This scene was inspired by "Dredd". After watching the movie I became fascinated with the idea of huge cities with enormous buildings that hold tens of thousands of people. So I decided to create a mega city, but located on another planet.

This was done using 3ds Max, Vue 10, and Photoshop. I started out with a plain base render then added a lot of detail in Photoshop. The original size is 5500X3438; I downsized to 1920X1200 and the quality degraded somewhat, but I guess that's to be expected when that many pixels are thrown away.

Click the "Download Image" button to check it out in full-view.

All elements are my own design, creation, and stock except for the planet and moon textures which are courtesy of NASA: [link].

You can use this as a wallpaper for non-commercial use, if anyone is interested in using this commercially send me a message.

My part of #theluminariums exhibition called "Energy". You can check out the other awesome entries here: [link]

A different attempt this time for a close up planet. I kinda like the result. The picture is available as dual screen wallpaper for widescreen resolution (if you have another setup, just crop it to your liking).

Well, this is a follow up on Tranquility in Space ([link]), but this one is supposed to be a tad more... menacing.

Download for 3 version, with slight modifications to the colouring. All three at 1600x1200

Shadows of Elysium

:bulletblack: I proudly present my latest wallpaper. The story: You are in the captain's office right after a larger fight. The ship was heavily damaged but the homefleet was successful. At the moment you are on the search for the rest of the escaped aggressors. The captain starts to have doubts about his mission, his job and his life...

Misc

:bulletred: Ok I tried new things in this pic and I'm pretty happy with it's outcome. I ever wanted to creat a flight-scene with larger ships. To avoid confusion: the thing on the right side is an extraterrestrial transmitter. I thougt it's nice to implement new elements to the common stuff. It basically is a mattepainting, textures were taken from cgtextures.com. There'll be only one resolution this time (via download). It's a larger wide-screen so you shouldn't have problems by sizing it down (or adding borders for your personal scree-size).

I appreciate every comment, fav and email, as always :thighthug:
Thanks to ~LordDaroth for the title :)

Here's the space battle I was hired to illustrate for the HTML5 multiplayer webgame Rawkets. It's still in development with a lot of features to be added, and some minor bugs to be ironed out, but as it stands, it's a lot of fun to drop in and blow up friends! The image was put on a banner and is being put on a cool little arcade machine too.

Like the wallpaper background version that you can find below, I've chosen to upload a set of wallpapers of this one too. The sizes are:

1024x768
1280x1024
1440x900
1600x1200
1680x1050
1920x1200

Below are the first wallpaper, my sketches and rough 3D renders for the project, as well as the official banner. Hope you like everything, take care!

Back to the basics, people.

Wanted to give the Home series another shot, seeing as how I have so many wonderful stock photos lying around.

Be sure to check out the .ZIP file for a ton of different alterations.

Have fun.
