I decided that instead of releasing a CD with originals, and remixes, that I'd just do a CD of all remixes, and wait until I have enough originals to release an all original material CD. This CD is a collection of melodic videogame music mixes, transformed from whatever they started out as, into more "my style" with simple breaks, chord progressions and pianos. The ID3's have the info for which song came from what game, if you're curious.
There's a proper album sampler this time, so please check that out first to see if you want to DL any/all the tracks. The sample has a 10sec. snippet that's representative of each track in it, it's only 2.07Mb. Just listen to the sampler while looking over the track names, to see which tracks you want.
If the links don't work, the throttle may have come on. Just wait briefly, and try again. If the links are up, the music is up. Once the links are down, the music is down.
And I'm aware not every track is from a "Console" (ex. The Half-Life remixes), and I'm also aware that the album art reflects mario, even though there are no mario tracks on this cd. I just figured that for most people, Mario = Video Games, even if you don't game. I attached the "Vol. 1" on the end, because I figure I'll probably make some more, later.
The second installment of the Console Collective series. This time with 17 tracks, across varying games and platforms. This CD is a collection of melodic videogame music mixes, transformed from whatever they started out as, into more "my style" with simple breaks, chord progressions and pianos. The ID3's have the info for which song came from what game, if you're curious. Please check those before asking questions, the answers are already in there.
IMPORTANT: Help support the effort of writing all the music, and more importantly, the FREE DISTRIBUTION of all the music by at least leaving a comment or a fav, or something if you download the tunes. There's no point in continuing the effort if people just leech and leave.
I'll leave the links up for a while, until I feel that those who wanted the music, got the music. These mixes are meant to be in the spirit of fan-created works, like the work from ocremix.org or vgmix.com -- but if by any random chance the original composers of these tunes, or the games their from, happen by and want these taken down, just shoot me an email, and down they'll come.
For those of you who listen to the music, if you could leave your favs/least favs, that'd be great.
This is an idea i had longer time ago, but it took me some time to finally make it.
The making of this picture was not very easy, because i had too less letters for that scrabble-board, so i had to manipulate some of the words. Yes, and then i was finished with it, without realizing that i had a really NASTY spelling mistake in it (english is not my native language)... so i had to start it all over again. That was fun.
PS: The "42" is for all Douglas Adams fans out there!
