This is one my final portraits, finally finished. charcoal on 18 x 24. This is from a photograph of some person I don't know, but I liked the expression, and the lighting. The flash on my camera seems to have washed out the blacks on his face a bit, but the lighting in my tiny apt isn't enough to do without, so, thats why it's like that.
My Fiancee asked me to do a heart with an arrow through it with more gory than usual blood dripping down it so i decided i'd give it a go. The normal version is in my scraps section but i thought this looks better, i have some strange obession with inverting it i know but it makes drawings look cool. Mine anyway
A powerful sorceress, trained by the Dark Sage Xobius, who has mastered the black arts, involving voodoo, spiritual, and necromancy magic. She is known as the Phantom Witch due to her obsession with ethereal powers and her ability to control them. Nezhura is depicted here feeding dark energy to her greatest creation, the Void Dragon. A small dragon that seems docile and harmless, but has the ability to distort time, space, and reality. It is virtually indestructible.
- Done on 8.5"x11" printer paper with mechanical pencil.
- Felt like an eternity to finish for something small.
Alas, another project complete! And 43 minutes before class! I am so good.
And this project was especially pleasent, as I had the fantastic opportunity to draw Hyde for my homework? How great is THAT? Yea, that's what I thought.
Not a lot to say about this one really. Another pencil portrait of one of my beloved men. I'm fairly content with this, though some problems arose in the making with the smearing of the pastel pencil causing un-erasable smudges. We did our best, we did.
Time Elapsed: 17 hours
Materials Used: Ebony pencil, white pastel pencil, blending stumps of various sizes, photo reference
11-29-04: Went back and fixed Hyde's nose. It was bothering me a lot. Hopefully it looks more accurate now.
