara as the Jedi that would be here to cover him. Obi-wan would have been bad enough, but she would be worse.
Luminara kept in easy step with Anakin even with his longer strides. She could tell that he was trying to avoid what had happened and she wasn't going to let him. Not because she wanted to harass him about it but because she was sure that he wouldn't

Sounds of talking overlapped the feeling of moving, lurching and then brightness. So many voices, but through all the confusion, disorientation and the darkness, the pain was there. Searing pain that felt like it was eating at her, consuming her. It's tendrils working it's way up into her body and hooking into every organ she had. She tried to speak, tried to open her eyes, tried to ask for help but nothing would come. The darkness had taken her and all she could do was scream in the oblivion that was slowly tangling around her. Threatening to drag her to depths that she couldn't comprehend. Rex stared at the wall. Cody had gone drinking with the others, leaving Rex alone with Denal. Rolling over, Rex watched his most trusted trooper stretch and take off his armored boots.
Going to bed already Denal? Rex chuckled.
Denal turned and grinned at his captain, Well sir, we got training tomorrow dont we? With your drills, Ill need my rest. he snorted.
What? Rex grinned.
Oh its just the rest going off like that. Boy, their gonna have a hangover and go through drills. Sucks for them. Denal smirked.
Rex put his arms behind his head. He hadnt bothered to remove his armor yet. He wasnt even tired. After counting all of the scratches on his helmet, Rex glanced over to Denal who dozed with his arms crossed over his chest.
Loud barks of laughter and a hard thud directed Rexs attention to the door. Denal had awaken, annoyed at the interruption.

Ahsoka and Rex had been lying on the floor of the corridor for the past hour, their bodies nestled close together; and yet, it was not close enough. The hard, ungiving plates of his plastoid armor were in the way, but Ahsoka didnt really mind; the uniform was a part of him, and thus part of what she liked about him. Rex had kissed her tenderly, then passionately, and then tenderly again, only pulling away to gaze at her.
He reached up to touch her face with his gloved fingertips, tracing the white marking on her cheeks and brow with a serene curiosity.

Yes, but, um elsewhere, Ahsoka replied, her cheeks tinged russet. Rexs eyes crinkled and he began to laugh; a low, slow, deep baritone rolling chuckle that made his chest vibrate. A w

"Balance derives from equal parts of confusion and clarity."
Clone Commander Rex, who rarely went by his identification number CC-7567, strode with purpose down the long corridors of the flagship Resolute, the ship under the command of Admiral Yularen. Moving like the precise soldier he was, he held his helmet under his left arm, crooked perfectly in the curve of his elbow. While he walked, Rex passed by some of his fellow brethren and even some members of the admiral's crew that were not of Clone origin. Those who were below rank to him sharply stopped, pausing momentarily from whatever purpose they were in the midst of, and nodded their acknowledgement to him. Rex, in turn, did the same. It was a gesture of comradeship, a sign of respect, and a silent acknowledgement that they were all in the same fight together for the same purpose. It was orderly, neat, and predictable.
Ironically, any sense of predictability had been blown to hell as soon as he had bee
