"Peace will come for all Cybertronians."
As a young mathematician, Megatron lectured at one of Cybertron's most prestigious universities. During the course of his own studies, he had developed a set of equations that could predict social trends in a given society. He was alarmed when these trends pointed to a civil war on Cybertron. His colleagues dismissed his work as the paranoid ranting of a lunatic. He saw them as simply misguided and he retreated underground to prepare for the coming war. When Optimus Prime began his march across Cybertron, Megatron was ready. He had developed the art of transformation, refashioning his own body into one capable of converting to an aerial vehicle of tremendous power. While Optimus spread the gospel of destruction and conquest, Megatron cha

- The issue of weight seems to be one of the most commonly mistaken aspects of medieval combat. Smiths all made swords slightly differently and each fighter had his own preferences. It is impossible to generalize when it comes to the technology of an entire continent from c/ 500-1500 AD, and both very heavy and very light swords existed. In terms of what was typical, though,, here’s a rough guide to averaged:
Single-handed sword (aka sword) - 2.5 pounds
Hand-and-a-half (aka bastard sword) 2.5-3 lbs
Two-hander (aka longsword) - 3 to 3.5 pounds.
The absolute largest swords still rarely hit the 5-pound mark. These were designed to serve very specific tactical functions on the battlefield and were not intended for general-use purposes. Experience showed smiths and warriors that this was the ideal weight range for their weapon. It’s essentially natural selection at work: people whose swords were too light or too heavy went off to battle and

Hello Im Volts48 and, whether you like it or not, Im your critic.
What is it people want to see in an action movie? People fighting each other with Asian-style close combat, bullets flying everywhere, and things getting blown up; that seems to be the formula. Enter Michael Bay, the director of Armageddon and Pearl Harbor, who brings us, again, another one of his CGI-heavy action thrillers to the big screen where things just get blown the hell up. Only one problem, he forgot the thriller part and replaced the majority of the human characters with crude and rude alien robots. The movie Im referring to is Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
What can I possibly say about this movie that critics and fans have not already said? Apart from the fact that this film is based on a line of toys from Japan by Hasbro, nothing much. But, in 2007, director Michael Bay teamed up with Steven Spielberg to make a movie that would not only sell more toys but would

Unknown in it's origin and connection, it is the balance in the battle between good and evil and the key in which the power to fight against the forces of darkness are locked. There are many who have access and knowledge in regards to the power of the Morphing Grid, but very few seem to fully understand it's composition and the means by which it can be utilized. Until recent times, it had been believed that prior to the battles conducted in the name of space wizard Zordon and his eventual death, leading to the accessibility of Ranger powers on the planet Earth, humanity had no knowledge or understanding of how to access the Morphing Grid. However, recent research and discoveries show that the human knowledge and understanding of this mysteri

Creepypasta - SpinworldWhen I was little there used to be an amusement park on the outskirts of my hometown. It wasn't large, but it did serve its purpose as a fun little distraction during the weekends. Since it was a small amusement park in an even smaller town it didn't make a whole lot of money; you could tell from the fallen decor, cheap prizes and unenthused carnies. Despite that, it did earn enough to stay in business.Creepypasta - Spinworld2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
The park was your standard affair: it had a couple of shooting ranges; a cotton candy-stand; a merry-go-round; a haunted mansion-ride and even a small roller-coaster, to name a few. The attractions were scattered across an open field, with a big plot of grass left empty in the middle of it all. We assumed that the reason behind that was so people could move around more freely; a plaza of sorts, you could almost say. However, as it turned out, the reason behind this structure was something completely different altogether.
This wouldn't come to light until several years later, when an ann

Everything about you is stupid and retarded!
When I see you I want to beat your face in,
But at the same time, I want to be your friend.
You moron of mine, don't you see, I love you?
Even though I threw two bricks and a rock at you.
That's not the point you lover of mine,
I want to kiss the bruises and scars
I give you all the time. Maybe one day
I'll tell you the truth, that when I see you,
My heart misses a beat or two, I watch you go by,
I want to say "Hi", you're so good looking,
It makes me want to die. But, at the same time,
You're dumb! Just another stupid person, that I
Like to make fun of. So when I see you next time,
Inside I'll want to say "Hi", but instead I'll
Hit your ass over the head that will make you cry!

Rarity paid no mind to the silly gossip-mongering of fishwives, having long given up the fillyish fantasies of a storybook wedding. So she was quite surprised when Prince Blueblood himself strolled into her little shop.
"Ah! Such rich textiles for so humble an establishment," the prince crooned, modeling a new cape for himself in the full-length mirror. He spared a moment to appraise Rarity as well in a manner she did not entirely appreciate. "Indeed, true finery may be found in the most unlikely of places."

A great bloated mass broke through the mists. Glowering eyes and a leering grin marked the face of an enormous whale, its features all wrought in white orichalcum. The wrathful cetacean seemed to be floating upon a bed of soot and fire. Only a closer inspection would reveal a craft slung below the dirigible's belly.
The Noblesse Oblige was the mightiest airship in Unicornia's fleet. The prow was an armored wedge sweeping aside the spires of rock that were a hazard to lesser craft, and its sides bristled with cannons firing relentlessly into the surrounded cliffs. Through thunder and black powder haze came the frightened shrieks of the Quarray Eels under assault.
Standing proudly at quarterdeck, his face a grim but approving mask, Prince Blueblood of Unicornia watched the sailors of the Noblesse Oblige scurry about their duties.

-Optimus Prime knows absolutely nothing about the Allspark’s origins, and thus nothing about his own planet’s history or culture, as seen in Transformers 2 when he claims all of his knowledge of his people came from the Allspark. In other words, Optimus knows zilch about his own world despite being leader of one half of the planet’s population.
-How do the Transformers know the Allspark is older than recorded time if they know nothing about its history?
-The connections between Earth and Cybertron become increasingly thin as each film goes on. I mean according to this continuity, the Transformers led to the creation of the pyramids and Hoover Dam, they are the reason for the space race, and in the tie-in comics, they caused the Chernobyl disaster. Not funny.
-The only things we learn about the soldiers is that one has a daughter, one is Spanish and co

With a sleeve of the reluctant princess' gown clamped between his teeth, the black-clad stallion led his captive at a breakneck pace. Brush and stone flew by in their haste. Despite his exertions in his pursuit and subsequent conquests over Trixie's minions, the Pony-in-Black seemed tireless. Rarity, meanwhile, struggled to endure as the long sleepless night and mounting stress took their toll.
The duo stepped into a dried-up watercourse, where some ancient stream had once flowed from the mountains down to the forest. The Pony-in-Black pushed Rarity to the ground, keeping his eyes on the surrounding hills.
"Gently, please!" she whimpered, bracing herself on the dusty bank.
"Catch your breath," he said brusquely.

At the first chance I got, I took up my sword and shield and crept to the stairway, nothing more than a creaky piece of wood that went from room to room. I heard her in the pantry, selecting food from the maze of jars and bottles on the shelves, reading the labels with her fingers. I slithered down the stairs like a snake and tip-toed towards the door. Opening and shutting it with hardly a sound.
I wished so much I could run, but a brisk walk was all I could manage, listening to my blade whisper behind me made me want to speed my pace up, I couldn’t take this much longer! I covered my ears with my hat and scanned the area, finding a hole in the ground surrounded by some evergreen trees. I dropped down it, landing slowly as was the hole’s design and walked in the dark, allowing my eyes to adjust; just after I had crashed into the open chest that was in the way.
I threw my sword and shield in and slammed the lid shut, it locked itself

Many often spoke of the price of life. Philosophers in nearly every civilization had dedicated their entire lives to speculating on it. One race had even attempted to build a computer the size of a city in an attempt to quantify it. But whatever the price of life was, one thing was sure: It was steep.
It was sometimes easy to forget just how precious life could be after gaining immortality and leading a life of warfare. The Maximal who called himself Gunslinger was not only gaining a lesson in perspective, but economics. Security work paid dirt, even in the slums where guards were paid relatively well. Keeping up its fast speed, the Camaro expertly weaved through the very few cars that were still driving this late all the while maintaining its distance from their pursuers.

A chill wind blew through the courtyard where Rainbow Dash was facing down the mysterious Pony-in-Black. Dressed as he was, his back to the sunrise, he was an inky spot swimming in Dash's vision. Both ponies were balanced on their hind legs, each gripping a delicate-but-deadly rapier. The rainbow-maned pegasus was confident in her skills, but the Pony-in-Black was an unknown quantity.
