MusicTo live, to learn, to fly
To love to dream to die
To give it all up for the one you love
To give all glory to God above
To know who I am
To not be afraid
To know where to go
When I need an escape
To understand you're here for me
To look in the mirror and love what I see
To play to laugh to dance and sing
Music taught me everything.
MoonlightWalk in the sparkling moonlightMoonlight4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
See the trees and grass glow an eerie iridescent light
Look up in the stars and see their faces
The ones who broke your heart so many times
Who brought depression to your door step
Who built the white padded walls you know inhabit
Who knitted the straight jacket made from the tears you have cried for them
So many broken promises
See the glowing grass turn to charred ash
The trees set alight
See death walk among the flames
Scythe hanging loosely from his skeleton fingers
His face hidden in the cowls of his black robe
His wings spread high in the sky

I was an outcast at every school,
I always chose to be different,
And so the children decided to be cruel.
There was just one person,
She was my only friend,
The only person I could trust,
The only person which I could depend.
Soon she was my world,
The only one I saw,
She was my true best-friend
The one I would die for.
We spent all our time together,
So I no longer felt numb,
She laughed at all my jokes,
And met my foster mum.
We became inseparable,
I loved her like a sister,
But all too soon she was gone,
And oh how I missed her.
It turns out she had cancer,
And she suffered all alone,
My poor little sister,
My poor little Joan...
My mind tortures me with images,
Of her red rosy cheeks,
The pain is unbearable,
And my body silently shrieks.
People come and talk to me,
But I don't try to care,
All my brain will think about,
Is how much pain it can bear.
My eyes ran out of tears,
As they had all flown away,
My head is constantly pounding,
Day after day.
CompleteI treasure books; you never study.Complete5 years ago in Concrete Poetry More Like This
I hate much noise; you love to party.
I stop to think; you're quick to act,
And never ponder or regret.
I play it safe, you live to gamble.
With risk and luck your days are tangled.
I'm down-to-earth; you float on dreams,
Dismissing life's "prosaic" scenes.
I'm serious; you thrive on humor:
What I call failure, you call "bloomer."
We're opposites, like tart and sweet.
That's why, with you, I am complete.

The Girl Who Gave Up. The Girl Who Gave Up.The Girl Who Gave Up.4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
When everyone tells her she can't
And everyone believes she won't
When everyone's eyes pass over her
And everyone pretends she isn't there
When everyone has a snide comment
And when everyone has an unwelcoming ignorance about them
Who will she turn to?
Who will she find to love?
When there is no one there to turn to
She turns her back on everyone who turned their back on her
And when there is no one there to provide love
The love in her soul dries up
And evaporates into nothing
When everyone has a partner in class
She solemnly does it by herself
And when she does the best she can
But to everyone else it isn't enough
She begins to give up.
The spark leaves her eyes
And the spark leaves her heart
And the next time
She turns her soft brown eyes on you
They will be empty
And washed green from tears
They will be the eyes
Of the girl who gave up.

Why do they care?
Why must they
Just stop and stare?
No, I don't wear
Different, my clothes, my hair
And even my choice of music and bands.
I'm not a clone
I like myself now
And I'm not alone
To you, I will not bow.

The killer of millions and evil follows my gait.
Bow before my malevolence as so many have done before.
Reenact events of horrifying lore.
I am born into the backward and the nescient of mankind;
I seek to destroy both the body and the mind.
Come, sit and watch the devastation to be unfurled.
You can bring down upon me all the weapons in the world,
But I will merely step inside and eat your hope alive,
Unless you turn my legions, and from their souls revive
Taking ItTaking It4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
I have learned,
Throughout my life,
"Sticks and Stones" is a good motto.
I can maintain it,
I can take it.
Names don't externally influence me,
As far as the caller sees,
Lectures don't make me doubt myself,
As far as the 'teacher' sees.
But when I'm alone,
I'll choke up, cry myself empty, till the hatred evaporates.
But they won't know.
Because I can take it.
Their taunts, their lessons, their opinions,
I can take it.
But after a while,
When the taking it builds up,
And the hatred gains strength,
I can't take it,
Because I lie to myself,
I say, "Sticks and Stones,"
But sound can hurt worse than any solid material.
And I try to take it.
Melting A Frozen HeartMelting A Frozen HeartMelting A Frozen Heart4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Laying here on a stone crypt,
The moon watching over me
As I rest here icy and alone,
A heart no longer that is warm,
It's completely frozen and cold,
Reaching all the way to my barren soul,
You lay there my little one
Embracing the bitter cold,
Thinking that there is nothing left
That you are all alone,
Feel my touch on your creamy skin,
Burning through the arctic cold that
Now encases your soul,
What is this foreign feeling
That is trying to touch my heart?
Reaching and searching around,
Leaving so much warmth,
Who is that strokes my skin,
With such tender hands,
What is this spark that ignites my soul within?
Love my baby girl, that is what you feel,
It will keep on finding you,
And covering you until,
Until your frozen heart melts
And you know you're not alone,
I shall stay here with you,
Never letting you go,
How can you make such a promise,
You dare to try and make me feel,
Affecting this heart of mine,
Once I believed in everlasting love,
