Similar Deviations
Everytime I remember the fall season I think over all the garden tasks and how it gets more complicated than it should be.
Sometimes I feel inside a cartoon because all the comic situations that happens while I'm trying to keep all clean, but for some reason it is impossible.
And of course my neighbor doesn't miss a thing. (she is saying “happens everytime”)

Every thing is handmade. I used cold porcelain (a kind of air dry clay),cardboard, wire, plaster, foam, acetate, acrilic paint, permanent marker, polimer resin, varnish.

:tea: Mustache the Food for Men's Health :toast:
Since it's Movember, and many issues of health are about food, how about we create a snack station with the theme of mustache?

We know it’s traditional for Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to celebrate their awareness and fundraising efforts by throwing a Movember party at the end of the month. --- [link]
Since I am not able to join the party with the Mo Bros and Sistas, I decided to make a miniature version of the party setting to celebrate the month ☺

On the table are many different pastry and dessert with mustache and eyeglasses to symbolize the signature of men. Food include mustache cakes, cookies, croissant and Mont Blanc. All food items are handmade by me with air dry clay and paper.

I hope you like it like I enjoyed making it :happybounce:

Here is my entry for dA's "Draw This Again" contest! The two pancake pendants look the same from far away, but if you look closely at the details of the new version, they have improved nicely (I think! =P). Some more views of the new piece: [link]

I don't have a good picture of the old one in my gallery, so I had to retake one for the meme...I hope that still qualifies!

Not a piece that I would usually post on here but this contest seems interesting. This piece is very important to me and I worked very hard to illustrate it so please do not use it without permission.

Hoping to keep his life, the unamed creature hides from his creators and society.

This is my splice entry of a human and hawk. I spent quite a few hours making this but I'm happy with the results :).

Beware the doorbell !  -- just how many of these boxes were sent out nobody knows, nor is it known to which addresses they're heading.

                           --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TECHNIQUE--- pencil drawn first then inked over on Bristol board -->   swiftly into Photoshop for some colour and tweakment--> tadaa! ---> end result as seen above.
TIME TO COMPLETE ---from brainstorming and to the actual finished  inked drawing on paper about 5 hours . Scanned, all tidied,  line separation and then throwing down the colour took me around the 6 hours mark -- for the final touches and adjustments add another hour or two.
Approximately all in all it took about 11 to 13 hours to complete---- ( sorry I can't be more precise than this but its tricky to see the clock through the masks' eye holes.)
INSPIRATION and IDEA --- I love the idea of how masks and make up transform a person into a new character and I wanted to attempt a three panel story rather than just show a person or object shifting form in three stages.
It starts with the most sunniest of moments < cue relaxing piano music >  innocent playtime with a kitty and a flower, then mystery box arrives  upon opening... the friendly face and playful scene are both transformed into one of abject  HORROR! Just from the act of donning a mask our subject now believes he's a monster.

I tried to shift from one setting to the other by using brighter colours in the first panel and then moving over to darker touches for the end one , to help transform from the happy and carefree to the dark and unsettled, while at the same time going from the good to evil, skinny to bloated, heck I even went from vegetarian to meat eating such was the transformation in this strip.
When doing the final detailing to this image in the first frame where the angel's wings should be I applied a fluffy cloud texture using a photograph that I took from an aeroplane window, I was aiming to add some ethereal floaty qualities here.  Meanwhile over in panel number three --  I'd recently visited a dark basement where there were freezers containing 16 dead bodies. I used the photograph I took of this room to add some harsh straight marks to contrast with the softer elements of the clouds that i used at the start, hopefully it adds a dash of doom to the proceedings too.

                    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CONCLUSION --- DO NOT PLAY with mysterious boxes near cats.
