So after all those wonderful suggestions, my brain started working again. I thank you! Got a few in process, this is just one of them.
The bit when Ron give Hermione his handkerchief, bless him, he's trying his best. He may not usually have tact, but at least he knows he's not perfect. He's a sweetie at heart.
By the way, I once again used what I remembered from the book rather than looking at the quote, I'm trying to stop doing that. Harry is therefore not on a camp-bed. My bad.
'Don't!' squealed Hermione. Startled, Harry looked over just in time to see her burst into tears over her copy of Spellman's Syllabary. 'Oh, no,' said Harry, struggling to get up from the old camp bed. 'Hermione, I wasn't trying to upset-' But with a great creaking of rusty bedsprings Ron bounded off the bed and got there first. One arm around Hermione, he fished in his jeans pocket and withdrew a revolting-looking handkerchief that he had used to clean out the oven earlier. Hastily pulling out his wand, he pointed it at the rag and said, 'Tergeo.' The wand siphoned off most of the grease. Looking rather pleased with himself, Ron handed the slightly smoking handkerchief to Hermione.
I thought it about time I did some book illustrating again, but I've got that thing where I've looked at the picture for too long and now don't like it as much. I've edited it a little since yesterday though, it's a little better. I am hoping to change it more, but I need to continue with the commissions I've got going at the moment. Admittedly I didn't really look at the quote before drawing the picture, drawn from what I remember of the scene, so they'll probably be loads wrong... sorry.
I just love this scene anyway, it's such a sweet scene. Just think of Hermione's face, I don't think I've drawn the expression quite how I imagined it, but it's such a lovely expression it'd be hard to do it justice.
'Blimey, I hope they escaped,' said Ron, leaning back on his pillows. The tea seemed to be doing him good; a little of his colour had returned. 'I didn't get the feeling Reg Cattermole was all that quick-witted, though, the way everyone was talking to me when I was him. God, I hope they made it... if they both end up in Azakaban because of us...' Harry looked over at Hermione and the question he had been about to ask- about whether Mrs Cattermole's lack of a wand would prevent her Apparating alongside her husband- died in his throat. Hermione was watching Ron fret over the fate of the Cattermoles, and there was such tenderness in her expression that Harry felt almost as if he had suprised her in the act of kissing him.
Thought it was about time I uploaded some Ron and Hermione nonsense. Maybe it's a date, maybe Hermione is showing him something, maybe Ron won't tell Hermione where they are going on their date, maybe I'm just making stuff up because in actuality this drawing had no intentions other than to be of my favourite pair. Who can say? Haha.
Nothing special, just a little drawing in between commissions. Haven't drawn them in a while, hope it's satisfactory
Happy belated 32nd Birthday Ron! (Thursday 1st March). I was writing a hideous 3000 word essay from Friday and have been tweaking it all weekend so never got around to drawing a little something. Better late than never though I suppose.
Here is your lovely breakfast in bed... And your lovely trolling little son, Hugo.
Clearly trolling is genetic. I wanted to put Rose in there as well, but it was a little crowded so I decided against it. Again sorry about the background... I'm so lazy with them.
About time I drew some Harry Potter stuff. Haven't done any since November! Outrageous. I really haven't been in the mood to draw for the past few months, I think it's coming back. At least I've started to force myself to make time and sit down to draw something that I WANT to draw. It always starts off slow because you can't force inspiration and motivation but after a bit you get into the swing of it. Like writing an essay that you have no idea how to start, the introduction is always the worst but the bulk of the essay is much easier. Yes, I did just use a essay as an analogy.
Anyway, I hope all you Potter fans, and everyone else really, enjoy!
So I've had this drawing done for about 6 months, but I completely forgot about it because I am a massive goober.
I swear in the months I wasn't in University my brain turned to mush and I've been unable to gain back any form of intelligence. I guess this is why my friend nicknamed me 'Shit for Brains' or 'S4B' for short...
So here is the commission that should have been uploaded a million years ago, it is Ron, Hermione, Rose and Hugo on a Weasley family picnic.
Schiddoodles! Wow this is about a year old, hidden in the depths of my sketchbook.
A bunch of Ron drawings I did, I found it this weekend and spent my 15 min break at work just touching up certain areas which were crap.
I'm loathing work at the moment, I barely have anytime to think let alone draw. I've been taking my sketchpad into work just so I can do my commissions whilst on my lunch break. Not ideal but it's getting them done... slowly. :/
Anyway enough grumbling, this was a pleasant find, I don't often do character sheets so I'm glad I found this one. It's been nice to just draw for the sake of drawing, even if it was just 'neating' (as if I'm ever neat!) up an old drawing, it's been a while.
And also because it's Ron...
And he is awesome...
And I love him...
But not as much as Hermione...
But still very much!
No idea why I chose those poses. Suppose I wanted him to look endearingly goofy. 'Cause he is.
I haven't had a lot of time for drawing as of late. I've been in lectures, labs and private study starting at 9am and getting home around 8pm every weekday so needless to say I'm shattered.
I bought myself some coloured pencils recently because as I get home late, and am tired when I do, the only time I get to draw or colour is when I'm in Uni. So I've taken to hand colouring my drawings in between lectures, or at lunch. I haven't hand coloured drawings since 6th form College 2 years ago. I'm just easing back into it.
Anyway, few people commented on this drawing saying I should colour it. Figured I'd give them what they asked.
I spilt tea (once again, I really should be more careful!) on Ron's face and Harry's hair/neck smudging it slightly. I had a go at repairing the smudge so it's hopefully not that noticeable...
Yes I do believe in this pairing. It just makes sense in my mind. I think what Ron said to Rose in the '19 Years later' epilogue was foreshadowing. "Don't get too friendly with him, though, Rosie. Granddad Weasley would never forgive you if you married a pureblood." It's got to happen now.
Although he looks a lot like Draco, I don't imagine Scorpius to be like him personality wise. I think that due to the different social circumstances that probably surround the Malfoy family after the war inevitably made him fairly reserved and maybe a little uncomfortable to be a Malfoy. Perhaps rather ashamed of his own lineage, but that's just my theory. So here you have it, Rose Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy. Not sure what year they are supposed to be in though.
