Shallow SmilesA boy sits beside a hospital bed. Tears stream down his face, but he isn't making a sound. He's just silently weeping to himself he knows he should look up, he knows he should look at her and her endless perfect beauty but he can't, he can't bring himself to do it, so he just sits there staring at the floor.Shallow Smiles5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
I just sat there, staring at the floor
"Hey Lilly" I said casually as I strolled into the school yard. Lilly was always at school early, she only lived down the street from school, you could see her road from basically any classroom.
"Hey Paul, how are you this beautiful morn?" she said cheerily, throwing me one of her heart stopping smiles. These were the kind of smiles that I lived for, they were my heroin and I could never get enough of my fix.
"I'm pretty good thanks, how about yourself?" I love the way she spoke, it was seamless there was never a pause, never a stutter nothing ever seemed to break her stride while she was speaking.

Is waking up,
no longer wanting to hide
In the depths
Trying to free it's self
From the cage which is myself
In which it hid.
It so desperately wants to be free.
It's killing me from inside.
Until Finally Free.
The wolf replaces my human self.
And the woods become my only friend.

Thin dour contempt for yester' careless fling.
So soon hast summer's contemplative dread.
Turned limply as the coverlets on thy bed.
Where icy fingers trailed a loathsome touch.
Belying crackled smile that promised much.
When days with thee shortened with seasons chill.
As beguiling plans so laid promised me ill.
A putrid mix of hoary witches in thy blood.
Erupting forth as icy waters at the flood.
Yet shall I now be free from odorous wench.
Cloying scent doth urge my vomit wrench.
Now I shake myself apart of clawing spite.
To watch thy being dissolve into the night.
God help all men who suffer thy evil thorn.
The foulest corner of hell thou were so born.

Prologue: A meeting in the Forest
In the infinite reaches of time
In the immense and widely populated land of Hyrule
In the vast, deep Kokiri Forest far to the east
A strange ball of light shot through the thick array of trees and other peculiar plant life. This ball of light was a special being known as a fairy of the forest, and this certain fairy was called Navi. Everything from the thousands of giant trees, the swaying grass, and the many number of creatures that lived throughout the forest shone with a glorious azure glow as Navi soared straight over them in a hurry. Her beautiful and radiant body lit up the gloomy darkness of the forest, casting eerie shadows that danced with the blue light. Her tiny silver wings fluttered through the cold midnight air, leaving a whimsical, shimmering stream of pristine-white dust behind her.

is pounding in my brain.
Like a hammer constantly colliding
into a brick wall.
The hard shell of my body
only amplifies the sounds all,
because I am empty.
In the midst of a lone night,
I have the same dreams.
For the images are like a movie
set on replay.
In this blurry depths on my thoughts,
these demons,these fears.
All have twitching fingers.
They touch my belly button,
and press into my skin.
And sink and stay.
They hide and bubble in my core.
The hairs on my flesh all rise,
the blood in my veins run twenty below.
And though, I may try to escape,
Though, I may scream until my lungs give out,
Though,I may run until both of my legs
are snapped into broken hard bones.
I know now, there's no way of waking up .

A sinner's evil has come back.
Clothed in the green of fields a hero rides.
On a mission that's do or die.
From a tranquil forest home he comes.
A blond haired youth with wild blue eyes,
And a sacred power locked inside.
His need will call man and beast,
Until the endless sin has ceased.
To find a temple hidden away,
To find the sword to light the way.
Save the princess.
Fight the fight.
Be our forever guiding light.
Mark the way.
Forge a path.
Let the darkness feel your rath.
Seal it away,
Forever and a day.
Until the day comes,
When the evil begins again.
Let your story be told,
To the kin of your kin,
You, the legend, that survived on the wind.

You are the last
You are the present
You are the past
You are my soul
You are my light
You are my life raft
You are my knight
New mercies each day
You have given to me
Because of You
I miss the mark
And sin pulls us
You make me strong
You never let me go
I know this because
You love me so.
You're Only What You SeeI hear them say, one by one, each in their own little way, "I'd like to know that somebody cares, even if it were only for a day." Every thought is simply embedded in the back of their heads, shackled to the complex corners of their walls, transfixed in a grotesque fashion on a detest day, strewn upon the strands of their lives like a feeble flower withering in the pestilence of their waning spirit. Once in a weary morning, you wake aloft to the promising scent of life, its pleasance and prominency assuring the independant happiness that expands inside of you. A few years later, on behalf of my desirous heart, I shall hear them say one by one once more, lacking their fear, "I know that somebody loves me somewhere out here."You're Only What You See4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This

the fat of my gluttony shed for a moment, like the athletic child I'd been.
Still, so hungry I bit and bat at the terrified rabbits, snapping a neck,
and so I began to eat a dear old friend of mine, none the wiser, poor Julia.
On the eve of our downfall, the cities stopped their incessant buzzing,
Rockets froze in the air, vapour and fire became a beautiful thing.
Some tired, bored creator, caught in a moment of whimsy,
Shifted our souls from one thing to the next, a wonderful game it must have been.
As a grasshopper, I perched on a tear in a paper door, playing my new instrument,
Strong smells, bamboo, earth and smoke. I was a nuisance,
My song was loud and urgent, I wanted attention.
As a cow my heart wept for my stolen children, belly fat again, I was swollen.
My integrity lost, imprisoned yet free to wander under the weight of pending execution;
Due date unknown.
I was no less alive than the grass I consumed so fev
