'Run!' a bright flash blinded me as I fell to the ground, my ears ringing. 'Run! Save yourself!' I struggled to get back on my feet. 'But !' I looked at the man, pinned under the debris of the crumbling building! 'GET OUT OF HERE!' the man yelled said, blood spewing from his mouth. Reluctantly, I turned and began to run towards the room. My legs ached; my heart was pounding as my vision recovered from the flash slowly. I knew this was going to be very dangerous. I knew that this was going to be very risky and I knew that this was going to be very likely suicidal. But when you have nowhere else to go, you'll try to dig yourself a hole in the ground, if it likely means saving your life I pushed open the door to the roof of the building as hard as I could. I remember running towards the edge of the roof, where a zip-line had been set-up. I never knew who'd set it up, or why it'd been set up. All I knew was that I was about to j

My last moment
Written by ToxiHelena <3
Each day people tell you how to live and be,
Each day you know there are lies you cannot see,
But you never shook your head, you just go along.
Each night when you're alone and you just can't dream,
You know you're missing someone, who's never here,
But you never open your eyes, just go back to sleep.
You know you can't hide forever,
The mask cannot save you from this cruel world,
You have no chance but to continue living.
You feel you can say those things,
Emotions are just growing up inside your soul,
You have no chance but to continue walking,
Till the last moment of your life.
Each day when it rains, you see through the raindrops,
Each day when it rains, your heart is crying too,
But you never open your umbrella to stop.
Each night, when you're feeling down, and you can't sleep,
Do you feel someone's loving you, with their feelings so deep?
But you never hold their hand before you say goodbye.
You know you can't run forever,
The rain canno

Let rest the stars and sleep tonight
Oh love, stay here and rest with me
Oh love, sleep calm and rest tonight

You'll love me so.
You'll hold my hand

The heart we feel.
You'll make me smile
You'll stay a while.
You're truly "fine"
That you'll be mine.
And promise me

The Beginning of Another LieThe Beginning of Another Lie4 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
I dislike it when people assume they understand you.
I mean, How could they if, at times, you cannot understand yourself?
"How's school going?"
Standard response. Simple. Easy. Uninviting and friendly enough to kill the subject. A lie and yet it is not a lie.
I won't lie to you. I've lied many times. I lie almost everyday, almost compulsively. A paradox presented in curved or flat letters on your screen. if you lie all the time how can I trust what you say right now to be the truth? Could what you be saying now be one simple lie in a web of truths?
See what I mean? Hard to understand at times...
"How's it going between you and him?"
"It's pretty great. We had an almost romantic moment. It was bizarre and I don't know how to feel about it."
This one is tricky. How do you know which part is the truth and which part is the lie?
You shouldn't trust me even when I beg you to. When I give you reasons to. When I show hints of honesty and even, at times, sig

You soar on thermals, warm and uplifting,
until the tenuous column vanishes and you
skim too close to treetops and lakeshores.
I have never glimpsed your heights
or touched your depths; I only hover
on harsh ocean breezes tinged with salt.
I dream that you will know the peace of stillness,
and that I will remember the rush of motion.

Cloud nine is not bliss. It's a panorama of raw cream
chiffon with an underbelly of curling smoke
that blocks our view of the earth below.
When we fell through the clouds
mist coated our limb tips so all we could feel
was the ghost of each other's touch.
Blame the wind or the feathers drifting from my moulted wings,
but I always knew we'd land thousands of leagues apart.
III. to P:
Among flocks of shuffling feet and stuttering wings,
you shone the brightest, a sparkle in the summer light.
You dazzled the world with solar flares and I was the negative image,
dark after-thoughts burned onto retinas.

Sappho Merely ShruggedI was sixteen when I saw the garden for the first time. The flowers weren't exotic; the same kinds grew in the park across the street. There was just something about how the sunlight hit their petals that made me stop on the sidewalk. I spent a moment admiring a flower with curling leaves like the pages of old books, and I wondered how I'd never noticed the garden before.Sappho Merely Shrugged1 month ago in Emotional More Like This
A woman knelt between the rows of plants. She had dark hair that tumbled over one shoulder and sweat on the back of her neck. "What's your name?" I asked.
"Sappho," she said.
"I like your garden." I leaned against the fence as I watched her work. "The flowers in the park don't look so good this year. Did you do something different?"
Sappho merely shrugged.
I was too afraid to open the gate and go inside. Instead I went back to the park the next day. The flowers there were dim and faded, but at least I knew my way around.
I was eighteen when I almost touched one of Sappho's flowers for the first time. The night was c

I'm sure they're protecting me
You're all so close to me
And don't you never ever leave me!"
Every night before I fall asleep
I look out of my window and always see
A shadow sitting in the moon
With a fishing rod and wizard hat
I swear he is catching the stars
Why would someone do that?
Hey, you with the the fishing rod and wizard hat!
Tell me what are those stars you're looking at!
"They are wishes and dreams
They are hopes and fears
From the children, who before going to sleep

Hoping that tomorrow

Wind it all up and watch it go;

How they cleanse the waters than lust
A midnight's life, the life for beautiful dark love
The touch, the breath around the bosom
Sometimes I envy the romantic sinners
Everything in life is just a puppet

So many emotions
But if you said "I love you too"
It'd bring tears to my eyes
Pain to my heart.
Not from sadness
But from relief
From all the pain
I've felt these years.
I could never express
All the grief
And the hope I hope to gain
If I could just be with you.
Yet once again
Words and paintings aren't enough
For me to hear
"I love you too."

And a love I have to confide.

it's then that she realises he didn't break her heart

That I missed you so much I couldn't wait anymore.
But suddenly I was a giant and all the cars were too big for me to ride in...
So I started jogging on the highway because I couldn't wait anymore.
I think I had a thousand miles to go and the sun was just coming up the horizon.
So I finally found a truck that could carry me and rode on the roof.
I remember all the grass turning green in the winter,
And flowers grew along the highway like spring,
Then I was dropped in the middle of the city,
And I couldn't recognize the street at all.
When I took the taxi, I realized I brought nothing with me.
A bag pack of a change of clothing,
And money I was willing to spent all to see for myself that you are okay.
Streets whirled by filled with people like a spring fair,
And I saw a lot of people I didn't want to see,
Because you were the only one I wanted to see.
The taxi had a navigation system,

Hearts beating, fast paced
Limbs tangled together
In this fair weather.
Sweet seduction fills the air.
Peeling clothes without a care.
In this deadly trance
As voices sing
Chime bells ring
A song of their own.
We could never feel alone.
Together in perfect harmony.
Bodies moving artfully.
An inescapable clutch
Giving the gentlest touch
Pleasurable bliss, our motivations
Sending a feeling so amazing.
Desire for just a taste,
Not letting this moment go to waste.
The air keeps thickening.
All thought goes out the door,
We only want more and more.
As we come together, body and soul
Sweet seduction takes control.

on a craft, so splintered and worn,
that it seems as if magic
is the only element
keeping us from plunging into the sea.
The ocean stirs below,
where rippling water
gives way to deep blue.
You drag your fingers.
Water numbs and cocoons the tips.
In the distance a sky of forget-me-not blue
embraces the sea.
Where they meet is blurred.
The horizon hidden
when water and air become one.
Salty air leaves our lips chapped
and our throats scratched.
A dry reminder of a world
we can never join.
However, we still sit.
Mesmerized by the water dancing,
leaping up to spray our faces
and cool our cheeks,
raw from salt and UV rays.
The dinner-plate sun warms the blurred horizon.
A wind blows,
sending shivers down our necks.
Our hearts sink with the sun.
We know it is time to go.
we turn to leave.
The sun no longer warms our necks,
but a friendly spray from the sea kisses us good-bye,
never knowing when we will return.
