Without Light Ch.1He bought me for the taste of my blood and the pain in my eyes. Ever since my father left, I've hated men, so I knew I'd hate Kuroshi from the moment we met. I hated his powerful body and glaring red eyes. The way he'd wrap his arms around me and press those fangs to my neck. I hated how he'd pin me down and make me beg or hold me up and piss me off. I hated his sarcasm and his wit. The only thing I didn't hate? That fine line between hatred and love. That and well, maybe the taste of his kiss.
Chapter one: Hikaru
"I'm sorry, Hikaru. I love you. I truly do "
Her father's trembling voice whispered to her, somehow: dancing on the night's winds. She didn't recall the words in the morning, and nor did she see the man who'd spoken them. In fact, Heather Hikaru noticed only two things that day: the dark, empty halls of her suburban home, more lonesome than she'd ever known them And mother's tears: that steady, unending flow of pure, refined misery
Captive VDante's strong arms carried Andrew into the kitchen, holding the shivering naked body close to him. "Easy shh " He whispered, carrying the other into the bedroom and setting him down on the sheets.Captive V4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Andrew's wide eyes roamed the bedroom, his hands touching the sheets. His pleading eyes looked up at Dante, who smiled.
"Go ahead." He said with a smile. "I'm going to get a bath ready, alright?" He said, and turned, putting up a barrier to keep Rowan out.
Andrew whimpered softly, and dove into the covers, smiling so hard his face hurt as he rolled himself up in as many blankets he could. He giggled and laughed until tears rolled down his face. He curled up in the warm sheets until he looked like a human burrito, and got stuck. He laughed as he cried, curled up in so many blankets on the bed.
When Dante came back in, he laughed. "Look at you." He said softly, smiling and gently petting the others hair. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up." He said softly, helping the other unroll.
My Demon Angel Chapter 1Italy. Home to some of the greatest minds and artists to ever live. That was my home. That was where I was born. To a small family that wasn't very well-to-do. I was Samuel De Luca. I am still Samuel De Luca. But I am different now.
I was named by my mother, who liked the Samuel from the Old Testament. I will always be Samuel, no matter that I am now called Samael. A minute difference, and yet so big a change.
I was with my father nearly every moment from the day I was born. My mother kept track of my five sisters, and never talked to me much. I hardly remember her. Her name was Annetta. She was from Florence. I don't know why she married my father and moved to Rome. I remember her saying once that Florence was more beautiful than the filth of Rome. She argued with my father that they ought to move to Florence. She wanted to see her family.
We went once. I've ra
Why Free Market Capitalism FailsIn this essay, I expose the flaws in the two mechanisms that are supposed to power the free market: Adam Smith's invisible hand and trickle down economics. The notion of the invisible hand holds that in a free marketplace, the buyer's self-interest will tend to drive the price down, while the seller's self-interest will tend to drive the price up, so that both parties' self-interest will naturally cause the price to settle on an amount that both find reasonable. Trickle-down economics maintains that the rich are the ones who start and expand businesses and hire employees, so the laws should favor them increasing their wealth as much as possible so they can hire more people, thus growing the economy. Why Free Market Capitalism Fails3 years ago in Philosophical More Like This

He sat down in front of me. He was too tall for me, so he had to sit. He could just wash his own hair, but he liked the way I did it. Plus, I guess it's sort of romantic... well, it was before it was routine.
But routine seems to be all our life is these days.
As usual, he got very sleepy from my gentle, rhythmic massaging of his scalp.
"Your birthday is coming up soon," I said pleasantly.
"Mmm, yeah..." he murmured.
"Any idea what you want?"
"Marcellus it's hardly a present if we do it all the time."
"Yeah... Guess so..."
"Don't fall asleep in the shower, dear."
He grumbled something I couldn't hear.
Then there was a knock on the door.
It was Vinny.
"Yes?" I called back.
"Okay I was just wondering where you were... Also I'm going up town."
"Where are you going?" I was almost done scrubbing, and I think Marcellus had fallen asleep...

First and foremost: Sex, genitalia, and the like will be an open discussion all the time 24/7.
Obviously I won't be doing things in front of the kid or to the kid but I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever in a million years make the poor thing feel like their body is wrong, gross, dirty, or the like, or that sexuality is the same.
The child will never be ashamed to come to me with questions, curiosities, help, and general discussion about their body, other bodies, sex, and the like. I will make sure of it. It will be as natural to talk to me about it as it will be to talk to me about dinner.
I will never hesitate to say the words "vulva", "vagina", "clitoris", "penis", "testicles", "anus", "nipple", "breast", and the like. Oh well okay that might be a lie I mig

Now listen here, before you go ahead and leap into this book, you might as well know a little about the author, and why I wrote this. Well, I'll start with this: The only reason this large piece of text exist is because of a joke me and a couple of other teenagers made on the account that so many idiots have gotten their books published, I just need to walk to a local publisher to make some instant money. This book has had no planning, no first thoughts, and it was written by a bored 8th grader. Nevertheless, I put as much effort in the... maybe 3 to 5 weeks it took to write this (I have no idea how long it took me to write this, in fact you're just reading the first few things I typed up in WordPad). Now how shall I describe myself? Well, think of this: Do you know about those teenaged hipsters/hippies you see almost every week who get high and protest about political crap th

This chapter is going to be tackling two things at once, so let me start with a small event that has happened in my neighborhood a while back. A couple of years ago (I think it was in 2009) A house near mine's burned to the ground while I was at school. Thankfully, no one was hurt and the surrounding houses were basically unharmed (But a couple of animals in said burned house were killed). Anyways when I got back from school, I noticed a family crying in front of their destroyed house. Now here comes the local news van here to get the scoop. They immediately start interviewing the crying family including their shocked daughter, who looks like she's under the age of 10. And mid-interview they ask her "Did you know your pet's died in the fire?", and it immediately got the reaction they wanted: more tears, cause apparently that makes for good TV. And that's just the start of this soap opera-esque load of crap.
A Thought Concerning VampiresSometimes I think they're all vampires.A Thought Concerning Vampires4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Sometimes I think they just suck up all of my energy because it's there.
Sometimes I feel like letting them take away all of it and just dying on them so they can't suck away my energy anymore.
Sometimes I just want to be a vampire back.
I rubbed my neck as I looked in the mirror. Green eyes rimmed with an amber brown stared back at me. They were sad eyes. Eyes that saw everything and sometimes revealed too much. Eyes that were shuttered windows to what was beyond.
I grabbed my brush and ran it through my hair, the dim light of the room giving it a red sheen that was all too brilliant. And still those green eyes stared back. Those green eyes with the Old Soul.
I touched my cheek, and watched as the hand in the mirror touched the girl's face. The cheeks that are usually flushed with laughter and tanned sunshine now held a pallor that wasn't there two weeks ago. The eyes, those green eyes, had bags under them.
Sometimes I think they suck

You mean other than the fact that this morning I was a thief, and now Im suddenly a prince?
Eliroh watched as she placed the clothes on a chair, neatly folded and pressed. The shirt was brightly coloured blue, the kind of colour that would cost a lot for any regular person to even find, and the trousers were a deep, majestic black. It was impossible to tell without handling them, but he was almost certain that they would be made of as rich a material as the bedclothes were.
You were always a prince, sire. Just didnt know it.
She seemed a friendly young lady, not dissimilar to the many girls he knew of her age around the town. Of course, they had treated him more of an equal than she ever would now.
Maybe not, but it never did
Little SamanthaThings were not well in little Samantha's life. Every night she cried herself to sleep, and she wouldn't talk to her family at mealtimes. The rest of the time she stayed locked up in her room. She would not look at anyone if they came in to see her, and would not speak if prompted. Her family thought she was angry at them, and so every time they saw her, they scolded her.Little Samantha4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

But this was not the problem, and little Samantha did not tell anyone this fact. So every time they reprimanded her, she withdrew more and more.
This had gone on for a week. Samantha was in bed, tucked down in her nightgown that was too large, for she'd been eating less and less, and she was crying. Normally she cried until she ran out of strength to do so, which was when she'd finally sleep. Tonight however was different.
As she lie softly weeping, she noticed a light on her wall. It was a thin bar of light that ran from the ceiling to

Chapter III : Caged
"Humans: The ever perfect example of a lemming. After nuclear war ravaged the once fertile planet, humans were left to almost certain death. That is until the Zoarians came. These perfect beings, who initially meant to help the human race, were perceived as a threat and attacked. The humans were dubbed too violent and were basically caged within a city created by the Zoarians. They are alive but they are literally treated like cattle in a pen. They are fed, watered, given clean air and ultraviolet light to keep them alive but forbidden to enter the upper world unless selected as a suitable slave or spoken for by one of the Zoarians. Some humans have banded together to try and take the upper city but they are soon found and disbanded. The Zoarians insist that the rebels are not harmed, as they don't believe in violence but... those that have committed this kind of treason are normally sent to the mines for the rest of their lives."

Fast Foreword: A Brief Introduction
Why are people so eager to tell me when they find God, but they never mention where he was hiding? Sorry, that's just been bugging me. Now about my essay I made it educational and concise, but I also tried to include some humor so it wouldn't read like an obituary column for any beliefs you may have had. To put it bluntly, this article's as likely to erase your faith in God as the Tanya Harding sex tape.
Okay, maybe that's a bit ambitious. Some people couldn't be convinced that God doesn't exist if God himself descended from the heavens just to announce that he doesn't exist. Even among otherwise critical thinkers, religion seems to be more or an emotional appendage than anything else. Trying to use reason to talk someone out of their religion seems as futile and incendiary as trying to logically convince someone they've married the wrong person. But I

I open my mouth and try to relay to you the admiration and adoration I feel, but I cannot find words that are strong enough to express the depth of my emotion. So, I simply hold you closer, and try to breathe you in. I want to inhale you, carry you inside me, feel you, taste you, experience you. Why do you shape my world, why are you in my dreams, why do I feel strange when I talk to you, as if I were naked, and you could see into the depths of my shaded soul? Tell me, what do you see?
