Hey guys! I'm attempting to post work again! :)Hi everyone! Capu hereHey guys! I'm attempting to post work again! :)4 months ago in Personal More Like This
Well so here's my excuse this time.. *insert dramatic sigh*
I acknowledge my increasing absence and lack of activity this past year has been less than satisfactory for those expecting more commission openings or trades or anything of the like.. however as much as I want to do them all, I have to admit..
I'm experiencing the never-ending stress of college applications and SATs that plagues highschool students! And primarily seniors I suppose..
This is actually my senior year of highschool! Time sure goes by quickly.. It's been about 2 and a half years I've been on deviantART already and I only wish I could be as (crazily) active as I was the first year.. which would be.. around my freshman year of highschool. Oh the GOOD TIMES XD
I feel like an old fart now saying this, but for those of you who just entered your freshman year of highschool.. please enjoy it O___O
I was never the studious or diligent type in comparison to many of my high-achieving c

Strawberry PastaWoke up early and I love making a really simple, yet delicious dish which is healthier than my bad habit of having cereals or pancakes. Plus, I am active person and I need an energetic "start of day".Strawberry Pasta9 months ago in Personal More Like This
When I say about italian pasta with strawberries and cream with sugar, most of my foreigner friends faces were expressing "yuck!" like it was a bad combination. It's rather popular in Poland.
I thought to share it
I love it not only for refreshing taste but it's very easy to make. I love tasting food and I'm sort of interested in culinaries but I hate cooking. I can't stand being kitchen. Also I'm lazy with making food but more in meaning... I don't like wasting time on it But that's how I am.
Simply it's pasta with crème fraîche (kind of sour cream)/or kefir/or natural yogurt, fresh chopped strawberries and with brown sugar.
Healthier alternative is brown rice instead of pasta.
So Your Fantasy Creature Evolvedsquid's advice yaaaaay ?So Your Fantasy Creature Evolved5 months ago in Personal More Like This
So a lot of artists/writers like to use evolution as the explanation for their fantasy critters. Which for the record they aren't too bad at... it's just... I don't think most people realize there are options other than adaptation and sexual selection.
Here is a quick overview of some material that maybe wasn't covered in the non-major intro biology course you were forced to take:
+Evolution doesn't happen to individuals, it happens to populations. (Pokemon isn't quite accurate on that regard) Any change between the parent generation and the offspring is considered evolution, whether it's adaptive or not. There are lots of ways non-adaptive traits can be perpetuated across generations by chance.
+Adaptive evolution is when a trait or behavior is favored because it aids foraging (ability to find food), deterring predators, and/or increases fitness (number of offspring produced).

MentorshipMentorship and YouMentorship1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Being self-taught and college aren't your only art education options. Mentorship offers the flexibility to accommodate the motivated self-learner while giving you access to professional advice that can help pinpoint your art's problem areas and maximize your efforts and time. You don't have to commit to overwhelming school loans or going at it alone.
Mentorship can be viable option for those:
• Wanting professional aid in creating a series of images for a strong portfolio
• Just wanting a short-term artistic checkup or feedback
• Needing help to establish solid fundamental skills
• Benefit from the encouragement and accountability a mentor can provide
• If there are no teachers available locally
How it Works
Operating on a month-to-month basis we would have weekly online screen-share sessions where we will evaluate your work, critique the previous week's work, define artistic goals and answer questions.
So you want to be a concept artist?Hey guys, took a while to post these but here they are, the 2 videos for this week!So you want to be a concept artist?6 months ago in Personal More Like This
First one is a talk about the job of a concept artist and what its all about, plus tips on how to improve your designs and better self critique your work.
Second one if a time-lapse of the whole process including coloring, have a good weekend!
USEFUL STUFFHere's some nice useful things to check out (if you havent already) that i like to look at to improve or just watch for inspirationUSEFUL STUFF5 months ago in Personal More Like This
FYI i learn more from watching things so most of these are gonna be video tutorials, artists talking while painting and timelapse paintings, since i prefer analyzing peoples workflow and try it out than straight tutorials that tell you what to do (not there's anything wrong with it though )
LEVEL UP: https://www.youtube.com/user/levelupsessions
omg.... the amount of stuff you can learn from these amazing artists is crazy! i suggest watching from session 1 till the latest. you cant miss a thing these guys say, plus these guys are pretty fun most of the time. its a nice light, but informative bunch of videos
Marc Brunet is a great teacher! i really enjoy how he explains things and just his process in general. really good to listen to and pretty entertaining to watch
How to feel good about your ArtWe've all had those moments as an artist where we just can't seem to like what we're doing, where nothing seems sufficient and everybody else seems to draw so much better than ourselves. There's a few simple things you can do to avoid feeling like that or that you can remind yourself of should you already be right in the middle of this mess. How to feel good about your Art3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Draw for yourself, not an audience!
The first and probably most important point, especially for any artist on here who in one way or the other seeks feedback and recognition from their fellow deviants. You should never forget that your art is after all YOUR art, so it should be a means to express yourself, relax yourself, be proud of yourself etc and not anyone else. Never let yourself be pressured to do anything you don't want simply because your watchers might demand it or do anything for the sole purpose of getting more attention. It might make you happy in the beginning but loosing track

Weekly tutorial EP04Hey guys! To celebrate the start of a new week, I have a new video tutorial for you!Weekly tutorial EP042 years ago in Personal More Like This
This week I am covering the female figure. It's a shorter video and obviously oriented more towards beginners, but hopefully this is still helpful! Let me know k?
ImprovementOver the years, many people have asked me for how long I've been drawing. While it's true that I started drawing as soon as I was able to hold a pencil, I was never that serious about it. In a sense, you can ask yourself if I was any serious on art altogether. Because, in the end, all kids draw. I think most people can remember making drawings in grade school. Because it's something kids do naturally. Depicting the world around them with images. The beautiful thing is that kids have no fear. They just draw whatever they like, and are usually happy with it. It isn't until the age of 10 or 12, that the outside world suddenly expects you to be either good at something, or stop doing it. It's at that age that we become self cautious about drawing. And therefore it's around that age many kids eventually stop drawing.Improvement1 year ago in Deviant Events More Like This
I came to that age as well. I have to admit... it kicked in a little late on me.
For those that wonder what I'm talking about; those are the 2 years I stopped
