Entrance to the historic Central City Cemetery, above Central City, Colorado. This cemetery is one of three around Central City and has graves dating back to the mid 1800s. I have visited this cemetery often, mainly because it's quite a beautiful place, many of its graves are hard to find in aspen groves, on a steep hillside, and generally historically interesting (it's also supposedly haunted, but I've never experienced anything remotely spooky there). If you're a cemetery buff and ever near Central City, I highly suggest you check this one out (and the other two Central City cemeteries are literally "next door", so you can hit three with one visit!).

This was the very first shot I took when we were getting to Death Valley. I was shocked at how "fake" the scenery looked Almost like a cardboard cut-out or something, so I just HAD to get a shot of this! This is also probably the last wide-shot landscape shot I took that I liked from this trip, unfortunately :tears: I'm not too good with landscapes. On my next trip I plan to utilize my time and camera much more wisely! :headbang:

So what have I been up to lately, you ask? DIRECTING MOVIES, YO. What you see here is one of my favorite stills from Lobsterdance Productions' upcoming fan film: "Ultraman Sorta vs. Godzilla Starring Matt Frank: THE MOVIE!" Featuring, yes, :iconkaijusamurai: in a lead role. :D Everything in this still is all realized through the use of practical miniature effects - everything was shot in camera! The film still has a fair bit of work before it's ready to be released to the public but in the meantime, feel free to check out our other kaiju short films, OGGRA: [link] and TERRORMISU: [link]

Cheers~!

Promised myself that I'd at least try and take one photo for the BJD photography comp this month...to challenge myself more than anything.

The theme's "perspective", and coming from a design/graphic art background, perspective, to me, is how an image is drawn (eg, one-point, two-point) or what is used to portray depth within that image (eg, occlusion, texture, size).

But I realise that really our perspective on perspective depends on what perspective we look at it from ( ;P). Which is all dependent on who we are, where we come from and what journey we take to get there.
