This is a sibling of This one here is slightly bigger and much more shy. I have to keep staring at this little thorn ball for 5 minutes until the nose showed up. And I didn't bother to remove the wood shaving from its thorns cos if anything ever touched it again, the nose would be gone again....!
FAQ: How sharp are hedgehog thorns?? Answer: As sharp as real needles you use for sewing cloth, I think.
Have you ever been pricked with a real needle but not hard enough that it would not make you bleed, only hard enough to scream "OUCH!!"???
But somehow you believe it can prick through your skin and make you bleed if you pierce yourself hard enough into it or the other way around, yes...? That's the same way with the thorns on hedgehog, even the small one like this one here... Because it was my 1st time holding it, I couldn't stand holding it for more than 10 seconds and asked my friend for clothes for emergency glove.... ^^'
Summer = a lot of flowers blooming. And so that's the theme for this photo which is also my entry for the Hamster Summer Contest hold by #HAMSTER-lovers
Eva is an old hamster, she has cataracts on both eyes. Her left eye's iris doesn't even react to the light anymore... She has a fat bump on her left eye lid since september, last year : [link] The good news is the bump is slightly getting smaller now and fur has grown on it. The bad news is another bump has started showing on the right eye lid too. Anyway, she's healthy now and her nose & whiskers are doing awesome jobs for her sight.
