My Missingno Story
My Missingno Story
The following story is completely true. This experience forever changed my way of viewing inanimate objects.
I was just your average 10 year old when I first got my copy of Pokemon Red. And like any other kid at the time, Pokemon was the BOMB, the best thing out there.
As surprising as it was, everyone in my class had the game. We all took our gameboys to school and would play the game together on recess. Helping each other out if we ever had trouble, trading high leveled pokémon in order to clear the gyms, or just guide each other through the game.
They were wonderful times, and I made memories that I will cherish forever.
One day a friend of mine got the game, and my group decided to help him out by lending him our most powerful pokémon. So he could quickly clear the game, and catch any pokémon he wanted.
And so I said goodbye to my first pokémon Chacha.
Haha, yes laught it up. I know you're snickering and I know you're gues

"Princess, I've told you many times not to go out on the woods at night," said a father to his daughter. There was a disappointed look on his face as pulled at the girls hand.
They walked hand in hand. The man was leading the young girl back to their home away from the woods into a vibrant plain with a cozy two story house.
However, the little girl turned her head away from her father and pouted.
Despite this, the man continued to talk to her. "You know how dangerous the woods can be at night," he continued, but to no avail.
The girl continued to pout. He didnt understand... he didnt know what she knew...
"You don't know that," she mumbled as she kept looking away.
The man stopped briefly, turned around, and rested his hands over his daughter's shoulders.
"You don't know about the incident that happened 3 years ago," he said with a caring voice. "You were too young to remember, but there was an alert for a very dangerous animal or pokémon that wrecked the forest,"

But something caught my gaze,
It was a plush that stood out in the haze.
Charizard, the beast of flames,
They were prone to have those names.
I begged for it until my mom gave in,
I squeeled and threw the toy in our bin.
Once we arrived at our abode,
I switched into my creative mode.
Me and Charizard had many adventures,
In my room and yard to even the dish washers.
We both had so much fun,
Playing all day out in the sun.
But our absolute greatest plunder,
Is when I stopped to stare at him in wonder.
I noticed a slot in his back,
I unzipped it and found a pack.
It was filled to the brim with candy,
Well, wasn't that quite handy?
Awfully hungry and completely wore out,
I thought to myself without a doubt:
Don't want this candy to go to waste, hey,
Might as well eat this and call it a day!
I munched and chewed on the treat,
I thought that it was really neat,
It's like getting two for one,

My name has been lost with the eons, in the sands of the desert. I know not my name. I only know what I am... A Sigilyph.
A pokemon who once watched over an ancient city from the natural disasters and enemies.
It was many hundreds of years ago.
Our numbers were great then. We each held a city in our guard, amongst the blowing sand and sparce trees.
My city was the largest. The capital.
I was entrusted with it by my father on his deathbed. I cared for the city as my father before me had, but I had not the power he held.
It was an especially windy day. The sand around us whipped and howled, and the nearby city ruins were finally completely decimated.
The unown that had lived there were blown into our city and immediately began to plaster themselves to the walls.
This would not do. This was the home for the people, the unown must leave.
I attempted several times asking them to leave, but they refused.
Eventually I grew tired, and readied my

It started about... what, 2 months ago? Yeah, 2 months ago, about halfway through October. I was on Youtube, searching for random videos of who knows what when one of the people I subscribed uploaded a video. They were uploading a video that had scary video game music every day of the month until Halloween, and so far they had been uploading some pretty good and very unnerving music I had never heard before. So I was shocked to see they had uploaded Pokemon music.
I clicked on it anyways. It was the old, first version of the Lavender Town theme song. When I listened to the theme I remembered hearing it before, when I had played through the game. It honestly didn't sound scary at all to me, I actually even liked hearing it. But then I looked at the comments on the video.
Some users were talking about how Japanese kids had committed suicide on themselves after listening to this song. Interested,

It all started about two weeks ago. I was shopping with my friends when we went into the local GAME store. I walked over the shelf where the new Pokémon games were. Pokémon: Black and White Versions, £30 each.
"Damnit. I need a tenner" I searched through my purse. I only had £20. I decided to look at the preowned game section. After about ten minutes most of my friends had bought their copies of Portal 2 and Nintendogs 3D and were standing next to me, helping me search through the shelves. It was another five minutes before we found anything.
"Got it" I grinned and held up a DS box. Pokémon: Black Version. Preowned. Only £10.
"Only a tenner?" My friend stared at the price tag.
"It clearly says it there. Ten pounds." I took it over the checkout and bought it. It was defiantly ten pounds.
When our trip was over and I was at home, I quickly slotted Pokémon Black into my DS lite. The game started up, and I selected new game. I got through the

It was around eight PM, and my daughter had been in her room playing video games since eight AM. I'd heard her scream a few times throughout the day, but recently she'd been getting into horror games, and that was now a normal occurrence so I thought nothing more of it. But since she'd been in there literally all day without leaving once I needed to take an intervention.
I opened the door casually, calling out her name. Her not answering was my first clue something was wrong. I checked her bed, closet, and even shelves and cabinets, but there weren't any clues as to where she could've been. Getting frantic she'd been kidnapped or worse, I decIded instead to dwell in the thought that she may just be outside or in another room and I just didn't hear her sneak out like she usually does.
Before I left, I couldn't help but notice her GameCube. T

As soon as he left I locked the car, as I'm very paranoid. Then I tuned the radio to my favorite station and turned up the volume as loud as I could without busting my ear drums. Now that I had felt comfortable, I pulled out my Gameboy, which I had brought with me. And inside it was FireRed. I turned the volume on my GameBoy down, as I wanted to listen to the radio while I played my game.
It had been a while since I last played the game. When my save file loaded I found myself to be standing on Treasure Beach, that island below One Island. I opened the menu and clicked on my Pokemon, to find my normal party, except for a Dratini

Kara's MemoryI remember when I was a little kid, I wanted to dress up as Cubone for Halloween one year. My parents didn't let me, but I really wanted to, because Cubone was (and still is) one of my favorite Pokemon, and my favorite Ground type, tied only with Sandile and its evolutions, and Sandshrew and Sandslash.Kara's Memory4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
One thing that bugged me every time I fought Giovanni in the old games was the fact that he had a Kangaskahn, and that was his only non-ground type. To this day, every time I battle him when I restart LeafGreen I have a Pokemon use Surf first, then remember when it's too late that Surf won't be a very effective move.
It wasn't until just recently that I discovered just why I always forget and think that Kangaskahn is a ground type.
Apparently, it was said in an early interview with one of the game programmers/designers that Kangaskahn was originally supposed to be the evolved form of Marowak. This, for me, closed a lot of holes, like why Giovanni has one, and why it looks similar
Unevolved Pokemon. They've got to be the biggest part of my childhood. From playing the first games to the newest ones, I've never stopped loving them. I remember when I was younger I would actually give away my old PKMN cartridges 'cause I felt bad for the kids who didn't get to play these awesome games. But now I regret it, and there's nothing I can do...right? Wrong. I began my search to find at least one of the three oldest PKMN games, and one day I came across one of my favorites: Pokemon Yellow.Unevolved4 years ago in Horror More Like This

"Oh wow, Pokemon HeartGold!"
I plucked the shining game package from the torn wrapping paper, a grin stretched across my face.
Though I had already played SoulSilver a few months earlier, I was eager to start fresh, and play as a different character with new Pokemon to control.
That's why I asked for it for my 18th birthday. I was as excited as a child, and instantly started my new game.
Being used to a dark, underwater atmosphere, I smiled a bit when I saw the pixelated Ho-oh flying across the HeartGold title screen, its wings sparkling in the sunlight.
I began my game with the name "Gold". Original, I know. But as a reader of the Pokemon Adventures manga, I wanted to name the game characters after their comic counterparts. My rival was named Silver, and I chose Cyndaquil as my starter.
After wishing my in-game mom goodbye, I began my virtual adventure. Though I've been playing these games since Red and Blue days, I've always experienced a thrill when each game starts.
Creepypasta - ParalyzedPokemon Diamond. My most beloved game ever, the one I had beaten within days of getting it. I was well on my way to catching every Pokemon, only a few left. Whenever I was bored, I'd whip out my old DS and have a wander around with the Poke Radar, looking for the ones that had escaped my attention. It was taking a really long time, but I refused to cheat, and I didn't want to trade for it either. That just left the old fashioned way - good old man power.Creepypasta - Paralyzed4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
It was roughly 1am. I have quite severe insomnia, making it impossible for me to sleep some nights. It was times like these that I would play Diamond to tire out my brain, and half the time it managed to induce sleep in me. Maybe it would work tonight.
Yawning softly, I booted up the game and went to try for 100 straight battles in the Battle Tower. I was at 48, but then lost to the Battle Tycoon. Damn him. I didn't have enough will power to try again, so I decided to instead go looking for Pokemon with the Poke Radar. I had never sear

I guess some people just hate Bug types, but I love them. I named her Nancy, I found that name really sweet and fitting for her. My other Pokemon don't really like her, but they'll just have to get used to her because I'm definately not letting her go.
Entry 3: Been a couple of days since my last entry. Nancy is doing absolutely great! She's very strong and amazing in battle! My other Pokemon have accepted her in their little group and like to be around her now. Even my mom and sister are starting to like her. I like to keep her out of her Pokeball, she really likes to explore. That's all I have to write.

I mean, who hasn't tried out one of the three 'Mew Glitch' methods out at some point? I know I had tried the first two methods before with no issues, and I wanted to give 'Method #3' aka the Ditto Method a shot.
I was playing through Yellow anyway after all, a Nuzlocke challenge that I had already beaten, and
my team wasn't doing much else anyway
I decided today would be the day I finally caught a glitch Pokemon, after all, I wanted to see what kind of damage this one could do in battle- I heard it was relatively safe to capture, and it wouldn't destroy my save data.
So, I went online and looked up how to do 'the Ditto method'. I knew that in order to catch Mew with this method, you had to have a Pokemon with a Special stat of 21, but as I was hunting for a glitch Pokemon, I had to have a Special stat high up in the 150 and over range.
As I was looking on Bulbapedia to see which glitch Pokemon were available

I turned on the lights in the family computer room and turned the computer on. Personally I disliked the shared computer since I had my own laptop but sin
SavingBetas are always interesting, to put it in simplest terms. Have you even seen Beta Gold? That thing has so much beta stuff it could be a whole new game on its own. Unreleased Pokémon, scrapped events and plot, whole unused areas, tons of odd tidbits of unused data and text... It was really something. This coupled along with the fact that boredom is boring, and ROMs are free and easy.
I wasted about half of my day searching codes, finding out which beta element was where, how to hack this item, the whole package. To my PokéBeta unsatisfaction, most of the beta elements couldn't be found through codes and hacking. Well, from my very limited hacking skills that mainly relied on codes anyways.
After tinkering around though, I finally found some codes that unlocked unused text, which was my first big achievement of the day. Most was random and useless, and caused

It was lovely day, and I was sitting in my room, playing with my dolls. I loved to collect dolls. Plush dolls, especially. There was that Charizard one, and the Zigzagoon one, all of them were Pokemon dolls. All except one. It was a weird gray one, with big yellow eyes that stared at me. And the mouth that's just a zip.
I had tried unzipping the zip, and found a piece of candy there. I ate it, and it tasted bitter. Horribly bitter. One of the reasons I hated that doll. I stuffed stones into the zip and flung it to one corner. I would call it Banette. An ugly name, suited for a despicable doll like this.
I left it at the corner for months, until I received my first Pokemon. It was a Rattata. I simply adored it, and brought it up to my room. When it came up, the first thing it did was throw Banette a disgusted look. It loathed Banette too. I walked over and picked it up, feeling the

Pokemon LoveLostTo cut a long intro short, I found a used copy of SoulSilver at my dear local GameStop. It was cheap, so I bought it with my own money, and I went home to play it, usual scenario. When I started to play it though, my little sister kept annoying me, begging for me to let her play it too. So I casually selected start.
When the game started up, it just took me straight to the screen where you choose your trainer's gender. Instead of a trainer sprites though, there was an Espeon sprite for the male, and Glaceon for the female. I thought for a bit, and

I don't know why the Dragonite did it, I don't know why he killed my beloved trainer!
She was so young... a-and so kind...
Why did he do it?
I lower my paw sadly onto the stone before looking up at the man who runs this place, he gives me a sad look, with kind eyes.
"Please, young Eevee... take as long as you need to say goodbye."
With this he leaves me in peace.
That man reminds me of her. Kind, and caring to a pokemons needs and feelings.
I feel the cold stone of my trainers grave again, and mumble
"I miss you... I know you wouldn't want me to hurt that Dragonite... but I'm just so angry..."
I stare at the stone again, watching my tears drop steadily and darkening the stone. I've been coming here every day...
It's been a month, yet I still can't let this go... this trainer was my life...
I loved my trainer... and she loved me!
And then that Dragonite...
That DAMNED Dragonite...
