Just outside of PokeLand, a pokemon vacation spot, a trainer drops off two lucarios. "Come on out Max and Chelsy!" "Now both of you stay here, relax and have fun. I'll be back here to pick you up in four days."
"Okay" Max agrees.
"And watch out for Chelsy" whispers the trainer.
"I will" Max responds.
"Chelsy stay with Max" the trainer warns.
"I wont leave his side" Chelsy says as she looks at Max. He blushes.
"I'll be back in a few days." says the trainer as he walked away.
"Bye" Max and Chelsy yell in unison.
Knowing there without there trainer Max and Chelsy sit down under a shady berry tree. They sit for a while, thinking to them. So, for four days we can do anything we want? Chelsy ponders out loud.
I guess so. Max replies. After watching other Pokemon play for about twenty minutes Max blurts out Lets go for a walk!
Seems like a good idea says Chelsy.
It will give us a chance to see whats ar

Hello! May I see your tickets please? says the rough voice of a sailor. Hes an older looking man in complete uniform. Matching hat, jacket, and pants. All spotless white.
Hi! You must be the captain. Nick says.
Thats right! Captain James the fifth! And your name? he says.
Nicholas. But everyone calls me Nick. he says.
Ah, and who might these two be? James says eyeing Max and Chelsy.
They are my lucarios, Max and Chelsy. They are my best friends. Nick says.
So its Max is it? Welcome aboard lad! Nice to have you here! James says to Max. Max bows in response.
Hello there Chelsy! I hope you enjoy your stay! James says now addressing Chelsy.
Thank you sir. She mumbles.
Ah, theres no need to be timid! I dont bite. he says with a chuckle. He reaches into his pocket and takes out a small silver ribbon and places it in Chelsys paw. Sh

But why? Logan says, looking up at Max.
Because. Youre in the same condition I was in. I see no reason to go any farther. Now were even. Max says, heavily breathing.
Thank you for sparing my life. I have but one request. Logan says.
Oh ya? Whats that? Max asks.
That you would consider me a friend. Not just to you, but to Chelsy and Nick also. I wish to express my loyalty to all of you. Logan says.
Well then. Consider yourself a friend. Although it may be a bit harder to get Chelsy to trust you. Max says.
I know. Thats my fault. But I

Its been three days. Chelsy has had no food or water. Locked in a room with nothing but blank white walls and fluorescent lights. Damian and Logan watch her through one-way glass. She cries in the far corner of the room, curled in a tight ball.
Logan, bring this to her. Damian says handing him a glass.
What is it? Logan asks.
We need to calm her down. In that water is a drug to do just that. Otherwise we will never be able to ship her off. Damian says. Logans heart sinks.
But I thought you said she was to be mine? he asks.
Of course not! She is worth much more if we ship her off to the boss. They will find a use for her there. Besides, she would just be a distraction to you if we kept her. I have other work to do. Off with you now! Give her the drug then do with her what you would like. Damian barks. He walks away to another part of the building.

No! I just dont trust Logan! Hes a liar! Chelsy fumes.
Nick watches as she paces, You know, some might mistake you for a diglet
Chelsy looks down at her feet to see a path of dirt clearly overturned by her constant treading. She throws her arms around Nicks shoulders and sobs, Im scared that Max is hurt! I love him so much! I couldnt live without him!
Max stands curiously behind her, I love you too Chelsy! Theres no way I could leave you!
Chelsy spins around and hugs Max as tight as she can, I was so worried! Are you alright?

I dont know. He told me he had to go. Then he left. Chelsy says.
Thats odd. Nick says. Chelsy sits next to Max and watches the other people dance. Slow waltz music begins to play. Nick leans over toward Max.
Max. Nows your chance. Ask her! Nick whispers. Max nods and stands up. He kneels before Chelsy.
Chelsy, may I have this dance? he asks.
I would love to. she says standing and taking his paw. They make their way onto the dance floor.
Im not quite sure how to do this, but Ill try. Max says. He holds one of Chelsys paws and puts his other arm around her waist. She puts her paw on his shoulder.

Once there was a monastery high in the mountains. It's existence was secret, and the inhabitants dwelled in peace with each other, the mountain, the pokemon around them, and all of nature. Indeed, one could call it a paradise. However, the monastery had a strict code of conduct which even the most lax of monks followed to the letter. Only those men chosen and spirited away at birth to become followers were allowed to enter the monastery, for in their studies of the natural world and the pokemon which inhabit it the monks discovered many a great secret. Failure to comply with any of the rules--or "Mandates"--resulted in strict punishment that was decided upon which "degree" the Mandate fell into. The sixth degree was the lowest and most excusable, while the first degree were the most serious crimes . Breaking a Mandate of the first degree was a rare and dangerous thing indeed, as onl

His thoughts rage, Why? What did I do to her!? Why does she hate me!?
He stops in a clearing and begins attacking a defenseless boulder.
Why! Why! Why! he repeats, What did I do!
His punches and kicks do little damage at all to the hardened rock but chip off small fragments. He begins throwing aura spheres and pulse bombs at it. This takes off large slabs. After repeated attacks and no reason Max stops. He drops to the ground on his back, and stares at the late evening sky.
Chelsy I love you so much. How can I do this to you? I know youre hurting, I can feel it. he says to himself. As Max lies the sky becomes darker, and his concentration more distant. He stares out to the far reaches of space, looking at nothing but the universe. The stars, planets, and occasional meteorite seem to comfort him. Bring him hope. A few hours go by, Max doesn't move an inch. Quiet footsteps can

A female Lucario racing through the forest came to a dead halt, the tiny Riolu she was carrying had begun to cry. "shh....it's alright, everything is fine." she whispered softly as she rocked her quieting son. This Riolu had different colorings than most, he was a light sky blue. The bumps on his paws that would become spikes upon evolution were a slight reddish-brown, his eyes were the same only much darker.
Finally she came to a house. She could tell by the young trainers' aura that her son would come to no severe harm in her care. She placed the sleeping Riolu in front of the door, knocked and sat down. As the trainer answered, the Lucario mother stroked her son one last time and ran off. The Riolu had woken up and was again beginning to cry. The girl gently picked him up and rocked him, accepting him into her care. A purple female came into her care in a similar fashion about six months later.

Wish me luck! he shouts. Chelsy nods. Logans bulk muscular body tenses to prepare for battle. Max stretches, and then the battle begins. It plays out like any other battle, rapid punches and kicks, slams and throws. But something was wrong.
By the way, I never got your name. Nick says between commands.
Damian. The figure says. As the battle continues Nick becomes puzzled. Logan is fighting, but Damian is giving him no commands. Nicks confusion is exactly what Damian wants. He waits till Nick is most distracted by his confusion.
Now Logan! he shouts. Logan rushes Max and kicks him in the face, partially blinding him. Max drops to the ground. Logan finishes with a drop kick to the back. This temporarily paralyses Max. Logan jumps back. Nick and Chelsy run to his side. Chelsy places her blanket over Max.

You were having a nightmare. You alright? Max says. Chelsy nods but remains silent for a moment.
What time is it? she finally asks.
Late noon. Nicks making lunch. Youve got to be hungry by now. Max says. Chelsy stands in place, seemingly absent minded.
Are you sure youre okay? Max asks. He stands and attempts to hug her.
Chelsy steps shyly away, Im fine. Just leave me alone. She walks up to Nick and places a paw on his Chest.
Hi? You alright Chels? he asks. She looks him in the eye and hugs him briefly. Logan is curious. Chelsy looks to him then looks away. She walks off. Max watches her, confused and curious.

I wonder where Nick went? she says. Max, not paying attention, stares blankly out over the ocean.
Hey Max? What are you looking at? Chelsy asks, squinting to see what hes looking at.
Nothing, Im thinking. Max says.
What are you thinking about? she asks. After a short pause, he takes a deep breath.

The Origin of Lucario 8It had been several weeks since the human Mae had come to stay on Lucarios mountain, and as much as the pokemon hated to admit it, the girl was growing on him, and bit by bit re-establishing his faith in humanity. The Origin of Lucario 86 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
The red-headed Mae was cheerfully optimistic, and very adept at listening to Lucarios teachings...though, more often than not, she managed to cleverly maneuver Lucario into telling her stories concerning the old conflict concerning Wheil and the invention of the Apricorn capture devices. Lucario wasnt surprised; after all, the only reason she had come up to the mountain in the first place was to investigate the battle site.
Still, she took to the lessons well.
There are many different kinds of living creatures on this world, began Lucario one day, relating his one of his earliest and most profound philosophies. But essentially there are only two truly intelligent creatures: humans, and pokemon. Both of these have wh

Lucario gave a start, his new voice letting out a howl as the monk-turned-pokemon awoke from his nightmarish rest out of sheer fear. For a moment, his eyes were confused at the black-furred paws that moved where his hands should be, and at the tail registered behind him, but then the memories came crashing down like a torrent. He remembered the snowstorm that devastated the mountain, the rescue mission he had led, the girl he found and took to safety while defying the laws. He remembered his imprisonment, the other monks' outrage at the decision of Wheil and the other Council of Five members, and...

The Origin of Lucario 2Lucario was led quietly up to the punishment chamber where his punishment for breaking the Second Mandate was to be admonished. Dozens of protesting monks of the monastery lined the sides of the hallway, screaming their fury at the Council of Five:The Origin of Lucario 26 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
"You have violated the First! YOU should be the ones punished!"
"Lucario is being punished for saving a human life? It only shows how retrograde our 'justice' has become!"
"The Second Mandate is a farce! What have we to hide?"
"The girl was young, yet you condemn her to death, and unjustly annhilate our greatest fellow! What have you to say now, Wheil?"
Wheil and the other Council members ignored the taunts and protests as they led Lucario to the room, where an enormous vat filled with sparkling blue liquid stood in the center. As Lucario was led by Wheil to the plank over the center, he silenced his allies.
"This is my choice!" Lucario said. "I knowingly
The Origin of Lucario 7It had been several decades since Wheils fall, and the world had changed much from what Lucario now knew. Apricorn use amongst the humans was now widespread, and the balance between humans and pokemon had shifted. Now, even the most wild of pokemon stood a chance of being caught and tamed by a human armed with one of the capture devices. The Origin of Lucario 76 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
In this new world, hardly anybody--human or pokemon--ventured up to the high places of the mountain anymore; there really was no need. So, when the participants of Wheils War grew aged and passed away, and their children had forgotten the stories told to them by their parents, the old monastery hidden away at the peak was forgotten.
That suited Lucario just fine.
He stalked the crumbling structure, left alone in his thought. How many years old was he? Lucario knew not why, but when he had been turned into a pokemon, his lifespan seemed to stretch into the bounds of immortality.
The Origin of Lucario 9Ricky Manzanares dashed up the mountain slope, his pokemon trudging heavily behind him. Come on, dont stop moving! he yelled in desperation. Cranidos, Rock Slide! The Origin of Lucario 96 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
The tiny panting stone dinosaur took a brief pause in its endless tirade uphill to smash its considerable skull into a large boulder. The rocks rained down upon their pursuers, throwing them off.
I think that bought us some time! called out Ricky, zipping up his vibrant red jacket to protect against the increasing cold that came with a high elevation. The wind whipped through the childs deep brown hair, and the young trainer found himself wishing that he had some sort of hat to protect himself against the elements.
Checking behind him once more, Ricky saw that his Pichu was hovering near total exhaustion. It was time for his pokemon to return to its poke ball, but first...Ricky decided he wanted one la
